 1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible!

Selling the rarest of the suicide door convertibles.  They only made about 2000 of these and it's estimated there are less than 200 on the road today.  And I'm sure only a handful anywhere near this condition, not to mention black on black.  This is my personal car titled and registered in my name.  I drive it often and have never had any issues with it.  I take it to local car shows and it always steals the show!  Here is your chance to stand out among the many Camaros and Mustangs.  Of every show and cruise in I've attended so far, I have the only convertible Lincoln and it gets all the attention.  Plan to spend extra time everywhere you go talking to people about this thing.  I don't think I've ever stopped for gas without people coming up to see the car and ask questions.  The top works every time via the top switch on the dash, the key on the rear fender, or the really cool custom remote.  All the windows work smoothly as well with all of the original relays and wiring.  If you know these cars, you know how important and rare that is. The car has been professionally restored to near original condition.  The seats were just finished last week.  They were done right with the correct grain real leather and cost almost $3000.  The only "custom" parts of the car are the black billet grill with smoked lights and the carbon fiber door panels.  They were originally wood grain, which I never liked since the rest of the car is all black and chrome.  The carbon fiber with the original Lincoln emblems looks fantastic.  I meticulously maintain this car, so all the fluids are fresh, battery is strong, tires are 90%, brakes are new, car runs drives steers and stops great.  The 462 cubic inch engine runs strong and smooth with a new edelbrock carb and new fuel pump.  It's super quiet with brand new mufflers and factory resonators.  This car floats down the road like you are sitting on your couch and all you hear is the wind.  Everyone who has ever ridden in it comments on how smooth and quiet it is.  I have included dozens of pictures and a video to show as much detail as possible.  As always, I recommend coming to see the car in person before bidding.  I have sold several classic cars on Ebay with 100% positive feedback.  I'm happy to answer any additional questions via email or phone.  I will also assist with shipping by driving the car to a local airport or freight company within fifty miles.  This is a rare opportunity to own a one of a kind car that will always stand out everywhere you go.  Don't hesitate and end up kicking yourself for years.  Every time I drive this car it puts a smile on my face.  There's nothing like cruising on a sunny day in such an iconic piece of American history getting all the honks, waves, and thumbs up.....

Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

On Sep-20-14 at 16:34:43 PDT, seller added the following information:

To answer some of the common questions I'm getting...
The AC works and blows cold.
The frame is solid and there is no sag whatsoever, so the doors open and close smoothly as they should.
The top is in great condition with no tears or holes.
The car stops very well and does not pull left or right when braking.
It steers perfectly with no noises or restrictions in turn radius.
The radio works but isn't hooked up.
Yes it has power steering, power brakes, power windows, 6-way power seat and yes all 6 functions work on the seat.
The transmission shifts smoothly with no jerks or skips.
There are no flaws whatsoever in the seats.  No scratches or marks at all in the leather and new foam was added when seats were done a few weeks ago so no sag or uneven cushion.
The picture with the palm tree reflection was taken with my phone (as they all were) and was not photoshopped in any way.
The car starts every time with no need to pump the gas or use starting fluid or any of that other nonsense.  Just turn the key.
The remote is on the key chain and works every time from over 100 feet away.  And yes it draws a crowd every time it goes up or down with no one near it. ;)
And the one I've been asked 30 times already... There is no buy it now.  The car will sell to the highest bidder.  This really is to the buyers advantage...i/e if you offer me 50k in person and I agree, you pay 50k.  If you bid 50k here and the next highest bidder is 40k, you get the car for 40,100 and save thousands.  So if you are a serious buyer, instead of calling and emailing me offers, make that offer with a bid.
Thank you for all of your interest and compliments and good luck!

2020 Lincoln Aviator final specs drop — it makes even more power than before

Mon, Aug 12 2019

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is getting more power, and we haven’t even driven it yet. Well, itÂ’s not getting more power, but the final numbers are officially out, and theyÂ’re higher than what Lincoln promised at the initial reveal. We were told at last year's L.A. Auto Show that the base 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 would make 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Lincoln's spec sheet shows itÂ’s still going to make 400 horsepower, but the torque figure is now up to 415 pound-feet. We're looking at the same spec sheet, but a hat tip to CarBuzz for noticing the change first. The plug-in hybrid model has received an even larger bump to its ratings. Lincoln said it would be 450 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque combined, but itÂ’s actually going to be 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. We were a bit slack-jawed at the numbers before, and this just takes it one step further. Lincoln still isnÂ’t quoting any acceleration numbers, but with this amount of power, something in the 4- to 5-second range seems likely for a 0-60 mph time. ItÂ’s a legitimate shot across the bow in the German SUV horsepower wars. That said, the Aviator persona comes across as much more muscle car-like than a performance SUV meant to tackle lap times like the AMGs and M car SUVs of the world. We donÂ’t know the all-electric range yet, but Lincoln did tell us the size of the battery pack and the electric motorÂ’s output. Aviator PHEVs will be working with a 13.6 kWh battery pack and a 101-horsepower electric motor. There are two modes: One is called Preserve EV, and the other is called Pure EV. Preserve EV is able to charge the battery up to 75 percent using the engine while driving, whereas Pure EV is designed to keep the car in electric-only mode. YouÂ’ll get blue accents in the Lincoln star if you buy the plug-in hybrid, too. Some cool headlight technology is coming to the Aviator in the form of optional adaptive pixel LED headlights. Lincoln says itÂ’s capable of speed-dependent lighting, which adjusts the beam based on your speed. At fast speeds, Lincoln says more light is directed at the road, while driving at low speeds disperses it wider to cover more area directly in front of the vehicle. WeÂ’ll be driving the new Aviator soon, so look out for our first drive impressions coming later this month.

