********** 2010 MASERATI GRAN TURISMO CONVERTIBLE **********

FOR BUYERS LOOKING PAST THE USUAL SUSPECTS, MASERATI’S GRANTURISMO OFFERS SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY IN A HIGH-PERFORMANCE, SIX-FIGURE COUPE OR CONVERTIBLE, ONE THAT EMBODIES ALL THAT IS COMPELLING AND IRRESISTIBLE ABOUT ITALIAN CARS. THE EXTERIOR HAS CURVES IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES; THE INTERIOR IS LAVISHLY APPOINTED. THERE IS AN AMAZING, 454-HP 4.7-LITER V-8 THAT IS GOOD FOR SUB-5.0-SECOND 0-60 RUNS. THE DROPTOP ADDS WEIGHT AND LACKS THE COUPE’S STIFFNESS AND RESPONSE, BUT STILL LOOKS FABULOUS. THE CAR IS SIZEABLE WITH TWO SEATS IN THE REAR THAT WILL ACCOMMODATE MOST ADULTS, AND LEG AND HEAD ROOM ARE WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT IN A SPORTING CONVERTIBLE. BENEATH THE BROAD SLOPING HOOD LIES THE EXCELLENT MASERATI 4.7-LITER V-8 ENGINE BOASTING 440 BHP AND 361 LB.-FT. F TORQUE. ACCELERATION IS ALL YOU WOULD EXPECT, AND MORE, WITH A DELIGHTFUL LINEAR ACCELERATION RATE RIGHT UP TO REDLINE. AND WITH THE TOP DOWN, THE ENGINE'S RUMBLING EXHAUST IS MUSIC TO AN ENTHUSIAST'S EARS.

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN CONVERTIBLE. IT HAS BEEN PURCHASED AND KEPT IN SUNNY SOUTHWEST FLORIDA AND IT SHOWS. THE VEHICLE IS UP TO DATE ON ALL MAINTENANCE AND IS IN TOP WORKING CONDITION.

2017 Maserati Levante is somewhere under all that cladding

Thu, Sep 24 2015

There's an influx of crossovers coming from high-end European marques in the coming years – and we've already seen most of them in one form or another. One of the few exceptions is the forthcoming Maserati Levante, and if you can believe it, this is the best look we've had at it yet. Like the Bentayga for Bentley, the F-Pace for Jaguar, the DBX for Aston Martin, or the Urus for Lamborghini, the Levante will be Maserati's first crossover. It was previewed by the Kubang concepts of 2003 and 2011, but the closest we've gotten to the finished product so far has been some test mules running under modified Ghibli sedan bodywork and a series of purported patent drawings. Mind you, these spy shots don't show us a whole heck of a lot either, as heavily camouflaged and cladded as this prototype is. But under all that padding is what appears to be the bodywork that we'll be seeing on the production version once it makes its debut sometime next year. Look for the Ghibli's twin-turbo V6 engines to propel Maserati head-first into new territory, and likely pave the way for an Alfa Romeo crossover to follow. All we can see for the time being, really, are the exposed wheels. But if those giant brake discs filling their spokes are anything to go by, the Levante ought to represent the Modenese automaker well in what's becoming an ever-pricier, more performance-focused, and more competitive market segment. Porsche and its trendsetting Cayenne ought to take notice. Related Video:

Maserati and Zegna to roll out limited-edition Quattroporte in Frankfurt

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Back in April, Maserati announced a new partnership with men's clothier Ermenegildo Zegna. We wondered at the time how a Maserati could possibly get any more stereotypically Italian stylish, but now the Modenese automaker is presenting the answer in this fresh take on the new Quattroporte.
When the doors open at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, Maserati will unveil the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition concept car. That's their name, not ours, and if you're wondering how a production vehicle could be turned at once into both a concept and a limited edition, well... we don't know, either. Maserati says that it previews a production version to follow next year.
So, confusing nomenclature aside, what are we looking at here? For starters, there's a special platinum-color paint finish with tiny aluminum flecks and a gloss-black primer to give it that extra-deep luster. And the interior has been upholstered in "moka" and "greige," with leather seats, door panels and headliner and other surfaces finished in Zegna's own textiles.

Learn why this man has four different Maserati 3500GT classics

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

When you're born, it's impossible to know what sort of cars you'll be into as an adult. Your dad might be into old Mopars while your mom prefers a Ford Mustang. You, on the other hand, might end up being a fan of English cars (that was the case with your author, at least). Regardless of which vehicle type, era or marque you prefer, though, it's usually possible to trace back to the exact moment you fell in love with them.
For Frank Mandarano, his love of all things Maserati started at its birthplace in Italy, before spawning into a passion that saw him found a club and take possession of four 3500s over the years. One car in Mandrano's one-make collection stands out, though - a rare 3500GT that was imported into Mexico in 1960. It is a sweet sounding and gorgeous coupe to behold, making it the perfect subject for the crew at Petrolicious. Scroll down and have a look.
