1967 Lincoln Continental Base 7.6l on 2040-cars

Year:1967 Mileage:48000

I have a 1967 Lincoln to sell.  The car is 75% restored. It does have a newer paint job.  The transmission is a C-6 and has been overhauled have a receipt for that and every thing frankly. If you name a part on this car its either been repaired or rebuilt, and I have the documentation to back that up. It runs and drives down the road great. It has new manifolds with new exhaust. The heads were done, new rings, gaskets, brakes, brake lines I mean everything. Tires are like new just old from sitting in the garage, but have the receipt for them as well. I have good documentation on the car, pictures of what it looked like prior to the recent paint job. I even have the owners manual. I have over 10K in receipts for work done to the car. I can email them to a serious buyer!  This is just a brief description, below are the flaws that I have no problem talking about and sending pictures etc if needed.

Here is my personal list of things that I feel need to be done for the car to be complete.

1. Front turn signals need to be repaired or replaced.

2. Rear back up lights, I only have one lens for them.

3. The drivers window rolls down the rest don't.  I believe it to be a resister, I have a receipt from the late 90's that says they were all replaced and brought back to working condition.  I said receipt from the late 90's, the 10K plus I have in receipt's does not include the older ones.  If I added those all up it would be over 15K.  The engine, trans, and paint work was all done in the last couple of years. Just kept investing into the car as money came in, but have to get rid of as my passion and dream of this car is not going to happen as I have a family and I need to let it go.

4. It needs a turn signal flasher, they only work on drivers side.

5. Interior and carpet needs to be completely replaced, the carpet kit is $150.00 on eBay.

6. Paint Cowl and gas tank cover.  I have a quarter gallon of paint to go with the car from the body shop.  $2500.00 was paid down to paint the car and the auto body shop went out of business and they did not take the doors off, or paint the cowl or gas tank cover.  The work was done professionally and looks great.  I'm just representing the car as it is not trying to hide anything.  It would not take much at all to complete.  Body lines are straight, as seen in the pictures I provided.  The 2500.00 put down is not included in the 10 K in receipt's I have.

7. Drivers side rear Door panel is pretty rough

8.  The only rust I can spot on this car is a soft spot on the drivers side floor panel.  It is the size of a half dollar and can easily be replaced when the carpet is.

That is it, those are the flaws of the car and yes I have over 10K in recent work done.  Just needs some more time and money and it can be 110%.  If there are more questions please ask and I can provide pictures at request as well.  The car is not full of bondo and has no hidden rust, it has been well taken car of through its life.  I have a lot of paperwork on the car.  Please do not low ball me or waste my time.

Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.

Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.

2015 Lincoln MKC

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

Back in 2012, Lincoln claimed its comeback bid was finally underway with the new-for-2013 MKZ. But don't you believe them - the renaissance won't actually begin in earnest until the shapely compact crossover seen here reaches showrooms in big numbers. That's because while the four-door MKZ was indeed a proper step toward rebirth, the 2015 MKC is the first wholly conceived vehicle under Lincoln as a standalone brand, a move first announced back in 2012.
That's an important distinction, because Lincoln's newfound emancipation from Ford's design and development processes has given the struggling marque both the corporate wherewithal and the will to develop a more fully formed product. The four-wheeled result seen here is a surprisingly cohesive luxury CUV, one with significantly more aesthetic and dynamic separation from its Ford Escape sibling than the MKZ and its Fusion counterpart. Said another way, after flogging Lincoln's latest for hundreds of miles over canyon roads outside of Santa Barbara, we've come to understand that this is far from a re-grilled Dearborn special with luxury tinsel - it's a bona fide standalone product that readily displays the sort of clear differentiation seen in platform cousins like the Audi Q5 and the Volkswagen Tiguan. It's the real deal.
