PHOTO 2:  Luxury!  Note the pristine condition of the driver's seat charcoal leather and the gleaming gloss of the REAL walnut trim adorning the doors & dash!  OEM mats have NEVER been used since we've always had overlays on them AND the cars' interior carpet.  We've been fanatical in our upkeep and it shows.

PHOTO 3:  Command Center for the driver & front passenger!  Everything is intuitively within reach!  OEM Lincoln Nav/GPS/Satellite radio along with electronic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats with redundant controls for many functions on the steering wheel too!

PHOTO 4:  Passenger side view showing the MKXs sensible size and very modern profile with minimal overhang

PHOTO 5:  Could it be ANY cleaner?  Lovely charcoal leather passenger seat within easy reach of nearly every control on the center stack.  Also note the stitched, soft touch materials on the dash, doors and console.  Like-new black carpet throughout and new black fitted carpeted mats.

PHOTO 7:  From the front - bold Lincoln waterfall grille proudly carries on the Lincoln design language as do the fog lamps

PHOTO 8:  Interior view of the HUGE electric Panoramic Glass Sunroof with Power Sunshade in the open position

PHOTO 9:  Close-Up view of the driver's side from bumper/grille etc.

PHOTO 10:  View from driver's seat to passenger.  Again, note the high-level of craftsmanship with soft touch materials and genuine stitching on nearly every surface within reach

PHOTO 11:  Nearly full-open view!  Easy access for people, cargo etc...

PHOTO 12:  Driver's side front 3/4 view - NO dent's or scratches, just beautiful in every way!

PHOTO 45:  Passenger's side as clean as the other!

PHOTO 46:  Overhead, exterior view of the glass panorama roof

PHOTO 47:  The ONLY flaw we could find worth noting!  On the passenger's side in front of the front-tire you'll see a light scuff as shown above. This flaw is about 6 inches in height and very, very light on a plastic panel.  It shows very well in this photo but is much less noticeable in person as it is fairly low on the car's bodywork

PHOTO 48:  Matched Michelin OEM tires in great shape!

PHOTO 49:  Driver's side front tire relative to a US Quarter - all tires have about the same and even wear

Is Lincoln working on a Continental concept?

Wed, Mar 25 2015

The Lincoln Continental wasn't included in our post on the list of trademarks we'd like to see turned into production vehicles – the only Lincoln mention was our idea of transferring its Aviator name to a special edition Ford Mustang. But, like you, the idea of a resurrected Continental is always with us, especially when we read articles about the brand's efforts to redefine American luxury. Ford applied for the Continental trademark in 1953 and renewed in 2005, and it appears they might have something to show for it soon. A web snooper found a development site at the Lincoln domain that introduces us to the "elegantly styled and boldly distinctive Lincoln Continental Concept." There are no images, but we've combined all the text into a single image, above, and the hints we get in three blurb texts inform us that "It represents who we are as a carmaker," that it's an "envisioning of what's to come," that "No question went unanswered" and "No answer went unchallenged," and that it "is everything we know about cars, and everything we understand about people." We also found the tagline "Follow us forward," which doesn't appear on any published Lincoln site page at the moment, and the public is invited to get involved (eventually) by tweeting Continental stories and photos. Could this be the next step in the turgid drama Lincoln Rising? We look forward to finding out. Related Video:

Amazon can now deliver packages to some Ford and Lincoln vehicles

Tue, Apr 30 2019

Nothing succeeds without complications popping up along the way. Sure, Amazon's Prime delivery services have made shopping more convenient than brushing your teeth, but leaving millions of packages on doorsteps comes with an inherent danger: Thieves might swipe them without anybody knowing. Amazon's solution is called Amazon Key, which allows delivery men and women to enter a customer's house or car to drop off a package. This week, Ford and Lincoln announced they would be partnering with Amazon to integrate the service into some of their vehicles. Ford is following in the footsteps of Volvo and General Motors, as both companies announced their participation about a year ago. That includes Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC. Key will be made available for 2017-and-newer Fords equipped with FordPass Connect, and 2018-and-later Lincolns with Lincoln Connect. Key is not available everywhere, but it can be used in dozens of city throughout the U.S., and the network is expanding. To look for compatibility for your car and city, check on Amazon's dedicated Key website. Like every other tech invention these days, Key requires a smart device application, which requires a one-time setup. The service is available on the Key app or the FordPass and Lincoln Way apps. While ordering on Amazon, customers will then select in-car delivery during checkout. Input a public delivery address, and park the car within two blocks of that address. While the order is in transit, Amazon will provide status updates, another feature that takes away some of the anxiety of waiting for a package to be delivered. The package will be put into the car within a four-hour window, and users will get notifications that the exchange is complete, and the car is again securely locked. Should customers change their minds, they can always cancel the delivery method, and the car will remain locked. In that case, the delivery could go to the building where the car is parked, or be rescheduled. Ford imagines this as the beginning of numerous car-based services in the near future that can be scheduled while the owner is not there, such as car washes.

2020 Lincoln Corsair vs 2020 Cadillac XT4 | How they compare on paper

Thu, Apr 18 2019

The 2020 Lincoln Corsair compact crossover was introduced this year to replace the aging MKC. Our first impressions are that it's a thoroughly competent luxury machine, but where it fits in the market is interesting. Given its size and price tag, the Corsair basically slots in-between compact segments, with vehicles like the Audi Q3 below and Audi Q5 above. It's a distinctive position to be in, but not a unique one, as there's another comparably sized and priced SUV -- and an American rival, no less. The Cadillac XT4 was launched just last year to be its company's smallest crossover, boasting compelling design and ample technology features.  So which is better? To give you some idea, let's take a look at each vehicle's horsepower, torque, fuel economy, space, pricing and some slightly more subjective aspects about their luxuriousness and feature sets. You'll find all the nitty gritty numbers below, followed by more detailed analysis. And if you'd like to compare other luxury crossovers, be sure to check out our comparison tool. Engines, drivetrains and driving impressions Both the Corsair and XT4 come standard with turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines, but the Corsair's is more potent with 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet compared with the 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of the Cadillac. And to seal the deal, the Corsair has an optional turbo 2.3-liter engine with 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. That's not only vastly better than the Cadillac, but one of the most powerful outputs in the compact luxury SUV segment. Both vehicles have standard front-wheel drive with optional all-wheel drive on the base engines. The 2.3-liter Corsair has all-wheel drive standard. The Cadillac does boast an extra cog in its transmission over the Corsair's eight-speed automatic, but there's not necessarily an advantage or disadvantage to be gleaned from that. When it coes to fuel economy, the Cadillac is victorious with a 26 mpg combined rating for the front-drive model, with the front-drive 2.0-liter Corsair coming just behind with 25 mpg combined. It's a three-way tie for third with the all-wheel-drive XT4, all-wheel-drive 2.0-liter Corsair and 2.3-liter Corsair all returning 24 mpg combined. Of course, the all-wheel-drive Corsairs have a small advantage here in that it delivers more power and torque than the Cadillac with the same fuel economy.
