1972 Lincoln Continental Mark IV, unrestored mostly original condition, vehicles weighs just short of 5,000 lbs of All-American sheet metal. Engine 460-V8 7.5 liter is original and unrebuilt except for replacement carburetor. 1972 was the first year for engines with hardened valve seats to run on unleaded gas but was the last year before compression ratio's went down. 1972 is considered the last year of the american muscle car. There is no catalytic converter or emissions required on this vehicle (except in California). Starts and runs well, burns some oil but doesn't knock, the engine still has A LOT of power and torque even though it is 40 years old. Transmission attached to motor is also original and shifts nice and smoothly and reverse gear works fine. I have driven the car and it mostly works well, turn signals, brakes, etc... but I noticed that when it shifts through the gears the back end of the car feels like it 'moves' a little bit and is an unsettling feeling. A/C works and doesn't make any noise but it needs a re-charge (R-12). Power Windows and Seats work except the drivers seat won't move forward or back but it still will tilt. The paint is original and body appears to NEVER have been worked on. There is body cancer above the rear drivers wheel and also around the back window and trunk, the buyer needs to look at the car to determine what they think the extent of the rust damage may be. A brief inspection of the underside looks ok with some rust but not very much rot or cancer. The wheels that came on it are chrome 20" and are pretty much junk and need to be replaced, the tires do have tread on them. Bids start at $1000.00 and the buy it now price is $3000.00 there is NO RESERVE. FULL PAYMENT DUE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE, deposits are non-refundable. all statements about vehicle condition are believed to be true by seller but vehicle is sold 'AS IS' WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEES. owner/seller contact Jack (941) 661-1848 in sunny Port Charlotte, Florida.

Lincoln putting perfume on its sales
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Lincoln has a scent. But unlike those from Mustang, Lamborghini or even Shark by Tara, you can't buy it and you have to visit a Lincoln dealership to inhale its notes of jasmine hedione, mate tea leaves and tonka beans. Essence of Lincoln - that's what it's called - is being piped through the ventilation systems at some showrooms to help "create an emotional connection between the luxury brand and its customers," and olfactorily promote the idea of "luxury and warmth." Where it's not run through the ducts, visitors can sample it on scent cards.
Master perfumer Rene Morgenthaler worked with aroma house SensoryMax to design Essence of Lincoln. Also including traces of Earl Grey bergamot and green tea, whenever you encounter it you're meant to enjoy "a feeling of belonging to an exclusive, forward-thinking group that values style and success." And then buy an MKC. There's a press release below with details and an image to explain more, if you're still having a little trouble smelling the orange blossoms.
2020 Lincoln Corsair gets a price, and there's a wide range
Fri, May 17 2019The 2020 Lincoln Corsair configurator is open for business, and that means we also know the luxury compact crossover's price. It starts at $36,940, including the $995 destination charge. If you try your hardest and tick every single box Lincoln lets you, it's possible to get the price above $60,000. We're not suggesting you do that like we did, but it's always interesting to know how high it can go. Read everything we know so far about the 2020 Lincoln Corsair The base price gets you a Corsair "Standard" that is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder making 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque sent to the front wheels. If you want all-wheel drive, Lincoln forces the selection of the "Standard I" equipment package, which ends up resulting in a $3,600 increase. That package consists of ambient lighting, a universal garage door opener, navigation and 18-inch wheels. One of the more expensive boxes you're likely to check on the entry-level trim is the Co-Pilot360 Plus Package for $3,050. That includes a bunch of driver assistance gear like adaptive cruise control, lane centering, sign recognition and evasive steering assist. A $2,500 Premium Package nets premium leather seats, a panoramic roof and 19-inch wheels. 2020 Lincoln Corsair View 12 Photos Of course, you can skip a lot of the option and package jumping by choosing the "Reserve" trim that begins at $43,625 with some premium stuff already included. This also unlocks the ability to get the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, which makes 280 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Selecting this forces the Reserve I package and all-wheel drive onto the table, which gives you a ton of equipment, but also increases the price by $6,740. This makes the cheapest Corsair with the most powerful engine start at $50,365. You can go crazy from there, tacking on the Reserve II Package for features like adaptive suspension, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, 360-degree camera, wireless charging pad, digital gauge cluster and rain-sensing wipers. Like we said, this thing can get near or over $60,000 without much effort. The Corsair's base price compares favorably to other compact luxury crossovers like the $41,995 BMW X3 and $40,700 Mercedes-Benz GLC. However, adding in a desirable option like the higher-output engine brings the price up considerably.
Lincoln MKC crossover headed for Detroit
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Fresh off the launch of the stylish new MKZ sedan, the newly named Lincoln Motor Company is reportedly preparing for a lineup expansion. According to TheDetroitBureau.com, the first new product joining the Lincoln brand is a small crossover based on the Ford Escape said to be called the MKC. We saw this machine testing a few months ago, and while we were hoping the name might be reserved for a future two-door model or even the diminutive Concept C hatchback, it looks like the "C" will stand for compact crossover instead.
The report also says that this crossover will be making its debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, so we'll have to wait until then to see what the new model looks like. Unlike the MKX, which is based off the Ford Edge, we would expect there to be a lot more differentiation between the MKC and the Escape like Ford managed to do with the newest Fusion and MKZ.
In addition to the new MKC, the article states new MKS and Navigator designs are expected to debut by 2014.
