First off.... I am not a dealer nor am I a flipper.. I'm just a car guy who does not know how to say no....My plans were to keep this car & do the five speed conversion. But I fell in love with a 73 Torino 2 door coup with a factory four speed...Need I say more????? Even though this car has low mileage I'm not going to scream & holler that its the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'll let the car & the pictures speak for them self...A lot of sellers would be screaming $15,000 $15,000 $ 15,000. I'm not even close to that. In fact my reserve is south of 10.

A gentleman from Madison NJ bought this car new & he kept it in a climate controlled garage. And from what I was told this was his baby & he rarely drove it. The car never saw snow nor did it see rain....Unfortunately he became ill & passed away in 2011. CANCER SUCKS!!!  At that time the car had 10,000 miles. He willed the car to his niece. She kept it in a garage for a year & was forced to park the car outside. Approximately one year. I found the car in the summer of 13 & at that time it had 15,000 miles. We worked out a deal & its been in a garage since.

Description....1-10

Body.....9     The body is in very good shape.. It has never been hit nor has it been painted. All the original tags are in place & the paint shines. There are no dents anywhere. There are a few rock chips here & there thanks to the idiots who run Sussex County NJ. The chrome is in very good condition. The 1/4 windows do have some pitting & some of the emblems show some wear from being outside but overall they are in great shape.

Glass...9.5

Wheels...Sorry not BBS.....I know it broke my heart also. The front two need to be reconditioned or replaced. The clear failed. The rear wheels are 9 & a 9.5

Tires ....Original....Yes original.. They are in very good shape but they are just starting to crack...Just a little......Around town no problem...Highway??????

Moon roof...Does not leak!! Works perfectly.

Interior...EXCELLENT...Dam near perfect!!!!

Radio...Needs to be reconditioned......But its the highly sought after Sony single cd player without the silver buttons.

Undercarriage...9   Shows some wear due to being outside...BUT ONLY SMALL AMOUNTS OF SURFACE RUST ON NON COATED PARTS.

Under the hood.. 8.5 Same issue as the undercarriage.

Transmission.... 10     First thing we did was drop the pan & change the fluid. It was pink so We figured it was done shortly before the owner passed. We adjusted the PSI to 32 but that was just too much like being at the drags. So we bumped it down to 30 PSI. It shifts nice & tight without too much bang. I never got around to swap out the TV connector. It still is in grat shape BUT THAT IS SOMETHING YOU MUST DO!!!

AC.  Ice cold.

Air suspension.....10... Works perfectly! The bags are in excellent shape. No dry rot, cracking, or leaks.

Mechanical 9.5
The drivers air bag (SRS) does not work. The clock spring needs to be replaced.
Thats it! Everything eles works.

What I have replaced.

Battery.
Water pump.
Serpentine belt.
Lower radiator hose.
Front Calibers & pads.
Passenger side lock actuator...Go figure.
Antenna...Double go figure

Overall this is a excellent car & only needs a little el bow grease. It is probably one of the tightest cars I have ever owned. Who ever buys this car will not be disappointed.

Any bidders that have a feedback of ten or less MUST contact me first or your bid will be cancelled!!

Good luck......

New 2020 Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator recalled for minor safety issues

Wed, Aug 7 2019

Ford has announced a small recall on 2020 Explorers and 2020 Lincoln Aviators. Select units might be missing a manual park release cover, while others might have instrument clusters stuck in Factory Mode. The recall affects 14,135 SUVs in total.  While a vehicle is in production in a manufacturing facility, Ford might put them in what is known as Factory Mode to help reduce battery drain. Affecting the instrument cluster, this mode disables warning alerts, warning chimes, and does not show the PRNDL gear selector display. Ford says one vehicle was in an accident at a production facility as a result of the issue, but nobody was injured.  Separately, Ford found that some of these Explorers and Aviators might be lacking a manual park release cover. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards require a manual park release cover that is only removable with a tool. Without the cover, there is a very minor chance the manual park release could be accidentally actuated, which could allow the vehicle to move on its own.  The recalls affect 13,896 vehicles in the U.S. and 239 in Canada. The Explorers were built between March 27, 2019, and July 24, 2019. The Aviators were built between April 10, 2019, and July 24, 2019. Owners can use Ford's recall number 19C06, and if affected, can take their vehicles in for fixes.

Lincoln and MKZ propose brand reinvention

Mon, 03 Dec 2012

Lincoln made a rather assertive statement about the future of its products at the 2012 LA Auto Show. Rather than put any new vehicle on display for the first press day, the American premium brand placed a collection of classic cars from its past on the show floor. For the second day, that assortment was replaced with more than a half-dozen examples of the all-new 2013 MKZ. Following that, Lincoln teased a new ad campaign that was in the works, and it appears we now have the first extended promotional video.
Entitled "The Lincoln Motor Company," the spot acts as more of a mission statement, rather than an ad, featuring (once again) cars from Lincoln's past, as well as certain bits of Americana usually reserved for a Levi's ad. The video concluded with Lincoln reintroducing itself to the world, accompanied by a new name: The Lincoln Motor Company.
The video is likely to be the first of many in a large advertising blitz by the automaker, in concert with the rolling-out of the new MKZ. The sedan was the only new vehicle featured in the video, and Lincoln is betting heavily on this "reinvention" to bring customers in to see its new sedan. We want to know what's next. Scroll down to watch the video.

Editors' Picks, May 2023: Some Subarus and a pair of luxury SUVs

Thu, Jun 1 2023

The month of May saw a number of new vehicles jump into the pool of Editors' Picks. Subaru grabbed a pair with its brand-new generation of Crosstrek for 2024, and the Legacy earns one in the ever-shrinking midsize sedan segment. In the luxury space, we have one entry from Britain and one from here at home. The new Range Rover already got an Editors' Pick, but now the Range Rover Sport joins the ranks. The Corsair earned Editors' Pick status before its update, too, but now the refreshed version rejoins the ranks. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get an EditorsÂ’ Pick designation. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in May that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2023 Subaru Legacy 2023 Subaru Legacy View 15 Photos Quick take: The Legacy brings all-wheel drive with sedan dynamics to a shrinking segment, and it does so with a competitive price, respectable tech and tons of utility. Score: 7.5 What it competes with: Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 Pros: All-wheel drive in every trim, spunky turbo engine, tons of space in the rear and trunk Cons: CVT makes for a dull drive, infotainment is clunky, styling is on the bland side From the editors: Associate Editor Byron Hurd — "Not everybody has abandoned sedans. Not only is Subaru keeping some of its eggs in this four-door basket, but it's dyeing them in some festive shades. The new turbocharged and tightened Sport model makes a great case for itself as a grown-up WRX without all the GT-themed nonsense. Shame about the CVT." In-depth analysis: 2023 Subaru Legacy gets Sport trim, more tech, fresh design   2023 Range Rover Sport Quick take: It may not be outwardly sporty, but the Range Rover Sport has a killer design, gorgeous interior, buttery-smooth driving characteristics and a clean tech interface.
