I HAVE UP FOR AUCTION AN ABSOLUTELY NEAR FLAWLESS 79 COLLECTOR SERIES TOWN CAR IN WHITE WITH A GORGEOUS BLUE CLOTH INTERIOR. THIS CAR IS SHOWING 22,512 MILES ON THE ODOMETER AND TO TELL THE TRUTH, IT COULD PASS FOR THAT MILEAGE, BUT I AM REASONABLY SURE THAT IT IS 122,512 MILES. THE CHROME TRIM ON THIS CAR IS LIKE IT ALL,INCLUDING THE BUMPERS, JUST CAME OUT OF NOS BOXES! NO PITTING, NO CRAZING, NO AGE SPOTS!! JUST INCREDIBLE CHROME. EXCEPT FOR A SMALL DENT ON THE RIGHT REAR BUMPER END, THE CHROME IS PERFECT! THE ORIGINAL PAINT IS THE SAME WITH THE EXCEPTION  OF THE RIGHT REAR DOOR WHICH WILL BE PICTURED. THIS CAN BE REPAIRED BY A PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR PERSON. THE VINYL ROOF IS ORIGINAL AND AS NEW WITH A BEAUTIFUL MOON ROOF THAT WORKS FLAWLESSY. THE INTERIOR SEATS AND CARPETS AS WELL AS THE PLUSH TRUNK CARPETS  ARE AS NEW. THIS WAS PURCHASED FROM THE GRANDSON OF A COUPLE THAT WERE BOTH RECENTLY DISEASED!. THANK GOD, I GOT IT BEFORE HE HAD A CHANCE TO TEAR IT UP.

THIS IS AN UNRESTORED AND RARE CALIFORNIA CAR! NEVER ANY RUST! THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED AND PROPERLY MAINTAINED TO BE IN THIS CONDITION. AT 122,512 MILES, THAT IS AN AVERAGE OF ONLY 3,500 MILES  A YEAR! BESIDES, NOBODY ELSE HAS TO KNOW THE MILEAGE  HAS A PLUS 100K , BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE WHAT IT SAYS! I HAD THE CAR PROFESSIONALLY CLAYED, THE VINYL TOP CLEANED AND TREATED. THE INTERIOR  & TRUNK WERE SHAMPOOED! I SWEAR THIS CAR LOOKS LIKE A LOW MILEAGE SURVIVOR THE ENGINE WAS ONLY PRESSURE WASHED AND LOOKS ORIGINAL AND BEAUTIFUL. THE UNDERSIDE HAS NEVER BEEN UNDERCOATED OR SPRAYED  BLACK TO "FRESHEN" IT  UP. DO YOU REALIZE HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO DETAIL THE UNDERNEATH WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN UNDERCOATED OR SPRAYED BLACK. TRY IMPOSSIBLE!

THE CARS RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A HEAVY LINCOLN LIKE THIS SHOULD. EVERYTHING SEEMS TO WORK PROPERLY INCLUDING THE ICE COLD A/C AND EVEN THE CLOCK. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL AND UNMOLESTED CAR IN TOTALLY ORIGINAL CONDITION. DO SOME MINOR DETAIING AND YOU ARE READY FOR THE NEXT L.C.O.C. MEET!

I HAVE SOME CONNECTIONS WITH TRANSPORTERS IF YOU NEED HELP WITH THAT AND I CAN EVEN GET IT TO THE DOCKS IN L.A. IF AN OVERSEAS BUYER BUYS IT.

YOU WILL BE PLEASED WITH THIS CAR!!!

