Very nice Lincoln Conintential Mark III. According to previous owner the 43,000 miles shown are actual and general condition supports that.  It is a factory triple black car, with the HP 460, and factory positraction 9" rearend.    Engine has had a intake and carburetor upgrade as well as the valvecovers and air cleaner.  Inside it is all stock with the exception of the lacquered wood and polished steering wheel.  Everything works electrically with the exception of seat tilt function on one of the seats.  Clock gets stuck but does run, radio and antenna both work. ALL 4 WINDOWS WORK!!!!!  Vac headlight covers do work but bleed off when engine is not running.  Front seats have a few bad seams, but rear is very nice and all of the door panels are intact and in good condition.  Headliner has a seam that has came loose due to aging thread. Local upholstery shop said it can be re-stiched with new thread.  I have had a few of these Mark III's and am familiar with common problems and have corrected most every common issue.  Car runs and drives well.  Wheels are custom and  20x10.5 rear and 20x9 front and fit excellent.  Windows are lightly tinted with 50% film.   There is NO rust issues with the car.  Top is in excellent condition with no rips or snags. Body feels solid around the rear window where the usual problems are. trunk is excellent and has had seams protected with POR-15 coating.

low original mileage and a mean look makes for a nice gentlemans muscle car that attracts attention at every stop.  Very rare to find in this condition with the excellent color combination.   fly in and drive it home or we can help arrange shipping. Low cost delivery to local port for out international buyers is also available! Immediate deposit of 500.00 due at end of auction.   Car is available anytime for preview or inspection. as With any large purchase, inspections are encouraged!  You win the bid you own it as there is no reserve.

Thanks for looking and good luck

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

Thu, 10 May 2012

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.

BMW reclaims US luxury sales crown from Mercedes

Tue, Jan 6 2015

The numbers, they are in: BMW has reclaimed the luxury-sales crown from Mercedes by a margin of 9,347 cars. Mercedes donned the king's headgear in 2013 after a strong final quarter of 2013 when the new CLA and S-Class poured out of dealerships. This year, led by the 3 Series/4 Series and X5, BMW sold 339,738 units – a 9.8-percent increase year-on-year. Mercedes, led by the C-Class and M-Class, saw its sales go up by 5.7 percent to 330,391 units. We'll have to wait a bit to see if there's another registrations-vs-sales challenge as in 2012, when BMW was anointed US luxury ruler. Behind them, a dark horse named Lexus nudged closer to the leading Teutons, selling 311,389 cars. The Japanese luxury automaker also had the biggest gain among the top three, its sales rising by 13.7 percent compared to 2013. Audi had the biggest sales of anyone among the top five, though, with a 15.2-percent gain to 182,011, which moved it a spot ahead of Cadillac; the Wreath-and-Crest brand dropped 6.5 percent to 170,750. Acura (167,843), Infiniti (117,300), and Lincoln (94,474) took the final positions. Speaking of Lincoln, sales at the once-mighty luxury marque stand as the mightiest jump of any on this list, up 15.6 percent. That's the power of Matthew McConaughey... and better cars and a new crossover, sure. So now that we're back to Round One of 2015, in case no one else has said it yet: "Ok, fight!"

Conan O'Brien takes McConaughey's Lincoln ad to its logical conclusion

Thu, 11 Sep 2014

We all had to see this coming. Conan O'Brien has released a parody of Matthew McConaughey's new ads for the 2015 Lincoln MKC and remixed them with lines from one of his most critically acclaimed recent roles.
The now much darker commercial probably isn't how Lincoln would prefer the MKC to be marketed, but really in a few of the actual ads, McConaughey already seems moments away from breaking into a full Rustin Cohle from True Detective impression. The cadence and tone of his voice are just so close to that character, especially in the one where he's talking to the bull standing in the middle of the road. It very nearly verges on parody anyway; Conan is just turning all of this up to 11.
It's a little surprising that the writers didn't dig a little deeper into the McConaughey oeuvre for the parody. Maybe McConaughey could have taken the MKC for a party at the Moon Tower from Dazed and Confused. In any case, it's worth a quick watch, so check it out.
