Video and images may take a minute to load, but must see...

This is the one you've been waiting for!  You will never find another like this, so don't let it pass you by.  Stand out from all the Camaros and Mustangs and 57 Chevys.  This car steals the show every time.  Even at shows with hundreds of cars, you are likely to have the only convertible Lincoln there.  There are probably less than 100 of these left on the road in the entire world, and not one as nice and unique as this.
I'll let the pictures and video do most of the talking.  Feel free to call or email with any questions.  This car starts, runs, drives, stops, etc perfectly with no issues at all.  No leaks or ticks or rattles.  I drive it often and have never had any problems.  All the lights work as they should.  All the interior lights work.  Even the clock works!  All of the windows go up and down smoothly as they should.  All of the original window switches are there and working properly (rare for these cars).  The top works as it should and everything lines up nicely.  The top even has a remote that works from 100+ft away.  Since even the trunk lid and latches are power, you can completely open and close the top with the remote.  This car already draws crowds, but when the top starts going by itself people are mesmerized.  It's really something to watch.  I have original Lincoln wheels if you'd rather have them, just let me know.  The aftermarket stereo with mp3 jack etc was installed in a way that it is easily removable along with all the speakers.  I can also remove all that if you'd like so the car is more original.  I would drive this car from here to California without hesitation, so you can fly in and drive it home with confidence.  If you want to ship it I am very flexible and will help in any way I can.  I'll drive it to an airport or shipping company within 50 miles if needed.  I recommend anyone interested to come see it in person, but be forewarned, you will fall in love.  The car is located just north of Orlando, FL.  Email or call Nathan at 407-792-994four.  Thanks for looking.

2017 Lincoln Continental spied on the inside

Fri, Dec 18 2015

We just saw the lightly camouflaged exterior of the 2017 Lincoln Continental a few days ago, and a new set of spy shots now give us an even better look inside the upcoming luxury sedan. Where the outside largely brings the concept's design to the road, the production interior shows far more compromises. Rather than the expanse of blue leather and Alcantara upholstery, Lincoln's stylists tone things down with a mostly black cabin. While less overwhelming than on the showcar, there's still no shortage of chrome because strips of the shining metal outline nearly every surface. Wood accents also help add some visual interest. The general cabin layout remains close to the concept. The infotainment system gets prime position near the top of the center stack, and the buttons for the transmission sit vertically on the left side of the screen. The design then flows to an angled console that features physical controls for things like the radio and HVAC. These photos provide another view at the nearly undisguised exterior, too. The Lincoln emblem at the front is chrome on this test car, and you can now spot more shining trim underneath the grille. Also look close for a better view of the door handles along the beltline. We expect the full reveal of the production Continental at the Detroit Auto Show in January. Related Video:

GM design boss Welburn says Lincoln isn't a Cadillac rival [w/poll]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

General Motors Vice President of Global Design, Ed Welburn, had some dismissive words for a certain cross-town luxury brand during an interview with Car and Driver. When asked about his thoughts on Lincoln, Welburn deflected, before saying, "I don't consider Lincoln to be a competitor for Cadillac."
"They're not a global luxury brand. I don't consider them a competitor. Are they a competitor for Buick? Quite possibly. But not for Cadillac," GM's head designer explained. Welburn, who's been at the helm of GM Design North America since 2003 and is the first to hold the position of VP of Global Design, has been instrumental in the styling renaissance at GM, so predictably, Car and Driver's interview with him focused on the design aspect of cars.
During the interview, Welburn explicitly denied plans for a reborn Cadillac XLR, even as a new Chevrolet Corvette is hitting the market and strides are being made with Cadillac's V-Series performance arm saying, "We have a lot of cars that we're working on for the Cadillac brand. The XLR is not one of them right now."

Tesla offered nuclear plant in France, and more | Autoblog Minute

Longtime GM design chief Ed Welburn retires, Lincoln says it has high customer interest in Continental, and could Tesla build the Model 3 in France? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] General Motors' long time Vice President of design, Ed Welburn, announced his retirement this week. He joined GM in 1972 and he's just the sixth design chief in GM's 108 years. He's being replaced by Michael Simcoe who is Vice President of design for GM's international operations. Now Ed Welburn's time at GM dates back to when he was 11 years old. He wrote a letter to the company saying he wanted to be a designer. [00:00:30] Someone at General Motors got back to him and the rest is history. Lincoln already has 40,000 hand raisers for the new Continental. Now those aren't Tesla figures but it's still a very healthy number and shows a lot of interest for its new flagship sedan. The Continental will replace the MKS in Lincoln's lineup. Continental will be in showrooms this fall and it will offer a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo with 400 HP. Lincoln President Kumar Galhotra said, "No other Lincoln vehicle has [00:01:00] generated this much interest in this little time." This week in Tesla news, Reuters reports that a French government official has offered Elon Musk the site of a an old nuclear reactor to build a car factory. The reactor, which is located in the Alsace region of France, is set to close at the end of this year. Now this notion is not that far fetched. Musk says that he would consider it. Meanwhile demand for the Model 3 continues to be strong and has attracted hundreds of thousands of hand raisers. [00:01:30] Those are the highlights form the week that was.
