1956 Mark Project W/ All Parts Air Conditioned Plus 3 More Cars In Lot on 2040-cars
Poolesville, Maryland, United States
1956 Mark II Complete Project Car with Factory Air (Parts Cars Available) **I have recently reduced the price. We have four cars in a lot and are taking parts from each to make one the 2 best possible. Please call me for more information at (301) 672-1000.** All rare parts will come with this car, it just needs to be restored and put together. Once that is done, this car would be 98% complete. I purchased a package of parts, and there are enough parts for 2 complete cars. We have a burgundy Mark II that is the best car out of the 4 total in the lot. Best because it is an AC car and restorable. The second best car is a NON AC car. This Listing is for the Burgundy car that is pictured in the auction. I am planning on giving it all of the best parts, then when it is sold put together the next best car (non ac) good body. The cars can be stored for free for 90 days and currently inside except the 2 tone car is outside now. Call for more information at (301) 672-1000 Key Points about this Car:
Key points on the 2 tone car (seen in the last 2 pictures) - sitting outside, can be restored, not really a parts car.
I cannot guarantee that you will have every single nut and bolt for this burgundy Continental , but I am aware of the rare parts on this car. They will be included. You will have to source the reproduction parts yourself. You may still want to upgrade the parts that come with the car with a reproduction part. Unfortunately, this car is a basket case, but there are very few of these left to restore. That is why I purchased this collection. I have a '57 Continental to restore and I understand how important it is to get a complete car. I may be able to deliver this car to your door as well. Please call (301) 672-1000 for more information on delivery locations. |

Ford will keep Escape and MKC plant open an extra week to meet demand
Thu, Jun 8 2017Crossovers keep selling like popular pastries, and for Ford, that means it needs to keep production going. The company announced that, rather than the usual two-week shutdown, its Louisville, Ky., assembly plant will be open for one of those weeks. The plant builds the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC, which Ford reports have had record sales. According to Ford, Escape sales through May are up 3 percent, and MKC sales are up 10 percent compared with last year. In total, the Escape has sold about 130,000 units through May, and the MKC has sold around 11,000. Keeping the Louisville plant open will allow the company to build an additional 8,500 vehicles. Ford stated that all other assembly plants will continue with the two-week shutdown as scheduled. 2018 Lincoln Navigator vs luxury SUV rivals: How it compares on paper
Wed, Nov 8 2017The all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator is an impressive, luxury-lined beast. However, while its Black Label interior stood out most during our first drive of the new Navigator, it also seemed pretty clear that much of this full-size SUV was superior to the competition in a number of fundamental ways. Its Raptor-sourced 3.5-liter V6 had class-leading power for one, and its third-row seat seemed as spacious and comfortable as its rivals' are cramped and barely usable. To search for your next new vehicle, try Autoblog' s Car Finder. Yet, I wanted to take a closer look at how the Navigator fully compares on paper to its competitors - especially the Cadillac Escalade with which it most directly competes. The below spreadsheet should tell the whole story, but as you can see, there's an awful lot of class-leading green highlighter in the Navigator's column. The cargo volume and third-row legroom numbers are particularly telling, with the latter actually going up to 42.3 inches when you slide the second-row fully forward. Now, a few things to note about the above spreadsheet. The GLS-Class is also available as the GLS 550, which boasts a 4.7-liter V8 that just comes up short to the Navigator with 449 horsepower but has to deal with only 5,578 pounds. Its $94,950 price tag is comparable to the Navigator Black Label. Much of the LX 570's information is also applicable to the Toyota Land Cruiser, which, badge aside, could certainly be considered a member of this segment given its feature content and still-hefty price tag. It has better ground clearance and approach/departure angles than its Lexus sibling, along with an as-indicated lower price. Much of the Escalade's information also applies to the GMC Yukon Denali, while the Infiniti QX80 is applicable to the Nissan Armada. Matthew McConaughey dusts off his Lincoln Lawyer jacket [w/videos]
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Alright, alright, alright. Easygoing Texan Matthew McConaughey has enjoyed a career renaissance recently with critically acclaimed roles in Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective, and the actor has just signed a multi-year deal with Lincoln to become the luxury brand's spokesperson. The first ads starring McConaughey should hit televisions and the internet soon.
McConaughey's campaign has his pitching starting out with the company's pivotal new 2015 Lincoln MKC compact crossover. "Lincoln is an iconic, American brand and I like where they are heading with their transformation," he said in the announcement of the deal. The appears to be really throwing some money into these ads, too. Not only has it hired A-list talent in front of the camera, Nicolas Winding Refn, best known for Drive, is directing the spots.
Of course, this won't be McConaughey's first noteworthy ride in a Lincoln. Back in 2011, he starred in The Lincoln Lawyer, a legal thriller about at attorney would did business out of a 1980s Town Car. The MKC should certainly prove to be a much better driver than that.
