1996 Lincoln Town Car Executive Limo

My business is the second owner of this Lincoln Town Car Executive Limo.  The first owner was the now defunct Bear Stearns, used exclusively by its CEO.

Original Limo Conversion done by LCW in Texas

My company put very few miles on it;  Current miles is 113K, give or take a few for test drives as it's still registered.  It was only used to pick up VIP company guests on their visits to the state.

Currently we are in the market to upgrade our company limo; it's our only reason for selling.

We've put lots of work into the mechanics: Full Tune Up (spark plugs, wires, oil change with only synthetic oil, oil filter), All Brake Lines, New Battery (under warranty with Costco), ABS Sensor, Rear Air Suspension sensors.  Rear suspension air bags are newer.

All of this was done by professional mechanics, and we will be passing along the paper work.

Top in good shape.  Rear interior is good, with DVD, rear AC controls.

Driver compartment carpet is stained and seat is worn.  It's not as nice as the back but it's still functional.

Heat and AC work as they should in both the front and the back.

Wipers, horn, turn signals, all warning lights functioning properly.

Trunk opens from driver compartment or with key.  Exterior front door feature code unlock feature from factory.  There is a compartment in the rear with a bin for ice and drinks.  There is no bar.

Dents on trunk exterior (see pictures) do not affect its functionality.  Power trunk works as it should.

Some scratches to exterior paint, see pictures. Chrome trim under doors is coming off.  This is cosmetic and can be reglued, or replaced.

Ebay only lets us put 4 pictures for free.  For more pictures, contact me.

We welcome test drives and inspections prior to bidding.  Bring your mechanic for inspections prior to bidding.  Once you win, the car is yours.

Winning bidder must make $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction close and it's non-refundable. Balance to be paid by pickup.  Pickup required within 7 days of auction close.  If more time is needed we have to know ahead of time and full payment needs to be made within 7 days.  I will hold it up to thirty days if paid in full.  If needed to be held here for more than thirty days, storage is $20.00 per day.

As with any 17 year old car please expect use.  The car is sold as is, no warranties express or implied.

Huge JFK auction includes two classic Lincolns

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Want to own a piece of American history? Perhaps you should consider 35th President John F. Kennedy's limousine, a stretched 1960 Lincoln Continental, or the last car he safely rode in before his assassination, a 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible. Both of them will be up for sale at the Camelot: Fifty Years after Dallas auction on October 24, a JFK 50th anniversary auction in Boston.
The black 1960 Continental was part of the presidential motorcade and is bulletproof. The body has been restored to the tune of about $35,000, according to RR Auctions, but the interior was left alone. That's okay, because the winning bidder will be able to enjoy lounging in the well-preserved seats and stepping on the original tan carpeting, just as President Kennedy did. The next owner can even play President, with a divider window, passenger air controls and a two-way telephone - if a chauffeur is hired, of course. The starting bid for the Continental is $25,000.
The other car is more historically relevant (but in this writer's eye, less beautiful), and commands a starting bid of $50,000. The white, convertible 1963 Continental was the last car President Kennedy rode in before his assassination in Dallas - with a notarized document by the car's owner at the time as proof. It was used to transport the President, his wife, Jacqeuline, and Texas governor John Connally "from a breakfast and speech at the Texas Hotel ballroom through the streets of Fort Worth to Carswell Air Force Base, where they boarded a short flight to Dallas on the morning of November 22, 1963," according to RR Auctions. Lincoln specialist Baker Restoration in Connecticut restored the car, which included an engine replacement, body work and paint. Most of the interior, including the seats, are in original condition.

Did Neil Young just spill the beans on a 2016 Lincoln Continental? [w/video]

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Neil Young may be better known as a singer-songwriter and rock n' roll icon than he is for his involvement with cars, but the Canadian-born musician is not without his automotive credentials. His latest book, after all, is titled "Special Deluxe: A Memoir of Life & Cars," and one of his most famous songs, "Long May You Run," was written about his old station wagon. But does that mean he's got an inside line on new cars coming out? In an appearance on CNBC's Mad Money with Matt Cramer this week, the Y in CSNY was plugging Pono, a portable music player and service he developed. During the segment, which you can watch in the video clip below, Young mentioned that his company was working on a new in-car audio integration with Harman, which as we know just signed a deal with Lincoln. Here's where it gets interesting: The Godfather of Grunge mentioned that Pono and Harman were preparing to put the system in the 2016 Lincoln Continental. The thing is, Lincoln hasn't made a Continental for a dozen years now. Does Neil know something we don't, or did he simply misspeak? He is, after all, working on an electric-converted '59 Continental he calls the LincVolt, so it wouldn't be hard to imagine he got mixed up. But maybe, just maybe, it was the first bit of leaked info that Ford's luxury division is planning on shifting away from its MK-based naming scheme and reviving at least one iconic nameplate. Lincoln video teases new things to come... but what?

Sun, 02 Dec 2012

Lincoln has released a new video teasing... something. In what looks to be an advertisement for more advertising, the company has worked up a clip featuring everything from a drum solo and a flying hawk to Abraham Lincoln himself. The video shows a few shots of what looks to be an MKZ and promises more news is coming on Monday.
What does the company have up its sleeves? Rumors are bouncing around the web like so many ill-informed ping-pong balls, and cover everything from an alternative powertrain for the MKZ to a new two-door model - noise that is underscored by the presence of a Ford Mustang chassis lurking in the background of the video around the 27-second mark (see screen capture above).
Could Lincoln be considering a rear-wheel drive luxury coupe built on the pony's bones? A move like that seems awfully unlikely, but it certainly wouldn't hurt our feelings. Either way, we'll find out more tomorrow. In the interim, check out the teaser video below for yourself.
