This could be your last great car! I get about 24 MPG on the highway and about 18 around town. I only use premium fuel, it is serviced about every 2500-3000 miles.
Have more than one of these beauties so am selling the best one...trying to downsize my auto insurance rates! Runs great, tires are good, title is clear and tags are still good for Oregon. This needs only 2 things...it needs a brake wheel sensor and a new muffler (I think), it has a nice sound but it's louder than what it was lol. There is only 1 small, less than perfect spot on the interior drivers seat (closest to the door where you enter the seat otherwise all seats are near perfect. Dash has been covered so no known cracks. Pictures tell a better story. These are the original pics from when I bought the car at 73K miles and nothing has changed except it now needs to be washed again. Have current pics, just can't get my computer to talk to my digital camera!!! Will upload more current ones when I can fix the glitch. Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.
Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion

For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.

Mon, 13 Oct 2014You would think that commercial being ridiculed across the Internet would be an advertising executive's worst nightmare, but that's not necessarily the case. At least not when it comes to Lincoln and its latest campaign to promote the new MKC.
The campaign features Matthew McConaughey channeling his characters from True Detective and The Lincoln Lawyer, and was quickly spoofed by both Conan O'Brien and Ellen DeGeneres. But instead of shaking their heads in dismay at the comedy talk-show hosts' take on their ad, Lincoln and its advertising firm Hudson Rouge welcome the free publicity.
"We're flattered. Just to get out into the public mind with parodies says you've achieved a certain amount of notoriety," Hudson Rouge CCO Jon Pearce told Automotive News. "It's hard to put a dollar amount on earned media. We couldn't ask for better."
