This is a 98 Mark VIII LSC black/black car has 96XXX miles on it, runs like a top has good inspection until 2014 THIS IS NOT A SANDY FLOOD CAR this car was bought by me in 2008 and was meticulously looked over by myself (an automotive tech) and one other automotive tech to make sure there was nothing wrong with this car and there absolutely was and is nothing wrong with it, there is no rust or any signs of this car having been submerged in water, what i believe happened is that the previous owner got water into the engine because the motor is not the original, it was replaced by the dealer i purchased the car from and has 1000 less miles than the odometer reads. I have put the past 46 thousand miles on this car and can tell you it rides like a dream and goes like hell it has a lot of power.
upgrades include
SCT Tune
Custom Exhaust
Under drive Pulleys
Cobra Intake Manifold
4.10 Gears with trac lock (installed less than 5000 miles ago with new axles)
Jmod
24000 GVW trans cooler
1 Piece Drive Shaft
Also has Pioneer AVH-P1400 DVD head unit and aftermarket low beam HID 9006 bulbs installed so no worries finding the factory replacements
Only defects on the car are on the exterior one being a small dent on the drivers side rear quarter panel about the size of a fist, the other being much smaller on passenger fender about the size of a lighter, and there is slight fading on one corner of the rear bumper other than that paint is good and still shines very nice. Interior is in next to perfect shape, no tears in leather no cracks on dash.
I have been the owner of this car for the past 5 years now and this car has been meticulously maintained with oil changes every 3k with mobile oil and filter trans fluid flushed and filter changed every 10k, The timing chain guides tensioners and chains were just replaced($1500 job) along with valve cover gaskets, timing cover gasket and front main seal, also the oil was just changed and trans fluid and filter changed
Also will come with additional transmission tail shaft housing with lube mod that also hasn't been installed yet.

2016 Lincoln MKX packs plenty of power, MKC-inspired looks
Tue, Jan 13 2015Following on the heels of Ford's unveiling of its new Edge a few months back, Lincoln officially introduced the new MKX counterpart on Tuesday at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Unlike its Ford counterpart, the MKX does away with any notion of a four-cylinder, opting for the buyer's choice of a pair of V6 engines. At its base is FoMoCo's familiar 3.7-liter V6, generating a projected 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, although the real exciting powertrain news focuses on Lincoln's optional engine. Like the Edge, the top-end engine is a 2.7-liter, EcoBoost V6 that promises "more than" 330 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. We'd love to tell you about the performance impact this new engine has on the MKX, but as Lincoln probably hasn't published a 0-60 time since 1967, that simply isn't possible. Suffice it to say, we expect the most potent engine should offer pretty brisk acceleration. Aside from the power increase provided by the MKX's new engine lineup, Lincoln has thoroughly refitted the crossover's exterior, using its handsome MKC kid brother as its inspiration. It's a good look, to be honest, allowing the new CUV to maintain its styling edge over its Blue Ovaled platform mate. See what we mean in our gallery of live images, right from the Lincoln stage at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
Huge JFK auction includes two classic Lincolns
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Want to own a piece of American history? Perhaps you should consider 35th President John F. Kennedy's limousine, a stretched 1960 Lincoln Continental, or the last car he safely rode in before his assassination, a 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible. Both of them will be up for sale at the Camelot: Fifty Years after Dallas auction on October 24, a JFK 50th anniversary auction in Boston.
The black 1960 Continental was part of the presidential motorcade and is bulletproof. The body has been restored to the tune of about $35,000, according to RR Auctions, but the interior was left alone. That's okay, because the winning bidder will be able to enjoy lounging in the well-preserved seats and stepping on the original tan carpeting, just as President Kennedy did. The next owner can even play President, with a divider window, passenger air controls and a two-way telephone - if a chauffeur is hired, of course. The starting bid for the Continental is $25,000.
The other car is more historically relevant (but in this writer's eye, less beautiful), and commands a starting bid of $50,000. The white, convertible 1963 Continental was the last car President Kennedy rode in before his assassination in Dallas - with a notarized document by the car's owner at the time as proof. It was used to transport the President, his wife, Jacqeuline, and Texas governor John Connally "from a breakfast and speech at the Texas Hotel ballroom through the streets of Fort Worth to Carswell Air Force Base, where they boarded a short flight to Dallas on the morning of November 22, 1963," according to RR Auctions. Lincoln specialist Baker Restoration in Connecticut restored the car, which included an engine replacement, body work and paint. Most of the interior, including the seats, are in original condition.
Ford issues six recalls covering 101,000 vehicles for multiple issues
Tue, 08 Jul 2014Ford is announcing six separate recalls for a variety of issues affecting a dozen models and a total of 100,610 vehicles in North America. However, according to Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker, "None of them have caused accidents or injuries." Half of them cover fewer than 1,000 cars.
The largest recall covers 92,022 North American examples (about 83,250 in the US) of some models of the Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS, Ford Interceptor, Flex and Lincoln MKT from the 2013 and 2014 model years; the 2012-2014 Edge and the 2014 Lincoln MKX. All of them have a potential issue with the halfshaft on the right side that might not be fully seated and could move outward over time. If it shifts too far, the models may no longer be able to drive, and the condition could also allow the vehicles to roll away, even when in Park. Dealers will inspect the shaft to make sure it's seated and will replace the part if necessary.
The next-largest recall covers 5,264 North American examples (4,867 in the US) of the Ford F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis from the 2011-2014 model years. It's possible that an electrical junction box can corrode in areas with salty roads and short circuit. The problem could potentially cause a fire. Dealers will replace the box with an improved design.