2021 Lincoln Navigator Review | The new land yacht

Fri, Nov 6 2020

The 2021 Lincoln Navigator is true American luxury done in a distinct and proper fashion. It’s LincolnÂ’s flagship product with the highest level of opulence and glamour that a truck can possibly offer. The Navigator isn't just a dressed-up F-150 or Expedition with makeup on, either. ThereÂ’s still mechanically related to that pair with a truck chassis riding on an independent rear suspension hiding underneath, but everything above is pure, luxe bliss. YouÂ’d be hard pressed to find elements missing from the NavigatorÂ’s formula in this latest generation of the SUV that came out in 2018. The interior is elegance turned up to the max with a design that evokes old-world charm while fully embracing modernity. ItÂ’s not trying to be youthful or edgy. Instead, the Navigator exudes a quiet, grown-up confidence that looks expensive and high class. It brings the guests to the table by adopting its own language of classical luxury, then keeps them there with the tech and capability we expect in a truck approaching a six-figure price. Three rows, two different lengths, one seriously powerful engine and truck-level towing capacity makes the Navigator a heady choice for the luxury truck buyer who wants to do everything with one big vehicle. WhatÂ’s new for 2021? Changes for 2021 consist of new paint colors and minor equipment adjustments. Lincoln has added Asher Gray, Flight Blue, Green Gem and Signature Navy to the paint options. But itÂ’s also deleted Iced Mocha, Silver Jade, Blue Diamond and Rhapsody Blue. Both the limited-slip differential and heavy-duty trailer tow package have also been made standard on the Black Label. WhatÂ’s the interior and in-car technology like? The standard and Reserve Navigators are mighty luxurious on their own (including the interior shown in the top two photos above), but if you step up to an expensive Black Label trim, youÂ’re in for an absolute treat. Its interior offers a choice of “Themes” that go far beyond the usual color choices of black, beige and gray, with maybe a different wood type or two. Of the three, "Chalet" is the most conventional with its blend of tan and black, but the oxblood red "Destination" (above bottom-left) and cool blue "Yacht Club" (above bottom-right) are unlike anything offered by another brand (OK, maybe you could special order a Bentley or Rolls-Royce).

Chief designer for Lincoln Aviator SUV is brand's new design director

Fri, Sep 27 2019

The man behind the looks of cars like the 50th anniversary 2015 Ford Mustang, the current-generation Lincoln Continental and the luxury division’s new 2020 Aviator SUV is LincolnÂ’s newest design director. Kemal Curic replaces David Woodhouse, who left earlier this year and is now a vice president overseeing design at Nissan and Infiniti. Curic, 41, was born in Sarajevo and grew up in Germany and Croatia. He began his career with Ford of Europe in 2003 after earning a bachelorÂ’s degree in industrial design and a masterÂ’s in transportation design in Germany. There, he worked on the European version of the Fiesta, the Mondeo (the European version of the Fusion) and the Kuga compact SUV. aviator-4 View 38 Photos In 2010, Curic won a global sketch competition Ford created to pick a designer for the 50th anniversary Mustang. He moved to FordÂ’s headquarters in Dearborn, where he joined the design team for the 2015 Ford Mustang, which won the EyesOn Design award for Best Production Vehicle at the 2014 Detroit auto show. Curic became exterior design manager in 2014 for the reborn Lincoln Continental sedan, then lead the overhaul of the brandÂ’s design language. He became chief designer for the three-row Aviator, which debuted at the 2018 L.A. Auto Show, and he served a lead exterior designer on the all-new 2020 Corsair, LincolnÂ’s compact crossover that was formerly known as the MKC. In an interview earlier this month with Truck Trend, Curic talked about how the midsize Aviator exemplifies LincolnÂ’s new design ethos. “This is the anti-wedge, which is very elegant,” he said. “If you think about cars of the 1960s, they had that exuberant attitude with more anti-wedge than most vehicles today. Think about the angle of attack of an airplane. You have this gliding gesture, sort of leaning back. The anti-wedge, a teardrop shape, is also the most optimized shape for aerodynamics.” Curic has said he was captivated by American cars as a child growing up in Europe, and he told Truck Trend that he grew up doodling cars in his notebooks at school, which sometimes got him in trouble and made his parents worry. HeÂ’ll reportedly split his time between Dearborn and LincolnÂ’s design studio in Irvine, California, where he lives with his family.
