Thank you for looking at my classic car. I purchased this car about a year ago from a collector who was a master mechanic. He modified the motor to nearly 500 horsepower from the factory 365. This is one beautiful original hot rod Lincoln with 11,444 actual miles. All work done was in the motor; you can’t tell by looking. Everything on this car is factory. The story goes that the gentleman who purchased the car new didn’t really use it and just left it in the garage for most of the years he owned it. The underneath of this car is clean and solid just like the outside. The passenger window in front does work, but the switch is bad and so in the picture you will see a replacement switch that has not yet been installed. The rear of the car has air shocks to raise or lower the back end of the car. It is presently at a medium position.

The car starts fine, runs smoothly down the road, shifts well, and is just a pleasure to be in. I see these cars on eBay all the time but I haven’t really seen very many in this condition, especially with the low actual miles.  I see no cracks in the paint and there were a couple nicks around the car that I got the factory touch up paint applied. I will throw in the bottle of touch-up paint with the purchase. This car is 44 years old but I believe that it’s in fabulous condition for the year. The body, chrome and top on the car is in really nice shape. What a cruiser this car will be to the lucky winner. It is big, cool, safe, sounds great and is a head turner going down the street. I had $4,000 worth of maintenance work done in 2013 and have most of the receipts. If you think it should be done, it has probably already been replaced or rebuilt.  Clean title and actual miles reading 11,444.

I am selling this car no-reserve. No reserve means that the last highest bidder wins my car when the auction is over. I am not listing a price, because I am letting all bidders have an opportunity to pay what they believe that the car is worth. I am also selling this car as-is which means that there is no warranty on the car because there is no way that I can guarantee a car that is almost 50 years old. The payment methods on my car include either wire transfer or cash. This car must be paid for within 48 hours of the auction ending. If it is not paid for it will be offered to the highest bidder below your bid.

I will not pay to have the car shipped, but I will assist your shipper with pickup.  I will not accept checks, certified checks, Paypal or deposit. The car must be paid for in full within 48 hours. If you have any questions about the car or would like to come and personally inspect and drive my beautiful car, please call Lou Davis at 216-210-8488. I am located in Wickliffe, OH, just about 15 minutes from Downtown Cleveland. Thank you very much for reading all the information, and good luck bidding.

Lincoln Aviator debuts as stylish 3-row crossover with a surprise

Wed, Mar 28 2018

NEW YORK — At a studio in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan, after a walk through an "art gallery" full of inspiration for Lincoln's newest midsize, three-row Aviator crossover, we saw the company's future. That's not breathless hyperbole, either. Lincoln's huge Navigator is selling like gangbusters, but the aging MKT is a sad vestige of the company's last attempt to reinvent itself. The company needs an attractive, well-proportioned three-row with contemporary powertrains to complement the MKC and the larger Nautilus (nee MKX). For those wondering, the MKC is likely to get renamed at its next refresh, and the lousy MK__ naming convention will finally die. But while the names are refreshing, that's not the reason the Aviator is so important. For one, it'll almost certainly lend its underpinnings, which are rear-wheel-drive based, to the next Ford Explorer. The other is that it's an all-important three-row, a conventionally-shaped one rather than the awkward MKT's long, lumpy look. The Aviator — the vehicle we saw is a preview, not a production model, but is extremely close to production — has style and presence. There's more than a bit of Range Rover Velar in the look, but it's not a clone. And the interior is a wonderful interpretation of the larger Navigator's bold, distinctive and purely American look. View 20 Photos While many, many details are unspecified at this stage — including exact engine details, dimensions, and the like — there's enough there to draw some conclusions about the new Aviator. For one, it's got a version of the Navigator's elegant interior. Those Perfect Position seats, also seen in the Continental, covered with soft leather, are central to the Aviator's interior experience. When's the last time beautiful seats were such a selling point? Other than Volvo, no one's put enough attention on unique and particularly comfortable seats. It's a unique selling proposition and, also, a nice aesthetic detail. You could say the same for the dash design: It's low and sleek, with solid but not bulky elements and the sort of tastefulness normally reserved for Scandinavian industrial design. Back to the rear-drive platform and what little else we know of the powertrain. For one, it'll feature a twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine with an available plug-in hybrid option. As far as we can tell, both versions will use the same engine, and there are no optional engines outside of this.

Production Lincoln Continental will debut at Detroit Auto Show

Fri, Oct 9 2015

The Lincoln Continental concept that debuted at the 2015 New York Auto Show was an absolute star of the event thanks to its handsome lines and sumptuous interior. At the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, we'll get to see how well those fantastic looks transition to the road, as Lincoln will debut the production version there, according to Car and Driver. A market launch will reportedly come later in the year. The stately styling, including the mesh grille, is expected to move largely unaltered to production, but Lincoln is still being vague about the luxury sedan's mechanical parts. The brand's marketing manager Imran Jalal tells Car and Driver the Continental is based on a front-wheel drive platform but an all-wheel drive version in assured. Based on details from the New York show, it reportedly uses a Lincoln-exclusive 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 for power. There are no plans for a hybrid, either, according to Jalal. Assembly of the Continental is expected to happen at Ford's Flat Rock, MI, factory alongside the Mustang and Fusion. The MKS, which the new Lincoln replaces, is built in Chicago along with several other models. Freeing up the space there, could let the Blue Oval keep up with demand for the Explorer. While the Continental ushers in styling changes for Lincoln, the shift doesn't extend to model names. Contrary to earlier rumors, the brand doesn't intend to abandon the MK model names in the lineup anytime soon, according to Jalal. Related Video:

Lincoln reveals MKC compact crossover ahead of LA debut [w/video]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

It used to be that if you wanted a luxury SUV, you had to go big. Just look at the first high-riders released by some of the major luxury automakers - Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX - and you'll see what we mean. But since 2009 the small premium crossover segment has grown a whopping 200 percent, so it's no surprise that each has followed up with smaller luxury crossovers. And this is the latest.
At the other end of the utility spectrum from the Navigator, the new Lincoln MKC is based on the Ford Escape (much as the old pseudo-premium Mercury Mariner was), but completely rebodied and luxed up to put it in another league. Although we're still not sold on Lincoln's family fascia, the grille treatment on the MKC is certainly one of the better variations on the theme to date. The Dart-like rear lights dominate the wrap-around tailgate, and the overall shape looks taut and upscale. The same can be said of the dynamically-designed interior, taking the concept revealed in Detroit earlier this year to production fairly seamlessly.
Power will come from a choice of EcoBoost four-cylinder engines with turbocharging and direct injection: a 2.0-liter with 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, or a slightly punchier new 2.3-liter with 275 hp and 300 lb-ft. Lincoln didn't disclose what transmission they'll be mated to, but did note that the MKC carries the brand's "signature" push-button gear shifter. It comes standard in front drive, but buyers who upgrade to all-wheel drive (or tick the right box) will also benefit from a new adaptive suspension Lincoln calls Continuously Controlled Damping. Other features include an approach-detection system that lights the car up and projects a Lincoln "welcome mat" on the pavement when you get close to the car, and a "bread-crumbing" feature that lets you track where your vehicle has been.
