One of the cleanest Lincolns around!!! Yes You Found It!!!! **65K ORIGINAL MILES** Up for auction is the last year of the big Town car... And if your into these cars like me this is the body style that we love... These cars reputations speak volumes for them... These cars can and will go 400K miles like nothing,,, V8 yes, car will get you 26mpg on the hwy and around town just under 20mpg,, she actually gets 19.7 MPG around town.... This is a super rare color combo, especially with the white leather!!! The exterior of this car is absolutely stunning... the paint is like GLASS!!! no sun damage at all... The chrome is all pristine.. even the chrome around the headlights and bumpers are in excellent shape, no cracking no peeling... Its such a rich color only one I have ever seen in this color is the Jack Nicklaus edition Town car... This car is loaded loaded... only option it doesn't have is heated seats... Both power seats work just like the should, all POWER WINDOWS WORK 100% PERFECT!!! Sunroof does work however I believe the switch needs to be replaced. It is closed and of course does not leak at all!! Memory seats, JBL sound system with factory 10 disc changer mounted in the trunk... Also in the trunk is a MATCHING CHROME WHEEL with a Michelin tire that still looks new!! And speaking of trunk, YES the trunk pull down works perfectly!! The interior is amazing... not just because the car has 65k miles, just everything is in excellent condition... Even the wood trim on the door panels where the seat and window controls are, they look new, nice and shiny, no peeling no drying,, I buy a lot of these cars and you just don't find them as clean as this one on the inside... The white leather looks like milk its so clean!! the leather is soft and supple to touch and show very light wear if any... This car is a non smoker so it doesn't have any foul odors from cigarettes or cigars... Still smells new!! Car also has new brakes that were installed, oil was changed about 2000 miles ago and its still nice and clean... Has 4 matching Michelin tires and they are in great shape as well, they have about 80% tread left on them. As you can see in the pics the limited edition 16 inch chrome Lincoln wheels are in great shape as well and like I stated the matching 5th wheel is in the trunk... Car rides like a dream since its still on air suspension.. The air suspension works perfectly, no check suspension lights, no sagging or leaks, works just like it should... Car has no leaks of any fluids whatsoever!! No check engine lights!! NO stories!!! Look at my feedback I predominantly sell these cars, This is the nicest one I have had the pleasure to offer for sale... This color combo was only available on the signature and Jack Nicklaus model, THATS IT!!!! ****65K ORIGINAL MILES ITS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANOTHER ONE, THIS CLEAN WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE!!! Lincoln to resurrect old nameplates for China?
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Judging by the success that many luxury automakers are currently experiencing in China, it's no surprise that Lincoln plans to take advantage of the situation by peddling its wares across the Pacific. Lincoln will open its first Chinese dealership next year, but potential buyers there won't be mucking through the same alphabet soup of car names found in American showrooms. USA Today reports that Ford's luxury car division could revert back to legacy names (like Continental and Zephyr) in China while keeping the MK_ names here in North America.
In speaking to Ford exec Jim Farley during the LA Auto Show, USA Today says that Lincoln could switch its naming structure as models are refreshed. Farley didn't confirm that the naming revamp would be a China-only decision, but article leaves little hope that American buyers will get to see the return of classic names anytime soon.
Why would Ford rehash old Lincoln names for China only? Buyers there seem to have a better historical associations with the nameplates than in the US. Chinese also still hold Lincoln in high regard, associating the marque with use by prominent government officials.
Did Neil Young just spill the beans on a 2016 Lincoln Continental? [w/video]
Thu, Dec 18 2014Neil Young may be better known as a singer-songwriter and rock n' roll icon than he is for his involvement with cars, but the Canadian-born musician is not without his automotive credentials. His latest book, after all, is titled "Special Deluxe: A Memoir of Life & Cars," and one of his most famous songs, "Long May You Run," was written about his old station wagon. But does that mean he's got an inside line on new cars coming out? In an appearance on CNBC's Mad Money with Matt Cramer this week, the Y in CSNY was plugging Pono, a portable music player and service he developed. During the segment, which you can watch in the video clip below, Young mentioned that his company was working on a new in-car audio integration with Harman, which as we know just signed a deal with Lincoln. Here's where it gets interesting: The Godfather of Grunge mentioned that Pono and Harman were preparing to put the system in the 2016 Lincoln Continental. The thing is, Lincoln hasn't made a Continental for a dozen years now. Does Neil know something we don't, or did he simply misspeak? He is, after all, working on an electric-converted '59 Continental he calls the LincVolt, so it wouldn't be hard to imagine he got mixed up. But maybe, just maybe, it was the first bit of leaked info that Ford's luxury division is planning on shifting away from its MK-based naming scheme and reviving at least one iconic nameplate. Lincoln Continental prototype breaks down, requires a tow
Wed, Dec 2 2015Sometimes, cars break. Sometimes, said cars happen to be prototypes covered in camouflage. And sometimes, spy photographers are on hand to capture the sad sight. Such is the case here, as our trusty long-lenses have captured images of a stricken Lincoln Continental getting a tow back the shop. It's not clear what happened with the wounded Continental, but its unfortunate breakdown has given us a great look at the car's sprawling glass roof. Like the current MKZ, it looks like the Conti's panoramic roof can slide back, although we doubt it will cover up any element of the rear window, like its smaller sibling. And unlike our previous round of spy photos, this latest gallery gives us a look at a rather substantial set of integrated exhaust tips (i.e. fakes that have been fitted directly to the rear bumper cover). We can also spy a bit of the interior, although it's nowhere near as good as our last round of images. These shots do, however, show off a full roll cage and a fire extinguisher, but we wouldn't count on those being offered with the production model. Their presence here, though, leads us to believe that the car in question is probably some kind of vehicle dynamics tester. Look for a full introduction of the all-new Continental next month, when it debuts at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Related Video:
