1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk. Powered by a 289 CI 4 barrel engine and an automatic transmission. This Studebaker began it's life in California, in the Los Angeles area, and spent 28 years there, in 1990 it was driven to Missouri. Shortly after arriving in Missouri the car was sold and the new owner wanted to do a restoration. The transmission and rear end were rebuilt prior to leaving California so the new owner started with the engine, having it professionally completely rebuilt from oil pan to carburetor at a cost of $3,200.00 in 1992 from a reputable local shop. I have very good documentation on the engine rebuild with a list of new parts used and machine work. The new owner purchased historic license plates for the car and drove the car a total of 95 miles since the rebuild in 1992 to present. Most of the time the car has sat on a concrete slab beside his garage under a tree just watching the years roll by and slowly deteriorating. Through the years the car was started occasionally and later just turned over to keep it loose. The body on the car is very straight. The car appears to have had one repaint and the color changed from silver to white, this was a less than quality job and the white paint is flaking off in places. There is through rust low in both front fenders, there are rust bubbles starting to form in the front of both rear fenders, there is rust in the left hinge area of the hood and a crease from the hinge being stiff, there is rust along the lower lip of the deck lid. It would be best if the hood and deck lid could both be replaced, and the rest of the areas should be repairable. All of the glass is in tact, the wing windows are starting to bubble and there are some light wiper marks on the passenger side of the windshield, and the rest of the glass is excellent. The interior is the worst part of the car, the headliner has separated and is hanging down but all of the headliner trim is nice and still in place. The padded dash has a small split maybe 1" long. All of the seats are in place but need new covers, the door panels are in place but are starting to show wear, and the carpets are rotten and mostly removed so the floors can be seen. The front passenger floor is soft and has holes and will need to be replaced, and the rest of the floors are brown but are solid. The dash insturments are all in place as they should including the clock, the factory tach and the radio. The trunk floor is also very crusty, has holes and will also need work. The exterior trim is about 15% dinged up or pitted and about 85% excellent. Both bumpers are loosing chrome and the back one is bent, I do have a spare good front bumper. The grill and the aluminum trim on the deck lid is very nice. This Studebaker is equipped with power steering, Mark IV add-on A/C, bucket seats with a heater under the passenger seat, and a floor console. All of the tires have tread and the back two look brand new but the are all over 20 years old and dry rotted, but do hold air, all are on factory steel wheels with full wheel cover which are in good condition. The odometer reads 28,614 and I assume that is 128,614 but cannot document that. This is a complete car that I consider to be in very good condition for it's age and would make a great restoration project for someone to finish what was started 21 years ago, and remember that the engine only has 95 miles on it and the oil is still clean from that 1992 rebuild. The car is currently not running or road worthy and will need to be hauled to it's new home. I have tried to describe this old Studebaker to the best of me ability but have probably missed something that you would like to know, if so just ask. If you would like to inspect the car prior to the end of the auction again just ask and arrangements will be made. Car comes with a good Missouri title and a genuine 1959-1964 Studebaker shop manual. The winning bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs if needed, and I will help with arranging pickup and loading on this end.

Maserati Ghibli Trofeo, Quattroporte Trofeo revealed with Ferrari V8; Levante Trofeo updated
Mon, Aug 10 2020Maserati just revealed a new Trofeo line of vehicles. They include the Ghibli Trofeo, Quattroporte Trofeo and an updated Levante Trofeo. We’re most excited about the new Ghibli Trofeo, which drops a V8 into the smaller Ghibli for the first time. Just like the Levante Trofeo, itÂ’s using the Ferrari 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 that makes a whopping 580 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and power is routed exclusively to the rear wheels. Yeah Â… itÂ’s bound to be a bit hair-raising. Maserati says the 0-62 mph run is completed in 4.3 seconds, and it has a top speed of 202 mph. Updates to the exterior include new 21-inch wheels, carbon aero trim, black grille, rear extractor, more air outlets on the hood, redesigned taillights and the trident Trofeo badge sitting aft of the rear window. A new Trofeo script badge sits above red-accented trim on the fender for all three models now, too. Next up is the Quattroporte Trofeo. This one amounts to more of an incremental update, as Maserati already sells the Quattroporte in GTS trim. The V8 engine makes 530 horsepower in that lesser trim, but Maserati pumps it up to the full 580 horses for the Trofeo. Power is sent to the rear wheels only in this model. Since itÂ’s a larger and heavier sedan than the Ghibli, 62 mph comes two tenths of a second slower at 4.5 seconds. Top speed is identical to the Ghibli at 202 mph, though. Last up is the Levante Trofeo, which makes do with the same exact engine as before. Interestingly enough, the Levante is quicker to 62 mph than the sedans, hitting the mark in just 4.1 seconds. However, Maserati has dressed up the exterior and interior a bit more. The three share interior design details, including Pieno Fiore leather, trident-embossed headrests, carbon trim and Trofeo-specific digital graphics. The Ghibli and Quattroporte gain larger 10.1-inch touchscreens with better resolution. Maserati retained the 8.4-inch screen on the Levante, but updated it with better graphics and a higher resolution. Both timing and pricing remain question marks for the new Trofeo models. Maserati Levante is Italy's answer to the Porsche Cayenne
Tue, Mar 1 2016When Maserati released the first images of the new Levante – and said little else about it – we wondered what it would be under the hood. Crossover or not, it is still a Maserati, after all. The full details are now here. Globally speaking, Maserati will offer the Levante with three engine options. All of them are turbocharged 3.0-liter V6s, but they vary widely in output and even burn different types of fuel. The base model packs 350 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque for a 0-62 time of 6.0 seconds flat – the same as the base Ghibli, but four tenths slower with a bigger form to move. The Levante S offers a rather impressive 430 hp and 427 lb-ft (more than the Ghibli S) for a 5.2-second sprint. And while the diesel model has the least power, it also offers the most torque, at 275 hp and 442 lb-ft (slightly more than the oil-burning sedan) for a 6.9-second time. Whichever engine is chosen, it comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and a limited-slip differential. Those output figures compare rather favorably to the Porsche Cayenne with which the Levante will invariably be compared. But Porsche and Maserati aren't the only high-end, old-world automakers that have now broken into the crossover game. So have Bentley and Jaguar, and soon so will Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Lotus, and Rolls-Royce. It's all part of an onslaught of crossovers coming from some of Europe's most vaunted marques. And while Maserati hasn't gotten there first, it hasn't gotten there last, either. With two sedans already out and a new sports car on the way, the Levante puts the Modenese automaker in prime position to grow, and grow big. As with many Maseratis from the past, the new car's name is inspired by a wind: the Levante is a warm Mediterranean wind that can change from a light breeze to an irresistible natural force in an instant, mirroring the character of the first Maserati SUV. The Levante is the ideal complement to the Maserati range. Combined with the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo and GranCabrio, the range now covers the entirety of the global luxury automotive market.
