Up for sale is this super clean 2003 Lincoln Towncar Signature Series. This vehicle is immaculate and has a Black exterior with gray leather interior. The leather seats are in perfect condition and they are also fully powered, lumbar powered, and heated as well.  This is a very rare option to find in these cars. This Lincoln just turned 43k miles (which is extremely low for this year) and it runs and drives fantastically. This is a really nice, super clean, well maintained car and probably the cleanest Lincoln Town Cars on ebay. The drive is so smooth and quiet, its like driving a new luxury sedan.
This vehicle was very well taken cared of and it shows. This vehicle needs nothing but a new caring owner and a new home. The previous owner never smoked in this car and the vehicle was always garaged kept by the same elderly couple since the vehicle was new. The vehicle was also just fully detailed and its ready for its next owner to love it the same way the previous owner did. This vehicle is also accident-free and has a clean autocheck report and is a ONE OWNER vehicle.
This Lincoln is loaded up with every possible option That could have been ordered. It has the signature series package, leather heated seats, power seats with lumbar option, glass moonroof, custom carriage roof, rear parking sensors, in-dash CD player, upgraded optional Alpine stereo, power adjustable pedals, Premium alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, on-board computer system, digital control panel, factory alarm, traction control, powerful V8 engine, premium package, power windows, power locks, cruise control, steering wheel controls, power mirrors, auto leveling suspension, and everything you could possibly want.
This Lincoln comes with 3 original Lincoln Keys (two master keys and the valet key) and two remote key fobs as well. We also have all the original owners manuals and booklets including the original build sheet and bill of sale, all the floor mats for the vehicle, the unused spare tire and jack, and the complete tool kit as well. Its all here!
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is reliable and runs like a dream. The car has nice matching Michellin tires all around with plenty of tread remaining. The previous owner just installed a brand new battery as well. We have driven it 500 miles and it seems to be running and driving 100%. We changed all the motor and transmission fluids and the vehicle has good brakes, good rotors, and new windshield wiper blades.
The exterior of the vehicle is super clean. The body panels are all perfect and the paintwork is in nice shape. The paint is glossy and the vehicle looks like its only a couple of years old. The exterior is in above average condition and near mint. There is no real flaws to point out on the exterior at all. Its just a great vehicle and its looks fantastic. The paint and all body panels are straight and original.
The interior of the vehicle is super clean. The seats are in great condition and the leather is supple and clean. The dash and door panels are also in perfect condition and clean.  All the trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition. The interior is in fantastic condition in my opinion. The interior was just completly detailed recently! There is nothing to pick on with this car. It looks 100% better then it does in the photos.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. I know a transport company that can ship the vehicle anywhere domestically for great discounted rates! A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. I do drive this vehicle daily, so the mileage on the vehicle may be slightly higher at the end of the auction. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns.  Thanks and good luck bidding!

The 1965 Ford Mustang could have looked a lot different

Fri, May 8 2020

The 1965 Ford Mustang is unquestionably an automotive design icon, and nearly every generation of Mustang has some connection to that original car. Because it's such a universally-known vehicle, we were amazed to see all the different designs that were being considered. Head of Ford's archives Ted Ryan recently shared photos of design proposals for the original Mustang on Twitter that he and Jamie Myler found, and we reached out to them to find out more. As Ryan initially noted, the photos were taken on August 19, 1962, and they are proposals for the Ford Mustang. Apparently Ford had committed to doing a Falcon-based youth-oriented car at this point, and it did have plans to launch the car in 1964 for the 1965 model year. But after having little success with early design proposals, the company asked all of its design studios — the Advanced Studio, Lincoln-Mercury Studio and Ford Studio — to submit proposals. With only about two years before the planned launch, Ford was understandably short on time, and it's believed that the studios only had a month to create and present these designs. Lincoln-Mercury design proposal View 8 Photos The majority of the designs, a total of five, came from the Advanced Studio, and part of this was because they already had a couple of concept designs in reserve it could present. Two other models representing three design possibilities came from Lincoln-Mercury, and just one model with two options came from Ford. The Advanced Studio proposals are shown in the gallery at the very top of this article, and the Lincoln-Mercury and Ford proposals are in the gallery directly above this paragraph. The Advanced Studio's most radical design is the one that was clearly related to the Mustang I concept that would be shown later that year with huge wraparound rear glass, turbine-inspired bumpers and enormous side scoops. The other proposals from the studio were more conservative, featuring simple lines, grilles reminiscent of the Falcon, and one even borrowing the jet-thruster-style taillights made famous on the Thunderbird. Lincoln-Mercury had some impressively bold designs, particularly its fastback that had buttresses to extend the shape all the way to the tail. This car had two different side trim possibilities. The other Lincoln-Mercury design was toned down a bit, but had two interesting possibilities for side detailing, as well as some crisp, low-profile tail fins.

MKC Concept is the real fresh start for Lincoln [w/poll]

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

We were admittedly bullish about the Lincoln MKC Concept when we introduced it to you yesterday, as we were taken aback by how cohesive the C-platform crossover is in the metal. As it turns out, so were you, dear reader. With hundreds of comments booked on our original Deep Dive story, the overwhelming temperature of the Autoblog Commenteriat is one of surprise and delight - quite an accomplishment for a marque that many had written off for dead. The reception here under the bright lights of the Detroit Auto Show appears to be no less positive, but we thought you might want a second, closer look afforded by these live photos.
Lincoln remains mum on production MKC drivetrain specifics (we're thinking it will start with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder out of its similarly sized Ford Escape relative, or maybe the midlevel 1.6-liter), but we shouldn't have to wait too long. The showcar is expected to closely mirror the production model (due as early as later this year), so much so that Ford global marketing boss Jim Farley explicitly told the press conference masses, "When you see the MKC, do not think concept." That's good news, as the MKC is pivotal to Lincoln's effort to rebuild awareness and consideration on the back of its MKZ sedan, a model just now going on sale. In fact, with the small crossover segment exploding, the MKC could very well turn out to be more important to the brand than the MKZ.
After seeing these new photos, are you more or less enamored with Lincoln's new concept? Leave a comment after voting in our poll below.

Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

After the horrible weather last winter, it's hard to look forward for the season to return this year. For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.
