2007 Lincoln Town Car Executive Limousine 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
McHenry, Illinois, United States
This vehicle is used daily in Livery service so the mileage will be slightly higher. It has been regularly maintained. The airbag light is on, otherwise everything works as it should including the A/C front and back. The front passenger side vents blow warmer for some reason but we just keep them shut. I could go on with a sugar coated description as others do about how perfect the car is. It is not. It is still very presentable but there are various dents/dings as would be expected in a vehicle with this mileage. It does have some bubbling in the center sections which, once again, should be expected in a vehicle of this age. The worst cosmetic issue is surface rust in the door jambs (see pics). I will answer any questions as best as I can but it is not a new car so please don't expect it to be perfect. It will be sold AS IS with no warranty. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! |

RWD Lincolns are coming, fate depends partly on MKZ success
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The product portfolio at Lincoln may seem a bit sparse at the moment, but if a report is to be believed, new products are on the way. TheDetroitBureau.com spoke with sources at Lincoln and Ford, who claimed the American premium brand is working on, perhaps more than one, rear-wheel-drive vehicle.
Lincoln would likely platform-share with the next-generation Ford Mustang to develop those RWD offerings in the early going. Moving forward, the report indicates that Lincoln could take the lead on other rear-drive projects in the future. As the RWD architecture continues to take shape, "most or all" of the front-wheel-drive portfolio will also be offered with all-wheel drive as an option, ala Audi.
But wait, there's more! The report also suggests that a replacement for the full-size MKS is on the way, as well as a new Navigator and a luxury crossover based on the current Ford Escape.

Autoblog Podcast #327:
Conan O'Brien takes McConaughey's Lincoln ad to its logical conclusion
Thu, 11 Sep 2014We all had to see this coming. Conan O'Brien has released a parody of Matthew McConaughey's new ads for the 2015 Lincoln MKC and remixed them with lines from one of his most critically acclaimed recent roles.
The now much darker commercial probably isn't how Lincoln would prefer the MKC to be marketed, but really in a few of the actual ads, McConaughey already seems moments away from breaking into a full Rustin Cohle from True Detective impression. The cadence and tone of his voice are just so close to that character, especially in the one where he's talking to the bull standing in the middle of the road. It very nearly verges on parody anyway; Conan is just turning all of this up to 11.
It's a little surprising that the writers didn't dig a little deeper into the McConaughey oeuvre for the parody. Maybe McConaughey could have taken the MKC for a party at the Moon Tower from Dazed and Confused. In any case, it's worth a quick watch, so check it out.
