1985 AUDIO GT Coupe.. 5sp.. 5cyl..

This GT is a collectors dream.. Original everything.. The GT purchased in January 1985 overseas and shipped here..
Every single reciept and invoice of everything ever done to this car over the past 37 yrs are in the glove box including original factory Owner's mauals..
The Official Factory Repair Manual and a Haynes Repair Manual Even shipping reciepts..

Car was owned by a collector its entire life.. The elderly gentlemans wife made him clean out the garage.. She asked her nieghbor Tom to sell it for them.. Tom put it in is his name and sold it to me the next week..  I thoroughly inspected the car, put a new battery in it and it cranked right up.. I love this car.. I have had it over a month and it has been a dream to drive.. The car has never been driven hard.. Like I said.. It was a collectors.. Everything is factory.. No racing mods of anykind.. Adult owned

Clutch is great.. Everything shifts smoothly.. All lights and switches work fine.. Cranks up first try..  Brakes are good.. Could stand some new wipers.. Tires have great tread..
Interior in great shape.. Driver seat is the only one with any wear.. Has normal VW lifter noise.. I'll put a youtube video up so you can hear it run.. Was in a fender bender earlier this year.. Only cosmetic.. Still a daily driver.. See pics.. Pass window motor isn't working properly.. Sunroof works and doesn't leak.. Handle is broken a little.. Paint isn't perfect however it isn't bad.. The odometer stopped working shortly after the fender bender on 193k.. I have driven it around1200 miles since..
The GT is a thing of beauty, has been well maintained and loved and should go to someone with the same kinda passion..

The car is in really good shape for its age.. It isn't perfect but, to be an 85, it is very impressive..

We put our bike rack on it today to go for a ride and took pictures with it on there.. I will take it off no problem, it goes on and comes off in seconds.. No screws, no holes..

2014 Maserati Ghibli

Italy Passionately Returns To The Sport Sedan Game
In its 99-year history, Maserati has arguably never made a vehicle as important as this all-new Ghibli.
Of course, there have been countless styling breakthroughs, mechanical advances and technical innovations, but no single passenger car has been required to bear the weight of the Italian company like its brand-new sport sedan. If the Ghibli succeeds, Maserati will welcome tens of thousands of new customers and, most importantly, celebrate a rekindled relationship with demanding North American buyers. If the Ghibli fails - well, the truth is, nobody has written an option for failure.

Fiat/PSA's dominance in small vans hangs up EU's merger approval

Mon, Jun 8 2020

BRUSSELS — EU antitrust regulators are concerned about Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot / PSA's combined high market share in small vans and may require concessions to clear their $50 billion merger, people familiar with the matter said. The companies, which are seeking to create the world's fourth biggest carmaker, were told of the European Commission's concerns last week. If Fiat and PSA fail to dispel the European Commission's doubts in the next two days and subsequently decline to offer concessions by Wednesday, the deadline for doing so, the deal would face a four-month-long investigation. The EU competition enforcer, which has set a June 17 deadline for its preliminary review, declined to comment. Fiat was not immediately available for comment while PSA had no immediate comment. Hiving off overlapping businesses, usually a regulatory demand to ensure more competition, could prove tricky for the carmakers because of the technicalities. Fiat and PSA are looking to merge to help offset slowing demand and shoulder the cost of making cleaner vehicles to meet tougher emissions regulations. The deal puts under one roof the Italian carmaker's brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Maserati and the French company's Peugeot, Opel and DS. Marchionne wants Maserati to be FCA's new Ferrari

Fri, Jul 10 2015

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is gearing up to spin Ferrari, its most profitable brand, off into another company, and float its stock on the open market. That means it's going to need another profit-driver to generate income for the rest of the group. And according to its chief executive Sergio Marchionne, that mantle will soon be picked up by Maserati. FCA is betting big on Maserati, which has long stood as a niche marque with a limited array of models and low sales numbers. In addition to the recently introduced Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans – now crucially offered with diesels and all-wheel drive – Maserati is preparing to roll out the Levante crossover that promises to do for the Modenese marque what the Cayenne did for Porsche. Due in part to the success of its first crossover, Porsche turned itself from a niche sports car manufacturer into an immensely profitable automaker that was (nearly) capable of buying out the entire Volkswagen Group. Maserati's resurgence is part of a two-pronged assault FCA is plotting against its German rivals. Maserati will be charged with taking on the higher end of the Mercedes, BMW, and Audi ranges (from the E-Class, 5 Series and A6 upwards). Meanwhile, Alfa Romeo will go after the lower end of the luxury spectrum with the new Giulia (aimed at the C-Class, 3 Series and A4) and other models to follow. FCA aims to turn Maserati and Alfa Romeo (along with Jeep) into global brands, broadening the narrow geographical appeal they have held until now. In order to generate enough profit to support the rest of the group as Ferrari has, Maserati will need to find a way to increase its profit margins. Bloomberg reports that Ferraris command a 13-percent profit margin, and while the ten percent that Maseratis list for is still triple that of the FCA average, slow sales are forcing some dealers to offer deep incentives that cut significantly into that margin.
