The car:
1990 Lincoln Town Car, top of line Cartier Edition, Bisque Frost Metallic with beige leather and every available option including the rare power sunroof. One non smoking owner with a staggering 49600 original miles and a Clean Carfax. A full 18 feet of the finest luxury, fuel efficient and reliable cars to ever come out of Detroit. This was the last series of Panther platform series Town cars to be built with body on full frame, a ride that would never again be matched by the later unibody cars. Probably the smoothest ride of any car I have ever driven, short of a Rolls Royce. The car has been inspected and thoroughly serviced by our service department and is in perfect mechanical condition. Every button, switch and function of the car is in perfect working order. The AC is cold and the heat is hot. There are zero fluid leaks of any kind. The rear air suspension is perfect and fully functional. The paint shines like new with no fading anywhere. There are no squeaks, rattles, or otherwise unusual noises. The car spent its entire life in Louisville Ky, and there is no rust anywhere on the car. I have personally driven this car over 500 miles and have averaged 17 mpg in town and 25 plus on the highway. No car is perfect, so here are the few small items. The original radio works but not great (crackles and static etc at low volume). I would replace it but I'm sure who ever buys the car would want to choose their own. From the top of the rear window the headliner was loose about 4 inches across the back window. It has been tucked back into place. The rest of the headliner is perfectly fine. There are a few small dings on the hood and trunk. They are impossible to photograph and very hard to see in daylight, unless you are absolutely looking for them. The sides of the car are perfect. No dings, scratches, period. This is possibly the finest, lowest mile car we have ever offered at this price in our 27 years in business. Contact Ed at 859-231-6420 8am to 5pm

Here's what our service department did to make the car sale ready. The battery was replaced, the actuator for the HVAC air directionals was replaced (air was blowing to floor only). The right rear window regulator was replaced. All fluids replaced, coolant, brake fluid, transmission and oil. Brand new tires. The brake pads are 80% or better with zero vibration. The car has not been detailed in any way. It was hand washed and vacuumed and pictures taken.

Who we are:
We, The Auto Gallery, have been a fully licensed dealer and full repair facility in Kentucky for 27 years. I very rarely put cars on Ebay, so I am using my personal account to do so. A dealer friend says I "HAVE" to get cars on Ebay so here goes. We are A+ rated by the BBB and in fact, have never in our history, had to respond to a BBB complaint. Not one, not ever. Please folks, if you have any questions ASK. You might not like what I have to say but it will be the truth.

The fine print:
Car is available locally so auction will be ended if another buyer steps up before auction end.
Payment accepted is cash on delivery or wire transfer.
The starting bid is not the reserve. It is extremely reasonable and less than some others I have seen sold on Ebay.
This is an auction, please do not ask what the reserve is. If you want to make an offer thats fine.
Upon payment, you will receive clean and clear title and a 45 day temporary tag.
We do not charge bogus "documentation fees" like some do.
I do not require a deposit at auction end, however the winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours to arrange pick up and payment. If they do not, I will assume they were yanking my chain and I will cancel the sale.
Vehicle is to be paid for withing 7 days regardless of being able to be physically present.
Longer than 7 days I do not charge storage.
I will assist in any way possible with transport. We are 5 minutes from the airport.

2018 Lincoln Navigator Review | 900 miles in mid-century opulence

Fri, Aug 10 2018

PORTLAND, Ore. — Driving the 2019 Lincoln Navigator on my usual 80-mile evaluation route just wouldn't be sufficient. The quick jaunt through downtown Portland and out into wooded mountain roads couldn't possibly do justice to a vehicle intended for the literal long haul. All those seats; all that cargo space; all that comfort and opulence. What the Navigator needed was a road trip, so I took two of them — within five days, over 900 miles and a grand total of 20 hours and 17 minutes in the 24-way power-adjustable, massaging, ventilated saddle. The first journey would be from Portland down to Bend, Ore., and then working my way gradually back through central Oregon backroads. This included winding two-lane highways where the Navigator's excellent adaptive cruise control system maintained its distance (and my sanity) when stuck behind parades of Outbacks, before the 450-horsepower EcoBoost V6 of Raptor fame could dispatch them from across the dotted yellow line. Enough really can't be said about how masterful this engine is — so smooth, so powerful and so quiet. It's perfect for a Lincoln. It also got 20 mpg over the course of the full 900 miles, which compares to the EPA's 21 mpg highway rating. Pretty good given the mountainous terrain and the liberal throttle applied to keep up with a pair of substantially sportier cars I was trailing as part of a photo shoot. Not that the Navigator was really able to keep up with anything once the road got tighter and twistier through the lava fields of the Willamette National Forest. Though I still concur with my initial praise of the Navigator's independent rear suspension and steering that "provides consistent, appropriate and reassuring weighting," there's no getting around the laws of physics. This is a gigantic land craft pushing three tons that's best kept at a relaxed pace – also perfect for a Lincoln. As for the ride, which disappointed during my Navigator first drive in Southern California, the "omnipresent nervousness" I reported didn't really materialize on better pavement in Oregon and later in Washington. True, it's not quite as supple as a unibody Range Rover or Mercedes GLS would be, but it doesn't suffer from the near constant vibration over even the smallest bumps you get in a Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon XL. On the subject of comfort, though, those 24-way front seats can't be ignored.

