First year of the Gentleman's Muscle car 1965 Gran Sport Convertible 1 of 1426 that has never left central CA and have Protecto plates even ! Fremont Z plant black plate car running and driving daily  . Car was bought from original family . 401 ( 445 Wildcat ) was rebuilt said to have around 15 k on it runs very good with no smoking or pings , 300 SP transmission which works as if brand new , Power Steering , Power Brakes ( rebuilt ) , Power Windows ( all work and are fast )  , Power top all new lines , floor shift with console , deluxe moldings , deluxe seat belts front and rear , remote mirror , day and night rear view mirror , Buick Road wheels IE rallies with new tires etc. Car looks real good from 10 feet and going down the road gets tons of thumbs up and high fives when getting gas ( has had one repaint original color is Shell Beige  ) it was stored in garage and they put stuff off and on trunk lid taking chunks of paint off so I touched up a little so doesn't look so bad now , interior is mostly original ( other than drivers seat , carpet , steering wheel and dash pad  ) . I replaced dash pad with great condition original ( One in pics ) which I conditioned before installing , Bought Brand new Robbins Black top / window with new pads and well . cleaned and painted convertible top frame . Glass is all in great condition . Chrome and pot metal has some pitting but all there and nice for driver . 2 1/2 " Flowmaster exhaust so it sounds mean . Rust free and ultra rare Muscle Car that can be driven daily while your restoring or leave as is for beach cruiser / daily driver . I've found and bought a Excellent condition loaded 65 Gran Sport hardtop that's done . Don't really have time or money to build the convertible to level it deserves or IE level I'd want it to be ,  I just want to polish and enjoy hardtop . Also comes with a lot of extra parts Hotchkis front sway bar and rear end pieces , quick ratio steering box , 65 red bird caps , fixable ( with minor cracks ) factory steering wheel with horn bar ( polished Grant with Buick horn button on now ) , factory antenna , sport wagon heavy rear springs , new petronix ign kit , New trunk mats ( have all original trunk pieces and spare rally with original tire ) extra emblems and dash pieces with am/fm radio and speaker etc . I've had three 65 Gran Sport convertibles all came from east coast this is by far the most solid one of them all and wouldn't take much money to be show car it deserves to be . Reserve price is for car without extra parts Buy It Now price includes everything . Feel free to have car inspected or fly in yourself before you pay a dime .

Thanks , Mike 831-726-7270

All of the Bond cars of 'No Time To Die' (caution for spoilers)

Thu, Sep 30 2021

Note: The following overview of the cars in No Time To Die contains spoilers. Read at your own risk, or come back after seeing the film to make sure you caught everything.   No Time To Die picks up right around where Spectre leaves us. James Bond (Daniel Craig) and Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) are driving along in Bond’s restored and iconic DB5 in Matera, Italy. Things donÂ’t stay all that cheery for long in picturesque Matera, though. As is tradition in Bond films, the first car chase hits us with an explosion of action in what's a super-long opening scene. Fourth-gen Maserati Quattroporte: The baddies in the beginning are driving a Maserati and chasing after Bond in the DB5. Specifically, theyÂ’re in a fourth-gen Quattroporte, which feels right for a chase scene in Italy. Its squared-off looks are mean enough, and its Italian growl is a good background soundtrack to the DB5Â’s inline-six. In addition to the Quattroporte, the chase scene in Matera is home to a couple of the best stunts of the entire movie, including the arch jump done with a Triumph motorcycle seen in trailers — Matera is extremely hilly. Eventually, Bond and Swann find themselves in the DB5 again together, which is where the famous gatling gun scene from the trailer commences, but not before the bulletproof windows and body of the DB5 are thoroughly tested. RIP to the first-gen Range Rover Classics and Jaguar XFs that joined the Maserati in pursuit of Bond (here's a list of other Bond cars over the years). As the DB5 escape scene concludes, we catch a glimpse of what appears to be a Ferrari from the 1970s. However, the view was far enough away that weÂ’ll need a second look to be sure of the exact model. Land Rover Series III: Next time we see Bond, heÂ’s fishing in Jamaica and driving around a blue Land Rover Series III. ItÂ’s yet another of the many Land Rover products featured throughout the film, and unlike most of BondÂ’s Aston Martins, this one doesnÂ’t seem to have any unique features. The other intriguing vehicle out of Jamaica? An old Chevrolet Bel-Air expertly and effectively piloted by Bond newcomer, Ana de Armas. Next up, we get a few shots of the new and still-not-for-sale Aston Martin Valhalla mid-engine supercar (also seen in trailers). BondÂ’s old boss M is in the scene which appears to have been shot in some secret wind tunnel of sorts. Much to our dismay, nobody ends up driving the Valhalla in the film. Could it be a teaser for what the next 007Â’s car is?

Marchionne wants Maserati to be FCA's new Ferrari

Fri, Jul 10 2015

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is gearing up to spin Ferrari, its most profitable brand, off into another company, and float its stock on the open market. That means it's going to need another profit-driver to generate income for the rest of the group. And according to its chief executive Sergio Marchionne, that mantle will soon be picked up by Maserati. FCA is betting big on Maserati, which has long stood as a niche marque with a limited array of models and low sales numbers. In addition to the recently introduced Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans – now crucially offered with diesels and all-wheel drive – Maserati is preparing to roll out the Levante crossover that promises to do for the Modenese marque what the Cayenne did for Porsche. Due in part to the success of its first crossover, Porsche turned itself from a niche sports car manufacturer into an immensely profitable automaker that was (nearly) capable of buying out the entire Volkswagen Group. Maserati's resurgence is part of a two-pronged assault FCA is plotting against its German rivals. Maserati will be charged with taking on the higher end of the Mercedes, BMW, and Audi ranges (from the E-Class, 5 Series and A6 upwards). Meanwhile, Alfa Romeo will go after the lower end of the luxury spectrum with the new Giulia (aimed at the C-Class, 3 Series and A4) and other models to follow. FCA aims to turn Maserati and Alfa Romeo (along with Jeep) into global brands, broadening the narrow geographical appeal they have held until now. In order to generate enough profit to support the rest of the group as Ferrari has, Maserati will need to find a way to increase its profit margins. Bloomberg reports that Ferraris command a 13-percent profit margin, and while the ten percent that Maseratis list for is still triple that of the FCA average, slow sales are forcing some dealers to offer deep incentives that cut significantly into that margin. 2014 Maserati Ghibli S Q4 [w/video]

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

For one reason or another, this is a car people stare at. They might be drawn to its curvaceous shape riding on immense wheels. They could be intrigued by its gaping, blacked-out grille which houses an equally outsized trident logo, or doing quick calculations about the last time they saw a car wearing the name Maserati. It may be its sports-car-like proportions mixed with achingly long, four-door bodywork that draws their eye.
Or, and I urge you to consider this theory carefully, the people taking notice of this Maserati Ghibli S Q4 might simply be newly alert after hearing the sound of its exhaust ricocheting off any solid thing nearby as I drive past grinning like a certified asshat. Did you hear an Italianate engine song careening through your Ann Arbor, MI neighborhood, in the black of the early morning, just a few weeks previous? Sorry, guy, that was probably me.
I spent a week hammering this all-wheel-drive Ghibli as hard as I dared in the last truly miserable stretch of the God Awful Winter of 2014. I can honestly say that I enjoyed myself, shocked at both the frank way this new challenger luxury car went down the road as well as the attention it garnered in the process.
