Up for consideration is my blue 1966 convertible. it has been driven very little in the the last couple decades.
I have owned this car since last summer. I am selling because I need to make room for my other projects. Details...... It has the 462 engine in it. it runs and drives and stops. no signs of leaks on the driveway under it. It has been road tested, but not on the Highway. would recommend it to be hauled. It will drive up easy on a flatbed. I think with a new or rebuilt carb this would be a great reliable running car. I have had fun driving it this fall. The interior is a bit dirty. I think it would clean up well. it has factory air. I think it works but needs a recharge. the top is in good working order. works at both button and key switches.( very cool) will need new top .(starting to rip on the back) clock and radio work. Windows need some work. I have not tried to mess with them much! new tires extra wide white walls new battery. the paint looks very original. I think it looks neat as survivor paint, but it could be redone it shows some wear has some areas with surface rust.It also has a couple of small areas that have bubbles in the paint. the Metal on driverside rear quater panel is getting thin. It needs some work. this was from California then was in Virginia for about 20 years than Michigan. very solid car. I think this is about a #4 or a low #3 condition according to condition guide I am familiar with. Clear title. sold as is. no paypal !! cash or other means of payment till it clears. Best offer!! Lincoln dealers frustrated over slow MKZ production ramp-up
Tue, 12 Feb 2013Lincoln has clearly been working hard to get the word out about its 2013 MKZ sedan. The Dearborn automaker has taken out lavish spreads to trumpet its boldly styled new model in magazines of every description, along with placing commercials for both the vehicle and the reborn brand behind it on all manner of television programs, including the super-costly Super Bowl earlier this month.
Pity, then, that Lincoln dealers don't have enough MKZs to sell. According to The Detroit News, parent company Ford has spent a good portion of its time at this week's National Automobile Dealers Association meeting in Florida attempting to pacify upset dealers who don't have enough examples of the pivotal new vehicle in stock.
As the DetNews notes, Lincoln only sold 453 MKZs last month, a whopping 73-percent decrease over the same period last year when the sedan's predecessor was on sale. In fact, the stunted supply had enough impact that Lincoln's January figures worked out to a 32-year low for the brand, just as it's trying to get back on its feet. This, despite the fact that the MKZ is said to have the biggest number of pre-orders in the marque's history.
Lincoln takes to the Super Bowl with Twitter schizophrenia
Fri, 01 Feb 2013Lincoln has officially pulled off the wraps on its ad for this year's Super Bowl. As you may recall, the company invited people to send in their tweets to help craft the spot's story line with Jimmy Fallon in the director's chair. The company chose five tweets and ran with them, and the result is, well, about as focused as your average online comment thread. We do get plenty of shots of the all-new Lincoln MKZ, as well as at least one comment on the interior leather's suppleness.
Do we learn a single thing about the brand's new honey? Nope. But there's a turtle crossing, a band of bikers, a German farming student and herd of alpacas. Mostly, the ad just makes us tired. Ford recalling 830,000 vehicles to replace side door latches
Thu, Aug 4 2016The Basics: Ford is conducting a recall for roughly 830,000 models. The affected vehicles include the 2013 to 2015 Ford C-Max, 2012 to 2015 Ford Focus, 2013 to 2015 Ford Escape, 2015 Lincoln MKC, 2015 Ford Mustang, and 2014 to 2016 Ford Transit Connect. The recall is focused primarily in Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, California, Arizona, Hawaii, Georgia, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, Washington, and Oregon as the problem mostly affects cars in states with warm weather. The Problem: The pawl spring tab in the side door latch in the affected vehicles could break, preventing the door from latching and could even cause the door to open while driving. Injuries/Deaths: There is one reported injury and one reported accident. The Fix: Dealers will replace the affected cars' side door latches. If you own one: Reach out to your local Ford dealer to schedule a service.