Chief designer for Lincoln Aviator SUV is brand's new design director

Fri, Sep 27 2019

The man behind the looks of cars like the 50th anniversary 2015 Ford Mustang, the current-generation Lincoln Continental and the luxury division’s new 2020 Aviator SUV is LincolnÂ’s newest design director. Kemal Curic replaces David Woodhouse, who left earlier this year and is now a vice president overseeing design at Nissan and Infiniti. Curic, 41, was born in Sarajevo and grew up in Germany and Croatia. He began his career with Ford of Europe in 2003 after earning a bachelorÂ’s degree in industrial design and a masterÂ’s in transportation design in Germany. There, he worked on the European version of the Fiesta, the Mondeo (the European version of the Fusion) and the Kuga compact SUV. aviator-4 View 38 Photos In 2010, Curic won a global sketch competition Ford created to pick a designer for the 50th anniversary Mustang. He moved to FordÂ’s headquarters in Dearborn, where he joined the design team for the 2015 Ford Mustang, which won the EyesOn Design award for Best Production Vehicle at the 2014 Detroit auto show. Curic became exterior design manager in 2014 for the reborn Lincoln Continental sedan, then lead the overhaul of the brandÂ’s design language. He became chief designer for the three-row Aviator, which debuted at the 2018 L.A. Auto Show, and he served a lead exterior designer on the all-new 2020 Corsair, LincolnÂ’s compact crossover that was formerly known as the MKC. In an interview earlier this month with Truck Trend, Curic talked about how the midsize Aviator exemplifies LincolnÂ’s new design ethos. “This is the anti-wedge, which is very elegant,” he said. “If you think about cars of the 1960s, they had that exuberant attitude with more anti-wedge than most vehicles today. Think about the angle of attack of an airplane. You have this gliding gesture, sort of leaning back. The anti-wedge, a teardrop shape, is also the most optimized shape for aerodynamics.” Curic has said he was captivated by American cars as a child growing up in Europe, and he told Truck Trend that he grew up doodling cars in his notebooks at school, which sometimes got him in trouble and made his parents worry. HeÂ’ll reportedly split his time between Dearborn and LincolnÂ’s design studio in Irvine, California, where he lives with his family.

Sunday Drive: Big debuts from the Big Apple dominated the headlines

Sun, Apr 1 2018

New York Auto Show week has come and gone, and, not surprisingly, the week's biggest bits of news came from the halls of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC. Our favorite debut from New York was the Lincoln Aviator, a sharp-dresses crossover that looks lovely inside and out, and sits on underpinnings at least partly derived from the Ford Mustang. While the Aviator may have caught our attention, it wasn't the most popular vehicle debut from New York, at least when judging by the number of page views here on Autoblog. That distinction goes to the 2019 Toyota RAV4, and we're hardly surprised. The RAV4 is the most popular compact crossover in America (in fact it's the most popular vehicle that isn't a pickup truck), and the 2019 version looks like a radical departure from the model that came before. We can't wait to drive the thing. Midsize sedans may not be the darling of the family car set, that honor taken over by the aforementioned crossover, but they still sell in large enough numbers that a brand-new model catches our attention. Such is the case with the 2019 Nissan Altima. We broke down the specs of the Altima and compared Nissan's bread-and-butter sedan with its biggest rivals. And finally, we got some official figures for the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. It'll cost a cool $12,000 over the cost of a Mustang GT, and will benefit from a 480-horsepower, 420-pound-foot version of Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8 engine. As always, stay tuned this week for all the latest automotive news that's fit to print. 2018 New York Auto Show Mega Photo Gallery | Start spreading the news 2019 Toyota RAV4 actually looks pretty cool 2019 Nissan Altima vs Honda Accord vs Toyota Camry: How they compare 2019 Mustang Bullitt orders open as Ford reveals price and horsepower Image Credit: Drew Angerer/Getty New York Auto Show Ford Lincoln Nissan Toyota Coupe Crossover SUV Sedan 2018 new york auto show
