Hey there Maserati buyers here is a serious deal , i am a car dealer in south texas and i am selling this 2004 maserati on ebay because no one here knows what it is ! Those of us who do realize that this is one of the greatest italian hot rods ever! These cars are truly fast , beautiful, sexy, etc and are totally comfortable for a daily driver . I have owned  many italian exotic cars , testarossa, mondials, diablo, etc etc but i honestly enjoy this car more then any of those, maybe i am getting old or maybe smart because this car is  comfortable . the ac is ice cold , the tires are new , the interior is very nice , the motor compartment is clean .These cars will eat a jaguar for breakfast and will out run an aston martin v8 for lunch . This car was over 100 grand new but the used  market is cruel especially to these newer maseratis and i don't know why .this car has the same motor and trans as a ferrari 360, here are the bad points which is the only thing most ebayers are ever interested in , the front bumper cover and maybe the front end has been repainted  but it looks good to me , not perfect . the motor will make a clicking sound from the right valve cover sometimes like a loose valve adjustment , but it performs perfectly. it will only make the noise when i am showing it to a prospective buyer , it goes away as soon as you leave !!! the car only has 55,400 miles on it and it has had a clutch i was told . the transmission works better on this one then any one i have ever driven . the radio knobs are sticky which is a very common problem on these cars . it can be fixed by sticky no more . in short this is a spectacular car that is going to be sold to the highest bidder !!! if you expect a new car this is not it but if you are a rational human being that wants a bargain on a exotic maserati here is your chance . i reserve the right to end the auction early if i get what i consider to be a  a fair offer . if you buy it without coming to see it you own it like it or not . I just had a couple bad experiences on ebay where the  buyers did not pay and i am disgusted with these types .these cars are bringing from 25 to 40 grand depending on miles and condition . any questions call jay at 956 624 2669 thank you . "buy before you die"

1967 Maserati Ghibli puts the grand in grand tourer

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

Motor Tend technical director Frank Markus owns a 1967 Maserati Ghibli, bought back in the early 2000s when "they could be had for Camry money" - now Hagerty values them anywhere from $63,000 to $107,000. The grand tourer designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro outsold the more powerful and less expensive Ferrari 365 Daytona, and the more powerful and more expensive Lamborghini Miura.
Carlos Lago, host of the magazine's Ignition video series, figures it's because of the Ghibli's long-haul comfort and the tractability of its 4.7-liter V8 with 330-horsepower and 330 pound-feet accessed with a five-speed manual, even though he cites the powertrain and suspension as being behind the times.
There's no arguing about the Ghibli's sound, though. You can get several ears-full of it, as well as Lagos' and Markus' thoughts on the car, in the video above.

Watch the Maserati MC20 unveiling

Wed, Sep 9 2020

UPDATE: You can now read all the details and see photos of the MC20 here. Maserati has been teasing its upcoming MC20 mid-engined coupe since spring, and today we finally get to see it in the flesh. Maserati will begin the livestream at 2:35 PM Eastern, and you can watch along with us in the video above. If you need a reminder of what we're looking forward to, we're expecting a two-door performance car with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 mounted amidships providing about 630 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. Notably, that motor comes from Maserati itself, rather than sourcing it from Ferrari. In addition to the original teasers from March and a more recent studio teaser from September 1, we've also seen some spy photos of the MC20 out in the wild. There was also a MC20 tribute to Stirling Moss, as well as a 1940 Targa Florio tribute. Check those out to get up to speed, and watch the live event with us here shortly. 2023 Maserati MC20 Folgore planned with three-motor electric powertrain

Thu, Sep 10 2020

Maserati's first new model of the 2020s, the MC20, strays from the path that's leading carmakers towards electrified and connected vehicles. The brand is nonetheless headed in this direction, and Autoblog can reveal it's planning to release a range of battery-powered cars called Folgore, a name which means "lightning" in Italian. Developed in-house, the 800-volt Folgore powertrain consists of one electric motor mounted over the front axle, and two electric motors installed over the rear axle. Sandro Bernardini, the man responsible for the second-generation GranTurismo, told us this configuration is not going to be reserved for high-performance, high-end cars. It will be the norm. And, although the rear motors are bolted into a single unit that's about the size of a modern four-cylinder engine, there is no mechanical connection between them, meaning Maserati's electric models will benefit from true torque vectoring. Ditching gasoline isn't an excuse to stop chasing performance. As we've previously reported, Maserati's first series-produced battery-powered model will be the next GranTurismo, which is tentatively due out in 2021. Motorists who don't want or need an electric car will be able to order the coupe with a version of the 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 engine that powers the recently-unveiled MC20. Speaking of, the mid-engined coupe will become a mid-motored, zero-emissions coupe a little bit later in its production run. It was developed with both electricity and gasoline in mind from the get-go. Bernardini couldn't share concrete technical specifications, but he noted his team is designing the powertrain to achieve maximum range. Engineers notably went to significant lengths to make the motors smaller, lighter, and more efficient, we're told, and the technology will be compatible with 300-kilowatt fast-charging. While performance details are also under wraps, Autoblog learned the electric version of the MC20 will "absolutely be more powerful" than its 621-horsepower gasoline-burning counterpart. It will be heavier, too, but the power hike will more than make up for the weight gain, and its handling won't be adversely affected. Chassis mock-ups confirm the MC20 Folgore will share its basic underpinnings (including its carbon fiber tub and its subframes) with the gasoline-powered model. Its front motor will occupy the space normally reserved for the frunk, while its rear motor will slot neatly between the two wheels.