Ford launches mobile coronavirus test program with partners

Wed, Apr 15 2020

For its latest coronavirus act, Ford has joined forces with a Detroit university, its affiliated physicians group and an Arab-American human services nonprofit to launch a mobile Covid-19 testing program for symptomatic first responders, health care workers and corrections officers in Michigan. Since Monday, Ford has been supplying Lincoln Navigators and drivers from the Lincoln Personal Driver pilot service, both offered through its Ford X in-house incubator. They’re equipped with tents, sanitation, power and Wi-Fi. Partners Wayne State University, the Wayne State University Physician Group and Dearborn-based ACCESS are providing staff and medical kits. The program is billed as an extension of drive-through testing sites operating in Detroit and Dearborn, but capable instead of bringing testing to locations and people who lack access to it. The mobile Navigator test vehicles will be capable of testing up to 100 people per day at no cost, with results returned within 24 to 36 hours. Testing will start at sites in southeast Michigan and then branch out to other parts of the state, including Battle Creek, Lansing and Grand Rapids. Michigan has been a major epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., with 27,001 confirmed cases and 1,768 deaths as of the most current data from Tuesday. The state has been under a stay-at-home order since March 23. With its factories remaining temporarily idled for vehicle production, Ford has kept busy branching out into the fight against the novel coronavirus on multiple fronts. It kicked off production of a waist-mounted, powered air-purifying respirator it designed with 3M on Tuesday, and it plans to begin building ventilators at a plant in Michigan next week. Earlier this week, Ford announced it was helping a supplier that makes airbags use the material instead for reusable medical gowns for health care workers. Employees are also manufacturing protective face masks at its Van Dyke Transmission Plant, plastic face shields at a subsidiary near Detroit and helping a medical device company ramp up production of Covid-19 field testing kits. Lincoln MKC Concept shows real promise [w/video]

Sun, 13 Jan 2013

Ford's efforts to resuscitate its moribund Lincoln luxury brand began in earnest with the introduction of its 2014 MKZ sedan, a model many labeled as the marque's make-or-break offering. Of course, one model does not a comeback make, and with the MKZ just now starting to trickle into dealers, it will be some time before America's jury of consumers comes in with their judgment. More to the point, it's likely to take better than a decade's worth of products and sustained marketing effort to even begin to figure out whether Lincoln has a shot at redemption or if it will die of Mercury poisoning. After all, rival General Motors has been pouring resources into Cadillac since the late '90s, and if the sales charts are any guidance, it's still probably too early to declare its rebirth a success.
Certainly, a brand with Ford's resources, free of distractions (read: the now-defunct Premier Auto Group and various other side projects) should be able to successfully market a single luxury brand, particularly one with such a rich - if distant - history. Especially now with the Blue Oval enjoying more consumer goodwill than at any time in recent history. So let's all give Alan Mulally and friends a little room to work, eh?
We can start by focusing on the compact crossover seen before you, the Lincoln MKC Concept. Riding atop the same global C-platform that underpins the Ford C-Max, Escape and Focus, the MKC showcar here presages a production small CUV that will stick its distinctive nose into one of the auto industry's fastest-growing segments.

2019 Lincoln Navigator gets slight price hikes, crosses six-figure mark

Mon, Aug 20 2018

As of the end of June this year, all-new Lincoln Navigator sales are up by triple digits over last year. No wonder, as Lincoln's flagship has impressed us on both our initial drive and again recently on a 900-mile road trip. Even if numbers slump some between now and the end of the year, the full-sized luxury SUV should achieve sales not seen since 2007, when it sold 24,050 units. That would help explain why the Navigator's already had one price increase this year, in June, when MSRPs across the range went up $500 and the destination charge rose another $100. According to order guides, prices for the 2019 model year will go up even more. The entry-level Premiere trim gets bumped by another $650, while the Reserve trim climbs by $3,500. After the $1,295 destination fee, the 2019 Navigator Premiere starts $74,500, and the Select trim rises by $1,000 to $78,850. Neither of those trims add additional equipment to offset the additional cost. The Reserve price hike to $86,500 does capture the cost of the Technology Package, which will come standard. On the 2018 Navigator, that package, which bundles aids like adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking, is a $2,640 option, so the net price jump for the trim is $860. The Black Label price drifts upward by $2,190 to $97,690, but the 2019 models will throw in 30-way power seats as standard. Those thrones being a $1,250 option on 2018 models, the net increase is then $940. The long-wheelbase L models will all go up by the same amount as their non-L counterparts, which puts the Navigator over the $100K mark for the first time; the 2019 Black Label L will need $100,890 to put in a suitable driveway. That's just $700 less than the list price of the 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV Premium, but Cadillac incentives mean the Lincoln would actually cost thousands more. Lease prices have gone skyward, too. Cars Direct found that in the middle of this year, the average monthly cost for a 36-month lease in California was $1,023, a $131 increase compared to lease prices in February. Two months later, the average monthly cost in California has gone up another eight dollars, to $1,031. That's only $14 less per month than the lease for an Escalade Luxury, even though the Cadillac has a list price $9,500 higher. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
