This Maserati Gransport has a 400 horsepower Ferrari-based 4.2 liter V8 engine that looks, sounds, and feels amazing. The engine revs so quick, it just begs you to merge onto the highway open it up! The transmission in this car is equally impressive with technology that is very similar to Formula-1 race cars. It has steering wheel mounted paddle shifters that can make gear changes in a fraction of a second or you can put it in full automatic mode and just enjoy the drive at a leisurely pace. This Maserati is in phenomenal shape inside and out. The paint and body are nearly flawless and the interior is exceptionally clean. The seats are very comfortable GranSport bucket seats that have nice side bolsters and they are power adjustable in every way. Everything works flawlessly. I keep this in my private jet hanger in Scottsdale, Arizona when it is not driven, and it is available to see at almost any time.

The engine, which is related to the 4.3-liter V-8 in the upcoming Ferrari F430, is "blueprinted"-built with selected components to finer tolerances than the standard Maserati-and has a different exhaust system and inlet manifolds. And taking a cue from Ferrari, the exhaust system has a pneumatic valve to reduce back pressure and make a gloriously rich sound when the "sport" button is pressed.

It has SkyHook active dampening suspension which can instantly adjust the firmness of its shocks in a corner to prevent body roll and gives incredible handling without affecting overall ride quality. The GranSport also has a slightly more tuned exhaust system with by-pass valves for additional horsepower and a slightly more aggressive tone in the upper RPM range.

I have a Maserati dealer pre-purchase vehicle inspection report showing every quality aspect of the car, the maintenance and the absolute clarity that this car was never wrecked. Zero frame damage, no body panels were replaced. This has now been issued a reconstructed title in Arizona. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles performed a complete inspection in compliance with the Arizona Department of Transportation to prove that this vehicle is roadworthy in the same manner as it was originally built at the factory.

KBB value of this vehicle is $46,383. NADA is $52,200. This is priced to sell.

2018 Maserati GranTurismo First Drive | Better with age?

There are not many rational reasons for owning a Maserati GranTurismo (or GranCabrio convertible, for that matter). Even Maserati admits this. The short list occupies a single paragraph. Firstly, the GranTurismo is not German. Don't laugh. For some people, that's enough. Secondly, it has rear-seat space and comfort that remains the class benchmark. Thirdly, its cabin is the place where art and craftsmanship meet. There are far more rational reasons to not buy one. Let's tick them off, since we're in the mood. Firstly, it's already had its tenth birthday. It's not jeepers-fast by today's standards and neither is it remotely frugal. It drives the back wheels through a six-speed transmission, so it has 50 percent fewer gear ratios than AMG. Also, the only thing light about it is the weight of its driver-assistance systems. The 4.7-liter GranTurismo and its roofless GranCabrio sibling prospered in the plus-minus ledgers early in their careers, but they now operate outside them, in the sketchbooks of translated emotion. The Pininfarina-designed body is still stunning, a decade on, from any angle. It's had some tickles on the front and rear bumpers to make the grille more like the one on the Alfieri concept car, there are new headlights in the same space and the aerodynamics have been cleaned up so it can streak beyond 186 mph. When we say "streak" we really mean "creep" because it tops out at 187 mph. It has air vents behind the front wheels now, but they're not functional, and neither are the three signature vents high up on the front fenders. Maserati's aero guys tested German cars with working air vents and found their aero contributions were minimal. The air inlet on the MC's is, though, and so are the twin hot-air outlets that give the carbon-fiber hood its exaggerated contours. The big news from the Powertrain Department is that it's been busy eliminating stuff, rather than doing new things. It simplified its life by killing off the entry-level 4.2-liter V8, so the only engine in the entire range now is the Ferrari-built 4.7-liter, 90-degree V8. Don't think of bolting in the torque-rich twin-turbo V6 motor from the Ghibli, Quattroporte or Levante – or the twin-turbo V8, either Â– since neither are available. The V8 also comes in just the 453 horsepower version, regardless of whether you like the standard GranTurismo Sport or shell out another $17,745 for the $150,570 GranTurismo MC.

Maserati adds rear seats to GranTurismo MC Stradale for Geneva

More seats inside the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale means the possibility of a wider audience in more ways than one. Currently only available as a two-seater (we don't get the Stradale version, we get the four-seat GranTurismo MC), the addition of back seats will allow twice as many folks inside, and add the car to the purchase lists of those who need to carry more than two souls in their race-derived, 470-horsepower luxury coupes.
Furthermore, the MC Stradale now gets a carbon fiber hood with an air intakes and extractors, 20-inch alloys and new materials inside. It will take the A-lister's spot on the Maserati stand at the Geneva Motor Show, making its world debut alongside the European debut of the new Quattroporte. The press release below can tell you more.
