1999 8 Passenger 100" Lincoln Town Car BUILT BY ROYAL . The vehicle is in nice condition for its age . Was repainted two years ago and had a full gut out to metal Interior redo two  years ago as well. The interior shows very nice! Also has a 15" monitor as well as a Pioneer radio with Usb, Aux Connections  all electrical in rear works as it should . The vehicle may have high mileage but it also hosts a newer engine which had its valve seals changed to ensure no smoking as these cars had problems with older valve seals, and a rebuilt transmission . I have changed a lot of parts which some are recently  new others fairly newer. In April this year alone i  changed these following parts  , fuel pump and fuel lines as well as filter , entire front suspension from lower ball joints with complete control arm with bushings  , upper ball joints with complete control arm with bushings , Pitman arm, idler arm, inner and outer tie rods, tie rod sleeves, front & rear  shocks sway bar links, steering gear box as well as inner and outer  steering shafts, front springs and isolators ( This is $2500 dollars alone in parts not to mention the labor just this April! I also did the rear spring conversion to omit the air ride for reliability. Also 8 new ignition coils and motor-craft plugs, rear differential fluids ,serpentine belt ,Front Brakes and rotors , rear brakes and drums where done last year ,Catalytic converters and 4 oxygen sensors , as well as 4 new tires and an alignment. The top was replaced 2 1/2 years ago could use a little cleaning being its white but it is in great shape.  I am an ASE Certified Mechanic and have  been in business for over 13 years and  take very good care of all my cars. You are more then welcome to come take her for a drive and see for yourself how well it drives smooth straight and strong. There is very little rust on body however this is an older vehicle so it is not perfect by all means nor do i claim it to be . For the money it is a very strong runner and has a lot of life left . Feel free to make me an offer . Please let me know if you have nay questions .

Ford recalling 850,000 cars and SUVs for airbag issues

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

Ford has announced a major recall of 850,000 vehicles from model years 2013 and 2014 due to a problem with the "restraints control module."
According to Ford, a short circuit could develop in the module, causing the airbag warning light to illuminate. In more severe cases, dependent on where the short develops, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners may not work in the event of an accident. The problems can be more wide-ranging than that, too, as systems that rely on information from the control module, such as the stability control can be affected.
With 850,000 vehicles affected, it's no surprise that some of Ford's volume leaders are covered. That includes the Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans, as well as the incredibly recall-prone Escape and the C-Max MPV.

Lincoln MKC crossover adopts the Continental's grille

Thu, Jun 15 2017

The last vestiges of the controversial split Lincoln grille are slowly being removed as the company revamps its lineup. It started with the MKZ and Continental, with the most recent rhinoplasty recipient being the Navigator. Now, based on spy shots, it looks like the MKC crossover will be the fourth to get the new corporate grille. Under the heavy vinyl coverings, we can clearly see the proud Continental-inspired grille. We can also see that it will feature the same chrome mesh with Lincoln badge-shaped openings found on other cars with the grille design. We can also assume that the headlights will receive a substantial refresh, but the lower bumper doesn't look particularly different. The rest of this prototype MKC looks the same as the existing model. The back is covered, which indicates that the taillights may be updated. We wouldn't expect a radically different look, since the MKC already has a full-width taillight treatment. We also noticed that the wheels appear to be inspired by the cool turbine wheels of the Navigator. Whatever the other changes are, we'll probably see them soon. This is clearly just a refresh, and so there's a good chance we'll see the production model revealed by the end of the year, or early next year at the latest. Related Video:

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

Tue, 25 Sep 2012

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.
