2006 Maserati Gransport Base Coupe 2-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Mattituck, New York, United States
I am selling my 2006 Maserati GranSport. This car sold new for over $112,000.00. The car is
clad in the most desirable color combination - Metallic Black
with beautiful black trimmed tan leather. The
leather stitched head liner is truly amazing. This car is
equiped with a Cambiocorsa transmission which is
an electrohydraulic
manual six-speed that
uses paddle shifters. This is a blast to drive. It has the highly regarded option of the computer-controlled
suspension-damping system called "Skyhook". This GranSport is
100% original with only 26k adult driven miles. It has no dents or
scratches and looks as new inside as out. The Maserati
GranSport was only produced in 2005 and 2006. it is a modified version
of the Coup?, equipped with aerodynamic body cladding, a chrome mesh grille, carbon fiber interior
trim, special 19-inch wheels, the Skyhook active suspension, Heated and Memory seats, Park Distance Control, Xenon Headlights, a 0.4 inch
(10 mm) lower ride height, and the Cambiocorsa transmission which was recalibrated
for quicker shifts. The exhaust is also specially tuned to "growl" on
start-up at full throttle and it surely does. It is powered with a
v8 engine that develops 395 hp at 7000 rpm. Bid
with confidence as this car is a modern collectable.

This Decepticon-themed Maserati ticketed for imitating a police car
Tue, 19 Aug 2014States have different laws about how closely your car can mimic the look of a police car, which this Massachusetts driver might've wanted to have look into. Even though he's driving a Maserati GranTurismo in homage to the Transformer Barricade and it reads "Decepticons" and "To punish and enslave" on the sides - in two places - and a Twitter hashtag for #Halomafia, the police in Braintree, MA, didn't like it.
Watch out now, Decepticons are patrolling Quincy Shore Drive! #quincytweets #quincyma pic.twitter.com/gXMerDS0FS

Maserati releases quartet of videos featuring new Quattroporte
Tue, 06 Nov 2012In case you missed it, Maserati has decided to introduce the world to its next Quattroporte well ahead of its official debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January. As expected, it's beautiful.
Not content to leave well enough alone, the Italian automaker has revealed a series of videos to go along with the six images and press release it had already let loose upon the globe's unsuspecting automotive press.
We're still a bit shaky on the details, but Maserati says the Quattroporte's new engine, assembled by Ferrari in Maranello, will "[establish] new benchmarks for Maserati in terms of power and acceleration." That sounds good to us, though we're not sure if that means 530 horsepower as possibly alluded to by the license plate on the press shots. We also note that the automaker says the car is designed to accept "a wide range of engine architectures," so that rumored supercharged V6 sounds likely.
Maserati teases MC20 Cielo debut for May 25
Mon, May 16 2022A while back, Maserati's product roadmap penciled in an MC20 Spider to hit the market this year. In December 2021, the Modena automaker teased frontal views of the droptop supercar wearing camouflage full of fluffy clouds. In a series of Instagram posts over the last week, Maserati posted photos from the point of view of someone with an uninterrupted view skyward — the same kind of view one would experience in a convertible, say. One of the captions was, "You will admire the sky in a new way on Wednesday 25 May." That will be the reveal date for what the automaker is now calling the Maserati MC20 Cielo, with that last word being Italian for "sky." This content is hosted by a third party. Since we got no views of the rear of the camouflaged car, we have no idea what design changes we'll see in a little more than a week. Looking closely at the photos of the camouflaged prototype, it's clear there's are temporary panels between behind the B-pillar all the way to the decklid spoiler. An odd feature on the prototype is a trio of ribs running from the A-pillar to the rear of the car, with the middle protrusion looking like a papered-over roof scoop. That seems like a lot of work to hide a form we're already familiar with, and a convertible mechanism we don't expect to hold any surprises, so we'll see what we see on May 25. Maserati's usual Spider formula hasn't traditionally altered a car's underpinnings, so the same carbon fiber monocoque should come bolted to the same 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 making 621 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. The skylight does traditionally jack up the price, so expect to pay more than the coupe's $210,000 MSRP. We figure the model will arrive in showrooms late this year at the earliest, an appearance in the U.S. likely in 2023. After this, we know there's an even more powerful electric version on the way that will be the flagship of the range. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
