I am selling my 56 lincoln, that I purchased about three years ago from an estate, with the intention of fixing this up and having a dream car to drive ,but am coming to the realisation that I cannot accomplish what I would like to with it at this time,First I DO NOT have the title,it was lost long ago i was told,It does have the plate with the number, but did not write it down at this time,It will be available to those that want to know it,It seems to be important to buyers to know its production number,I will have a bill of sale for the buyer,The car is rough but very complete and rare,I hate to part it out, personally believe it can be saved, but either way,it has a lot of value as a parts car,the front floor has some rust through, the rears and trunk are very solid,as is the frame and body, the paint is chipping heavily, but not rusted through anywhere, there is damage to the left front fender, and missing the headlight ring, the motor is complete and turns over,I do not have keys, and have not tried to hot wire anything, but believe it will run,the drivers window, and rear window will need new wiring, the motor works, but not through the switch,I have three of the four hubcaps, pictured, and any parts not on the car are in the trunk,I really dont have a lot to add,if youre looking at this ad,you know what a great car these are,and this one is savable,It rolls and can be winched on a trailer easily,I really hope someone can see this car for what a great piece of history it is and can do it justice, and get it back on the road someday,.

Lincoln MKC crossover adopts the Continental's grille

Thu, Jun 15 2017

The last vestiges of the controversial split Lincoln grille are slowly being removed as the company revamps its lineup. It started with the MKZ and Continental, with the most recent rhinoplasty recipient being the Navigator. Now, based on spy shots, it looks like the MKC crossover will be the fourth to get the new corporate grille. Under the heavy vinyl coverings, we can clearly see the proud Continental-inspired grille. We can also see that it will feature the same chrome mesh with Lincoln badge-shaped openings found on other cars with the grille design. We can also assume that the headlights will receive a substantial refresh, but the lower bumper doesn't look particularly different. The rest of this prototype MKC looks the same as the existing model. The back is covered, which indicates that the taillights may be updated. We wouldn't expect a radically different look, since the MKC already has a full-width taillight treatment. We also noticed that the wheels appear to be inspired by the cool turbine wheels of the Navigator. Whatever the other changes are, we'll probably see them soon. This is clearly just a refresh, and so there's a good chance we'll see the production model revealed by the end of the year, or early next year at the latest. Related Video:

2016 Lincoln MKX packs plenty of power, MKC-inspired looks

Tue, Jan 13 2015

Following on the heels of Ford's unveiling of its new Edge a few months back, Lincoln officially introduced the new MKX counterpart on Tuesday at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Unlike its Ford counterpart, the MKX does away with any notion of a four-cylinder, opting for the buyer's choice of a pair of V6 engines. At its base is FoMoCo's familiar 3.7-liter V6, generating a projected 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, although the real exciting powertrain news focuses on Lincoln's optional engine. Like the Edge, the top-end engine is a 2.7-liter, EcoBoost V6 that promises "more than" 330 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. We'd love to tell you about the performance impact this new engine has on the MKX, but as Lincoln probably hasn't published a 0-60 time since 1967, that simply isn't possible. Suffice it to say, we expect the most potent engine should offer pretty brisk acceleration. Aside from the power increase provided by the MKX's new engine lineup, Lincoln has thoroughly refitted the crossover's exterior, using its handsome MKC kid brother as its inspiration. It's a good look, to be honest, allowing the new CUV to maintain its styling edge over its Blue Ovaled platform mate. See what we mean in our gallery of live images, right from the Lincoln stage at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

Do you guys like trucks?

Wed, Jan 17 2018

Do you guys like trucks? If the answer is yes, boy do we have the show for you! The 2018 North American International Auto Show is lousy with 'em. Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. There are big trucks, little trucks, clean trucks, dirty trucks, old trucks, new trucks, red trucks, blue trucks. It's like a Dr. Seuss book. Anyway, we made a little video for you truck nuts (see what I did there?). Check it out above, and if you're looking for more serious coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, we've got it, along with a ton of images and other videos from the show floor. Enjoy!
