Hackensack, New Jersey, United States
IF YOU COLLECT CARS OR HAVE ALWAYS LOVED LINCOLNS, COME DOWN AND TAKE A LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY. I PURCHASED THIS CAR BACK IN 2005, MY DAD HAD AN 86 AND I ALWAYS ENJOYED RIDDING WITH HIM. WHEN I SAW THE CONDITION I WENT FOR IT. I PUT THE AIR-RIDE SUSPENSION AND WHEELS TO GIVE MORE OF A YOUNG MANS LOOK. IT HAS NO CRACKS ON THE INTERIOR OR DOOR PANEL AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES. I WOULD LOVE TO KEEP IT BUT HAVE ANOTHER BOY ON THE WAY AND NEED THE GARAGE SPACE. I WOULD REALLY LOVE FOR SOMEONE TO KEEP IT AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT AS I HAVE. THE EXTERIOR HAS A FEW SMALL SCRACHES BUT NOTHING TOO BIG THAT MAY NEED PAINT. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A LOOK IN PERSON OR HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CONTACT ME AT 917-531-8919 OR EMAIL ME. THANKS AND HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!!!

Ford tumbles to second worst in Consumer Reports reliability survey, list dominated by Japanese [w/video]
Mon, 29 Oct 2012It's no secret that MyFord Touch has had its share of problems since being introduced, but the most recent reliability survey from Consumer Reports shows just how much this infotainment system has affected Ford. Just two years ago, the automaker was in the top 10 for the institute's reliability rankings, but since then, it has tumbled to the second-lowest rung just above dead-last Jaguar. In addition to MyFord Touch, CR also attributes a handful of new products that have had issues right out of the gate.
Compiled from 1.2 million subscriber surveys, this year's auto reliability survey heavily favors Japanese automakers, with eight of the 10 spots hailing from Japan. Toyota brands grabbed the top three spots (Scion, Toyota and Lexus - in that order) with Mazda, Subaru, Honda and Acura filling the next four spots. The only non-Asian automaker cracking the top 10 was Audi at number eight.
Audi climbed a total of 18 spots from last year, and Cadillac and GMC round out this year's top gainers breaking into the top 15. Helping Cadillac's upward movement, the CTS Coupe was named the most reliable domestic car. Lincoln, Volvo and Chrysler join Ford on this year's biggest loser list.
Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy
Tue, 07 May 2013With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.
