A Stunning Cruising Car!

This car has been in dry, rodent-free storage for more than 15 years. We bought this car two years ago and have done extension mechanical work on it including:

  • New power convertible top with real glass rear window
  •  Complete mechanical review
  •  Power steering box rebuilt

The car is yellow with a black convertible top and interior. The interior is original and in great shape, no cracks for cuts in the leather.

It’s equipped with one of GM’s most reliable engines, 462 cu in with 4-barrel carburetor that has only 89,000 miles on it. Some of the options on this car are:

  • Factory air conditioning;
  • 50/50 split front bench seat;
  • Power windows that all work; and
  • Power convertible top with real glass rear window that works!

The bright work on this car is outstanding. The bumpers and all chrome are in excellent condition and sparkle in the sun. The car is dent and ding free, and appears to have no rust.

Very reliable car that gives you the power of a muscle car and the pleasure of a convertible.

More on this car

These cars have been doing nothing but climb in value and popularity based on their incredible lines and the fact that they have been seen on television and in the movies. These cars are nothing short of incredible to drive and enjoy. It is a large car with a fully automated convertible top and suicide doors. Take the whole family or friends on a trip down memory lane or out for ice cream!

For 1966, the Lincoln Continental was given a wheelbase that measured four-inches larger than the previous year's platform. They were again well optioned with an automatic transmission, power seats, power steering, front disc brakes, power windows, windshield washer, and carpeting. The Continental was available as a four-door sedan, four-door convertible or a 2-door hardtop coupe. With a wheelbase that measured 126-inches, there was plenty of interior room, with seating for six.

Other noticeable styling changes for 1966 including the return of the turn signals to the bumper. The bumpers now extended to the front tire openings. The taillights no longer wrapped around the rear fenders, which marked the first time this occurred in five years for the Lincoln

The most popular body style was the sedan, which saw 35,809 examples sold. The rarest is the convertible, which saw a mere 3,180 units sold. 15,766 customers selected the hardtop coupe as their mode of transportation at a factory base price of $5,485. The Sedan sold for $7,750 while the Convertible retailed for $6,380. Nearly every car that left the factory was fitted with the optional air conditioner - a $500 option.

Lincoln Corsair reportedly getting a PHEV among three engine options

Tue, Feb 19 2019

What's a Lincoln Corsair, again? That would be the forthcoming replacement for the current Lincoln MKC compact crossover, and we know little about it besides its name change and the fact it'll be related to the also-redesigned Ford Escape. However, The Truth About Cars says it saw paperwork Ford filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration detailing Corsair powertrain options. These VIN decoder documents reportedly indicate three available engines, including, most notably, a plug-in hybrid. TTAC, which didn't post the documents, indicates the hybrid's heart will be a 2.5-liter Duratec four-cylinder – such an engine currently power base models of the Ford Escape and Fusion. All-electric driving range is unknown, but the Fusion Energi can go 25 miles, and crossover competitors do anywhere from 22 to 26 miles on EV power. What we do know is that all PHEV Corsairs will come with AWD. This would be the first time we've seen mention of a Lincoln Corsair plug-in hybrid, but the idea isn't far fetched. The new Lincoln Aviator will offer a plug-in hybrid version, and we know there's a traditional hybrid version of the related Ford Escape crossover on the way. Spy shots of that vehicle from earlier this month didn't show the plug-in port where Ford likes to put it, on the left front fender. We expect a different powertrain in that model and we also wouldn't be surprised if there's an Escape PHEV as well. The other two powertrains will reportedly be the MKC's 2.0-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder as the base, with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost continuing to be an optional upgrade. TTAC also says the VIN document indicates that trim configurations have changed to simply offering standard and Signature trims (from the MKC's standard, Select, Reserve, and Black Label levels). This is hard to believe given that every other Lincoln offers a Black Label and is usually the model featured in promotions and official photography. There's still a lot to be learned about the Lincoln Corsair, including whether these VIN documents are accurate. We expect to know more later in the year. Given that the Lincoln Aviator was shown before its Ford Explorer sibling, we wouldn't be surprised if the Corsair made its official introduction first. Related Video:

The Rolls-Royce Dawn leads this month's list of discounts

Wed, Jul 8 2020

If you're one of the few readers of this site who is in the market for a $350,000 Rolls-Royce Dawn, well, first of all, good for you. And you should be prepared to keep some extra money in your pocket, too, as the drop-top Roller leads this month's list of the largest monetary discounts with an average of $14,733 taken off the machine's $359,250 sticker price. That means buyers are paying an average transaction price of $344,517 for the 2020 Rolls-Royce Dawn this month, according to data provided to Autoblog by TrueCar, which equals about 4.1% off the price on the sticker. An intriguing pair of supercars land in second and third positions this month. The 2019 Acura NSX is selling for an average of $145,174 this month, which represents a 9% discount, or $14,373. With an eerily similar 9% discount of $14,079 comes the 2020 Aston Martin Vantage, which has an average transaction price of $142,002 this month. The Maserati Quattroporte is up next with an average discount of $13,634. Another Rolls-Royce model lands in the fifth spot, but instead of the aging Dawn it's the brand-new Cullinan SUV. Although the luxury 'ute boasts a large discount of $12,427, its staggeringly high retail price of $332,750 means buyers are getting a little less than 4% off the sticker. More interesting to most buyers will be the 2019 Lincoln Navigator, which is one of our favorite full-size SUVs in America. Buyers of Lincoln's range-topping vehicle are getting average discounts of $11,761. That represents a 13.4% savings for a final price of $75,940.
