1989 Lincoln Mark VII LSC

Medium Driftwood Clearcoat Metallic

Sandalwood Leather Interior

VIN: 1LNBM93EXKY702335

20,038 Original Miles

This beautiful low mileage Lincoln was originally bought by an older couple in Seattle, Washington. The car was intended for the wife to drive, but shortly after receiving it her health declined and the car did not accrue many miles. Years later a friend of the family who was an avid Lincoln enthusiast bought the car for his collection. During his ownership the car was garage kept and never driven in bad weather. In 2010 the car was purchased by a collector in Manassas, Virginia where it was garage kept and never driven in the rain. In 2012 the car passed to it's current owner who is also a collector and likewise has never operated the car in rainy weather. This Mark VII has no rust or body damage and has always been owned by non smoking mature adults. Attesting to it's low mileage, the car wears it's original Goodyear Eagle GT tires. Notice the chrome on the exterior and you will see no pitting or hazing. The interior is in like new condition with no noticeable wear. The undercarriage is extremely clean and rust free. Notice the bottoms of the floor pans and you will see no rust issues. As expected of a 20,000 mile car, the 5.0 litre Mustang GT engine runs smooth and strong with no smoking or mechanical issues. In addition to the long list of standard features on the Mark VII this car was ordered with the following options: Anti Theft Alarm System - Traction Lok Axle - Auto Dim Day/Night Mirror - Ford JBL Audio System. The factory radio was not functioning properly and was replaced with a Pioneer DEH 5500HD Stereo with CD and Ipod input. Included with the car is the original window sticker and dealer invoice and full shop manual and electrical/ vacuum diagnostic manual. This is very likely the nicest and lowest mileage Lincoln Mark VII in existence today. If you are a Mark VII enthusiast and are looking for the best one to buy, this is the one. With a Buy It Now price of $8,995.00 this Lincoln will not last long. Deposit in the amount of $300.00 due within 48 hours via PayPal. Lincoln Continental prototype breaks down, requires a tow

Wed, Dec 2 2015

Sometimes, cars break. Sometimes, said cars happen to be prototypes covered in camouflage. And sometimes, spy photographers are on hand to capture the sad sight. Such is the case here, as our trusty long-lenses have captured images of a stricken Lincoln Continental getting a tow back the shop. It's not clear what happened with the wounded Continental, but its unfortunate breakdown has given us a great look at the car's sprawling glass roof. Like the current MKZ, it looks like the Conti's panoramic roof can slide back, although we doubt it will cover up any element of the rear window, like its smaller sibling. And unlike our previous round of spy photos, this latest gallery gives us a look at a rather substantial set of integrated exhaust tips (i.e. fakes that have been fitted directly to the rear bumper cover). We can also spy a bit of the interior, although it's nowhere near as good as our last round of images. These shots do, however, show off a full roll cage and a fire extinguisher, but we wouldn't count on those being offered with the production model. Their presence here, though, leads us to believe that the car in question is probably some kind of vehicle dynamics tester. Look for a full introduction of the all-new Continental next month, when it debuts at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Related Video:

Lincoln Continental production likely to shift to Flat Rock

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Lincoln production may be returning to Michigan, according to a new report from Automotive News. While the brand's current big sedan, the MKS, is built alongside the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, and their Police Interceptor counterparts at the Blue Oval's Chicago, IL factory, the production version of the Continental won't be screwed together in the Windy City. According to AN, "industry sources" claim the Continental will join the Ford Mustang and Ford Fusion – on which the big Lincoln is loosely based – at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. The move isn't just based on convenience, though. Ford is selling a lot of Explorers, and shifting Lincoln production away from Chicago Assembly frees up production capacity for the popular SUV. "Chicago Assembly Plant is vital to our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to manufacture the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor vehicles even after we phase out production of the MKS in 2016," Ford told Automotive News. "We will continue to match production to demand." Looking at the numbers further backs up the argument against Lincoln production in Chicago. Last year alone, Ford built nearly 285,000 Explorers and over 73,000 Taurus sedans, compared to just 8,300 Lincolns. Finally, as AN tells it, Ford is almost telegraphing the Continental's arrival in Flat Rock. The facility has a four-week shut down scheduled from June 15 through July 13, which is twice as long as the typical summer vacation, while there's another two weeks off slated for September. Lincoln Continental with suicide doors sold out, but Lincoln will make more

Mon, Jan 21 2019

The Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition was announced just late last year, but now we have news that it's coming back for a second run of cars. All 80 initially planned have been allocated at this point. Lincoln wouldn't give an exact final price, but says it's somewhere north of $110,000. A fully-loaded Black Label car goes for a bit over $70,000, so it appears to be about a $40,000 premium for the Coach Door Edition. We're told that customers will be notified about their success at grabbing one in February, with shipments commencing over summer. Lincoln originally decided to build 80 of these because it's officially called the "80th Anniversary" car. Now that there will be a second year of production, we reached out to see if Lincoln will continue to produce the same number, or switch it up. Judging by the internet's excitement about this expensive sedan, there's a lot of interest in it. If you missed the reveal the first time around, you can read our full breakdown. To be succinct, it's a normal Black Label Continental that's been stretched by six inches and had suicide doors fitted to it. Sweet. There's also a full flow-through center console for the two rear passengers. Lincoln contracted Cabot Coach Builders to manufacture it; the two have worked together in the past. It's great to see Lincoln will be building more of these flagship-type sedans for the world. One could even make the argument that every new Continental screwed together should look like this, for history's sake. Related video:
