2013 Lotus Evora Ips 2+2 Loaded W/low Miles on 2040-cars
Trenton, New Jersey, United States
For sale is a hardly used 2013 Lotus Evora IPS 2+2 in Carbon Gray metallic paint exterior with the Suede Tex Premium Package interior (Alcantara black/gray leather/suede). This vehicle was barely driven with 1,510 gentle miles. It has been garage kept at all times and has never even been driven in the rain. It is currently being kept safely in the garage on a battery tender and looking for a new home. Still under warranty. The 6-speed IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) allows the vehicle to be driven automatically or can be switched to manual by pressing the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. It handles excellently and is just an all around beautiful attention getting car. This car has never been taken on a track....completely babied to date. Although it has the 2+2 option, this car is, unfortunately, no longer practical for us (with another little one on the way). There is nothing wrong with it and it makes me sad to part with it but it needs a new home where the owner will drive it and not keep it locked up in a garage. This Lotus comes with the following upgrades: IPS Technology Package w/Reverse Camera (also has iPhone/iPod hookup to listen to your music) Power Fold Mirrors Suede Tex Premium Package Premium Sports Package Gloss Black Forged 19"/20" Wheels Premium Metallic Paint (Carbon Gray) Star Shield Battery Tendor (Lotus OEM) Heated seats The MSRP for this vehicle new is over $90k as shown! I waited over a half a year for this car to come in from the dealership! Feel free to contact me directly with any questions or for more photos at (732) 690-6020 or by email at jaaron0620@aol.com. Thank you. |

The black and gold Lotus Evora Sport 410 GP Edition is heading to America
Thu, Apr 6 2017Few race teams have such deeply iconic liveries as Team Lotus. From the Gold Leaf cars from the late 1960s to the bright yellow Camel cars that lasted until the early 1990s, arguably none is more iconic than the John Player Special cars that brought world championships to Emerson Fittipaldi and Mario Andretti. Now that same sleek black and gold paint scheme can be had on the new Lotus Evora Sport 410 GP Edition. Even better, it's heading to America. While the GP Edition isn't anything more than a special paint scheme, what a wonderful design it is. The livery is based on the John Player Special Team Lotus cars that competed in Formula One between 1972 and 1986. The black paint is accented with gold stripes along the hood, fenders, doors, and rocker panel. Gold Evora Sport 410 logos adorn the rear while a "Word Champions" emblem flanks the engine cover. The Evora Sport 410 is the lighter, faster version of the thoroughly reworked Evora 400 that we drove last year. Lotus says it's the fastest road car the automaker has ever built. It hits 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and tops out at 190 mph. They US version has been specially curated by Lotus engineers in order to be both light and meet federal crash test standards. Unfortunately, Lotus is only building 150 total each year for worldwide markets. Related Video:
Lotus Elise returning to US in 2020
Mon, Aug 3 2015If you've been hoping to get your hands on a new Lotus Elise, we've got mixed news for you. The good news is that Lotus will bring the Elise back to the US market. The bad news is that it won't happen before 2020. Lotus was forced to withdraw the model (along with the Exige) from the US market in 2011 after it no longer complied with US safety regulations and its temporary exemptions expired. Lotus first launched the Elise in 1996 when the company was still owned by former Bugatti chief Romano Artioli. It rolled out the current Series 2 model in 2001, and brought it to America for the first time in 2004. The larger Evora faced similar issues, and was modified in the form of the new Evora 400 that now meets US regulations. Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales tells Automotive News that doing the same with the Elise would be unfeasible. "We'd need smart airbags, plus side airbags and to change the whole front crash structure. It would add 100kg," or 220 pounds, said Gales. While modifying the current Elise would be prohibitive, the next version is being designed to meet American standards. That won't happen before 2020. In the meantime, Lotus continues to sell a small number of certain variants of the Elise and Exige for use exclusively on tracks. Volkswagen looking to acquire Proton, Lotus?
Thu, 26 Jul 2012Let's say you're an automaker bent on world domination looking to grow your sales. That's going to have you looking at Asian markets, because that's where some of the biggest growth has been, and that's exactly what Volkswagen is doing as it considers making another run at Malaysia's Proton.
Reuters reports that Volkswagen is interested in at least a partial stake, if not a controlling interest in Lotus-parent Proton as a way to continue a production presence in the region without having to build its own factory.
Volkswagen already builds the Passat in a DRB-HICOM facility in Pekan, Malaysia, and plans are in place to build the Jetta and Polo there, as well. With both southeast Asia and its relationship with Proton figuring so importantly in Volkswagen's plans for expansion, buying into Proton can help ensure stability. Volkswagen is being tight-lipped about the whole idea, but CEO Martin Winterkorn did recently say, "it's our clear goal to continue the successful (expansion) course of past years with great dynamics and stability," which sounds an awful lot like deals are on the table to smooth the path to further growth.
