Low mileage 2000 Lincoln Navigator up for auction with NO RESERVE.    Exterior in very good shape , no dents or rust, some minor scrathes.  has keypad entry , keyless entry remote.  tow package. paint in good condition no peeling.  kept in a garage.  all 4 tires in excellent condition has full size spare.  AWD  all fluids changed at 113,000 miles.  Transmission rebuilt at 113,000 miles with a heavy duty tow kit and heavy duty torque converter.

Interior has front bucket leather, powered, climate controlled seats,  power mirrors, good working air conditioning with front and rear controls. has cruise controls and radio and air controls on steering wheel.  has powered moonroof.  Middle row seating is bench seating, third row seating is bench seating.  vehicle can comfortably seat eight passengers.   I would rate interior as very good for it's age but not perfect some wear in the front seats including a 2 inch tear in the drivers seat.  will try to post some add'l interior photos.

Mechanically.  vehicle runs excellent,  I used it primarialy to tow my 3800 lb boat and take on long road trips.  It is smooth and very comfortable.  I sold my boat last week so I don't really have a use for this vehicle.

Gas .... it drinks a lot of it.  let's be honest this is not a commuter vehicle it has a purpose , pull your boat or camper in comfort and can hold a lot of people and gear.  On the highway I only average about 16 mpg and 13 city.  has a huge gas tank I believe 30 gallons so you don't live at the gas stations on the long hauls.

There are some minor things that could use some attention.  They have all been issues since I have own this and I never bothered fixing any of them but here they are

The vehicle has some sort of backup assistance sensors that are suppose to beep if you are about to back into something... these don't work.

One of the passenger doors do not always unlock when you use the power lock to unlock all doors , sometimes if you do it twice it will sometimes you have to unlock it manually.

The odometer is digital and the computer records all mileage accurately but from time to time the LED lighting on the odometer goes out.  it comes back on but it is intermittent.  this seems to be an issue with navigators and expeditions around this year and some say it has to do with a piece of solder holding the wiring.  Can be fixed by using a cold solder pen but I couldn't be bothered taking the dash apart for it.

In the back seat there is a cup holder that can be folded up so it's out of the way.  it will close about 90% but it won't click lock.

Besides these things it is in very good shape.  I Love this vehicle it is nice to drive, dependable, and looks really good.  It looks like a high end vehicle that you can be proud of.  I would not expect someone to have to drop any money or maintenance into this for quite a while.  With that said it is a private sale being sold as is without warranty.

I have title in hand.

Vehicle can be seen  in Cape Coral, Fl  deposit can be made via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end, balance to be paid in cash within 7 days.  mileage is subject to change due to my parents use it as a 2nd vehicle and if it is test driven I'm not going to update this listing every time a mile is added to it. any questions feel free to email me before bidding.

Ford recalls over 953,000 vehicles to replace Takata airbag inflators

Fri, Jan 4 2019

DETROIT — Ford is recalling more than 953,000 vehicles worldwide to replace Takata passenger airbag inflators that can explode and hurl shrapnel. The move includes over 782,000 vehicles in the U.S. and is part of the largest series of recalls in U.S. history. Included are the 2010 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX, the 2010 and 2011 Ford Ranger, the 2010 to 2012 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ, the 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan, and the 2010 to 2014 Ford Mustang. Some of the recalls may be limited to specific geographic areas of the U.S. Takata used the chemical ammonium nitrate to create an explosion to inflate airbags. But it can deteriorate over time due to heat and humidity and explode with too much force, blowing apart a metal canister designed to contain the explosion. At least 23 people have been killed worldwide and hundreds injured by the inflators. Ford says it doesn't know of any injuries in vehicles included in this recall. Dealers will replace the inflators. Ford will notify owners about the recall starting on Feb. 18, and the company has replacement parts available for dealers to order, said spokeswoman Monique Brentley. In previous Takata recalls, parts availability had been an issue. Owners can go to this Ford website and key in their vehicle identification number to see if their cars and SUVs are being recalled. The same information will be available soon at the NHTSA recall website. More than three years after the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration took over management of recalls involving Takata inflators, one third of the recalled inflators still have not been replaced, according to an annual report from the government and a court-appointed monitor. The report says 16.7 million faulty inflators out of 50 million under recall have yet to be replaced. And 10 million more inflators are scheduled to be recalled this month, including the Ford vehicles. Safety advocates said the completion rate should be far higher given the danger associated with the inflators. The recalls forced Takata of Japan to seek bankruptcy protection and sell most of its assets to pay for the fixes. The inflators grow more dangerous as they get older because ammonium nitrate deteriorates due to high humidity and cycles from hot temperatures to cold. The most dangerous inflators are in areas of the South along the Gulf of Mexico that have high humidity. Related Video:

Is Lincoln working on a Continental concept?

Wed, Mar 25 2015

The Lincoln Continental wasn't included in our post on the list of trademarks we'd like to see turned into production vehicles – the only Lincoln mention was our idea of transferring its Aviator name to a special edition Ford Mustang. But, like you, the idea of a resurrected Continental is always with us, especially when we read articles about the brand's efforts to redefine American luxury. Ford applied for the Continental trademark in 1953 and renewed in 2005, and it appears they might have something to show for it soon. A web snooper found a development site at the Lincoln domain that introduces us to the "elegantly styled and boldly distinctive Lincoln Continental Concept." There are no images, but we've combined all the text into a single image, above, and the hints we get in three blurb texts inform us that "It represents who we are as a carmaker," that it's an "envisioning of what's to come," that "No question went unanswered" and "No answer went unchallenged," and that it "is everything we know about cars, and everything we understand about people." We also found the tagline "Follow us forward," which doesn't appear on any published Lincoln site page at the moment, and the public is invited to get involved (eventually) by tweeting Continental stories and photos. Could this be the next step in the turgid drama Lincoln Rising? We look forward to finding out. Related Video:

MKC Concept is the real fresh start for Lincoln [w/poll]

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

We were admittedly bullish about the Lincoln MKC Concept when we introduced it to you yesterday, as we were taken aback by how cohesive the C-platform crossover is in the metal. As it turns out, so were you, dear reader. With hundreds of comments booked on our original Deep Dive story, the overwhelming temperature of the Autoblog Commenteriat is one of surprise and delight - quite an accomplishment for a marque that many had written off for dead. The reception here under the bright lights of the Detroit Auto Show appears to be no less positive, but we thought you might want a second, closer look afforded by these live photos.
Lincoln remains mum on production MKC drivetrain specifics (we're thinking it will start with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder out of its similarly sized Ford Escape relative, or maybe the midlevel 1.6-liter), but we shouldn't have to wait too long. The showcar is expected to closely mirror the production model (due as early as later this year), so much so that Ford global marketing boss Jim Farley explicitly told the press conference masses, "When you see the MKC, do not think concept." That's good news, as the MKC is pivotal to Lincoln's effort to rebuild awareness and consideration on the back of its MKZ sedan, a model just now going on sale. In fact, with the small crossover segment exploding, the MKC could very well turn out to be more important to the brand than the MKZ.
After seeing these new photos, are you more or less enamored with Lincoln's new concept? Leave a comment after voting in our poll below.
