Big, fast, plush and posh, built to turn heads and drive like a sporty car while riding like a cloud. This is probably the best Mark VIII for sale in the country. It has 35,000 miles on it, and it looks like it just rolled off the lot. Only 14,357 1998 Mark VII's were built, only 2,351 in this preferred White Pearlescent. It still turns heads.Did I say fast? Popular Hot Rodding took one to Bonneville and clocked 181.7 mph. *4.6 L dual OH cam 4-valve-per-cylinder light alloy V-8 *Keyless entry*Power everything, including memory seats and tilt/telescope steering wheel*Leather seats, steering wheel, shifter and dash*Original factory carpet mats*Self-leveling air-bag suspension (recently replaced)*JBL sound system with CD*Tach, traction control*Automatic ACPerfectly maintained, all records and original bill of sale included."

This is the most nearly perfect 15-year-old daily driver I have ever seen. There is visible wear on the driver's seat, as one would expect on a daily driver. Carpet is excellent and the original mats are clean. Dash is perfect, as is original wood trim. Wear marks on inside door handle on drivers side and around key insertion. Everything else inside looks brand new.

Original paint is excellent, as the car was always garaged. If you look very closely, there are slight imperfections on the left front corner of the bumper. There are no chips or road rash on the front bumper or hood. Mirrors are perfect. No dulling of headlights or taillights. Chrome is perfect. Wheels are perfect. No rust anywhere. There is one door ding that can be seen under just the right light, just over the rear wheel rim. The bottom outside of the driver's door is bent (it appears he backed over something with the door open.) Additional photos can be provided upon request.

The owner kept every record of everything done to the car since new, as well as the original receipt. Most maintenance was done by the dealer, but some simple things were handled at the local station. The car was always hand-washed and waxed. It is very clean under the hood, and all the factory sticker and decals still look new. Mechanically, there appear to be no problems. Tires show wear but are good for several thousand more miles.

Everything works, both mechanically and electronically. Everything. All the automatic functions are still working, as the owner took it to the shop any time anything wasn't perfect. Wonderful car with collector's appeal.

I am selling the car for the owner's estate. I knew him personally and know how he took care of this vehicle. If you have any questions or requests, please contact me (Jeff).

Never mind the naysayers; Lincoln is worth saving

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

In the case of Henry Leland, naming his new car brand after the first President he cast a vote for in 1864 seemed a jolly good idea, on paper.
You should always be careful about the name you choose to give your new baby. The power of association can work in many ways, not always positive.

2015 Lincoln Navigator ready to roll for $62,475*

Wed, 21 May 2014

Fancy picking up a refreshed Lincoln Navigator? Well, prepare to shell out at least $62,475. That's a whopping increase of $6,310 for the now-EcoBoost-equipped SUV.
That's just for the two-wheel-drive Select model, though. Want to drive all four wheels? Better have an extra $3,575 laying around. Snagging the top-of-the-line Reserve model, meanwhile, demands a premium of $7,500.
For those extra bills, you'll net Lincoln Drive Control, complete with continuously controlled dampers, power running boards, Ziricote wood interior trim, upgraded leather, 22-inch wheels, a "unique" interior headliner and, of course, a "Reserve" badge.

Do you guys like trucks?

Wed, Jan 17 2018

Do you guys like trucks? If the answer is yes, boy do we have the show for you! The 2018 North American International Auto Show is lousy with 'em. Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. There are big trucks, little trucks, clean trucks, dirty trucks, old trucks, new trucks, red trucks, blue trucks. It's like a Dr. Seuss book. Anyway, we made a little video for you truck nuts (see what I did there?). Check it out above, and if you're looking for more serious coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, we've got it, along with a ton of images and other videos from the show floor. Enjoy!
