Reluctantly for sale is my 2001 Caterham Lotus Seven. I have owned the car for 5 years, and have put on the majority of the miles with no problems.
The car was built by the Caterham distributor, and is titled in Washington as a 1973 Lotus. The motor is a built 1700cc crossflow Ford with weber carbs, roller rockers, ceramic coated headers, etc. It has been stone reliable, and does not use nor leak oil. In fact, it is barely broken in. Running on Brad Penn semi synthetic oil.
Transmission is a 5 speed, and the car is live axle, with the Long Cockpit frame.
This is my second Caterham, and has been set up as a street/touring car. It has never seen a track. It is stock height suspension, has options like full top (including "7" storage bag) and doors, high brake light, luggage rack, map pockets, heater, Griot's horns, Wink type rear view mirror, and engine compartment insulation. I've driven the car 300+ miles in a day with no discomfort.
New tires (because of age) and battery last year.
Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if reserve has not been met. Car is in Seattle and is available for inspection.
Non refundable deposit of $500 within 48 hours of sale, balance by bank transfer, cash, or other approved method. I reserve the right to not accept bids from bidders with too much negative or zero feedback.

Lotus Evija EV supercar is charging toward series production
Wed, Feb 19 2020It's almost time for Lotus to begin production of real Evijas bound for customers, but first, it must go through its final round of testing. To accomplish this task, Lotus had to prep its brand-new production facility to build the final prototypes. New photos and video give a glimpse of what the Lotus assembly hall looks like. The Evija, which means "the first in existence," is an all-electric supercar that Lotus hopes will be the most powerful production road car ever made. The supercar uses electric motors for four-wheel drive with torque vectoring and has a battery pack rated at 70kWh. Lotus claims it has 1,973 horsepower and 1,254 lb-ft of torque, can go zero to 60 mph in less than three seconds, can do zero to 186 mph in less than nine seconds, and has a top speed of 200 mph. All of that, with a weight of 3,704 pounds. Possibly more impressive are the claimed battery stats. The Evija, which is the first Lotus developed with new majority shareholder Geely, can supposedly fully charge in less than 10 minutes and has a range of 250 miles. With a 350-kW charger, it'll fill up in 18 minutes. Lotus says the Evija has been an extremely collaborative effort, as 20 specialist contractors and 50 experts have been on site for the past six months. They've been hard at work in the new facility, which is located next to the 2.2-mile Hethel circuit in Hethel, in Norfolk, U.K. Check out the new state-of-the-art light tunnel, the vehicle lifts, the gantry crane, and more above and below. Lotus readying Evora crossover?!
Fri, Dec 19 2014If it seems to you like every sports car manufacturer is getting into the crossover game, that's because it's pretty much true. And now, we potentially have one more to add to the list, as Britain's Car magazine reports that Lotus – yes, Lotus – is proceeding with plans to build a crossover. Rather than build a new crossover from the ground up, however, Lotus is said to be developing a high-riding version of the existing Evora. It's tipped to keep its rear-drive configuration (rather than going with a proper all-wheel-drive system), with a raised ride height and more rugged styling. In that respect, it may emerge more like a Local Motors Rally Fighter than a Porsche Cayenne challenger. That may yet emerge as not such a bad thing as it may seem on the surface, but for those purists who'd balk at the notion of an off-road Lotus, the British automaker has other plans in store as well. The crossover would arrive on the heels of a refreshed version of the existing Evora, a potential convertible version of the same, and a hardcore, track-focused successor to the 2-Eleven is also said to be in the works. In the end, Lotus would only be the latest in a long string of established sports car makers to get into the crossover game. Porsche of course led the way with the Cayenne and followed up with the Macan, Maserati is set to follow suit, and last we heard, Lamborghini was still awaiting approval to build the Urus concept.
