Up for sale is my 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII Rare Black on Black. I purchased the car in 2006 with somewhere around 85k miles and have barely driven it. Around 3 to 4 years ago I began a job that required 2 hours of driving each way, So the car was replaced by a 40 mpg car and the Mark VIII not driven much after that. There are no major problems at all. No accidents.  Interior and exeterior are in good to great condition. The suspension has been converted to regular springs, eliminating the very problematic Air Ride. You wouldn't believe how much the systems can cost you just trying to diagnose the problem.

The car runs and drives Great!  Has POWER! Since purchasing it I have put a few bucks into the it in terms of performance and the obvious custom paint and wheels. There is a K&N Filter, The upper/lower intake manifold have been ported and polished, The IRMC's have been lightly ported and polished, True Posi Rear-end with 373 gearing Installed by the Lincoln Dealership, Custom Exhaust(Sounds VERY Nice), 18" Cobra Saleen wheels, Custom Performix Brand Plasti-dip (Very Cool Stuff) Paint job with a layer of Glossifier to give a satin sheen, Wheels have also been done. This was a Non-Smoker car. Minor wear on the driver seat, No tears or rips though.

The only minor problems are... I replaced the Rear Neon light and Ballast when I purchased the car, but the light stopped working while the car was not being used(Must be a connection). Cup holder and ash tray cover are not functional.

While driving this car I absolutely loved it. It took me about a year to find the Black on Black color combination with decent mileage. I have taken care of her and now I would like to let someone else take care her. It was a Great car and I am SURE you will love it and enjoy it too.

KBB.com value is $3,600 to $4,400

Please feel free to ask me any questions about the car you like and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Good Luck!

Thanks for looking!

Lincoln MKC prototype caught partially covered, reveals some changes

Tue, 14 May 2013

When Lincoln pulled the wraps off the MKC Concept at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, we said that the very attractive concept was going to closely mirror the production vehicle. With few exceptions, a clad prototype recently caught running on public roads seems to substantiate our statement.
From what the pictures reveal, the disguised Lincoln MKC production mule and show concept seem to share the same waistline with identical sculpting over the wheels. The midsection of the two also appear to match with the same flare and styling. The lower rockers have been cleaned up a bit, mainly to be more practical in the real world (the deep chisels on the show car would have collected mud and snow).
Taking a look at the exposed front bumper, we see a very similar lower fascia complete wtih the metal skid plate on the chin. The window profile also seems to match the concept, though we're still unclear exactly how that C- and D-pillar section is going to look. Of course, and it always seems to be the case when concepts evolve into production vehicles, the MKC gains four normal door handles, standard-sized mirrors and a slightly smaller wheel/tire package. We expect the production version of the Lincoln MKC to debut later this year.

Next Lincoln Navigator to drop V8 in favor of V6, but Ford Expedition might get both

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

A great many buyers fled from full-size body-on-frame SUVs to car-based crossovers in large measure to save fuel. But that doesn't mean there's still not a buying audience for more traditional truck-based utility vehicles, and those consumers doubtlessly wouldn't mind saving some dollars at the pump, too. According to Motor Trend, those shoppers might be in luck.
That's because the magazine has confirmed that Ford isn't walking away from the full-size SUV segment, and it's poised to do something about its offerings' economy ratings, too. According to MT, global Lincoln director Matt VanDyke has hinted that the next Navigator may drop two cylinders and go with a V6 model - the current model gets just 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway from its 5.4-liter V8. The obvious fitment would be Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, an engine that has spread like kudzu throughout the rest of the Blue Oval's large vehicle lineup.
Downsized turbocharged engines like Ford's EcoBoost franchise have come under fire as of late for not delivering their EPA fuel economy ratings, but their benefits extend beyond consumption - the 3.5L offers superior power and a better torque curve than the naturally aspirated V8. MT also suggests that Ford's 3.7-liter V6 could form the base engine for the next Navi - it has similar horsepower but a lot less torque than the current 5.4L. That may be less of a problem with the next generation tipped to go on a diet, which could level the playing field somewhat.

2015 Lincoln Navigator

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Typically, when I approach a new vehicle launch, it's with a degree of optimism. Nowadays, we just expect that every new vehicle will pose a legitimate challenge to segment leaders. Mid-cycle refreshes, meanwhile, have taken on a greater degree of importance, as customers' preferences for the freshest vehicles remains strong and automakers rush to keep the latest tech in their offerings.
Conversely, I admit to not being terribly optimistic hopping into the 2015 Lincoln Navigator. I was the first person from Autoblog to see the new model in the metal, way back in January ahead of its Chicago Auto Show debut, and my initial reaction was far from positive. But, as I'd been the one that initially tested the new Cadillac Escalade and had just finished a week in the long-wheelbase version of General Motors' most premium SUV, I was a natural candidate to head down to Louisville, KY - home of Navigator production - to sample the brand's latest.
Lincoln's attempt at freshening the old Navigator's bling-bling face is pretty typical of today's more thorough mid-cycle refreshes, with dramatically new front and rear clips. The addition of standard 20-inch wheels or optional 22s - in place of standard 18s and optional 20s - goes a long way towards modernizing the Navigator's staid exterior. The cabin, meanwhile, is home to finer leather, which covers most of the dash as well as the steering wheel and seats. Warm Ziricote wood would prove to be a particular highlight on the top-flight Reserve model that I drove (the only trim available for us to test).
