2007 Lincoln Town Car Executive L model sedan.

291,000 miles but still in service (not used very often)   Mileage will be more at time of auction ending (few thousand at most)
Mechanically the vehicle is excellent.

The OEM intake manifold was switched out (271,000 miles)  to the improved designed Dorman unit. Upper controls arm & tie rods were recently replaced with OEM parts. NEW spark plugs & serpentine belt,  installed at time of manifold replacement.

Tires are very long lasting Firestone FR710's. (installed at 283,000 miles) I have a set on another Town Car, with 73,000 miles on them, and plenty of tread left.
Brake pads were done 12,000 miles ago.
Windshield was replaced at 279,000 miles, but has since connected with a rock etc. (right in the center, about 8 inches from the bottom of windshield)
I will have the chip "fixed" or filled/sealed or whatever it is they call it before transfer.

Battery was replaced last week.

This car glides, very smooth on the road. The ride is better than our newer 2011 model Town Cars.

Oil changes done every 3K to 5K miles. All service's are up to date. Oil will be changed again,  before transfer of vehicle.

The exterior has taken a few knocks. There a several scratches and most noticeably, is a dent on the driver-side front fender.
The interior is clean, but the passengers side/rear carpet has ripped (right where a passenger heals would make contact with carpet)

Rear air vents have been damaged.
Missing one hub cap.
Steering wheel shows wear (never had this happen on a Town Car before)

All lights/bulbs and switches work. Driver door main switch was replaced recently.

Trunk area is very clean, OEM spare tire/tools are present. Included is a bumper protector, for loading/unloading luggage.

Air suspension/compressor is functioning as it should.

The car hasn't been used as much (110,000 miles in the last 2 years) Mainly for early morning airport transfers. My other sedans do 100K/year.

I'd have no issue, loading this car and driving to Florida in the morning.

2018 Ford Expedition spied looking stylish

Tue, Sep 6 2016

The Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator got a cool reception for their 2015 warmed-over redesign. But with big, high-riding vehicles once again in vogue, Ford is pushing ahead with a ground-up redesign of its biggest SUVs. Based on these spy shots, the Expedition will continue to serve as the Navigator's more affordable twin. Yes, that's a bold prediction, considering we still haven't spotted Lincoln testing the new Navigator, but study the greenhouses on this Expedition prototype and the Navigator Concept from New York – from the arrow-straight belt line to the extra-long rear window to the aggressively raked windshield, this Expedition's overall profile is broadly similar to what Lincoln previewed earlier this year. While our spies claim the new Expedition will look to the F-150 for design inspiration, we see a departure from past Expedition tradition. Unlike the supposed Expedition spy shots we showed you nearly a year ago – which was nothing more than an SUV with an F-150's nose grafted on, this prototype's front-end styling looks softer and more aerodynamic, with a smaller grille and headlights, almost like an Escape or Edge. This kind of change would explain the additional front-end camouflage. In back, our spies rightly point out that Ford fitted a faux rear end to disguise the rear window's rake – expect the real thing to feature the angled rear window previewed on the Navigator Concept. Look at the last image in the gallery for a better idea of how the Expedition's rear window will actually look. We can't say a lot about the taillights, because of the camo, but non-LED taillights are present. We'd expect Ford to offer LEDs on higher trim levels. While the F-150's styling might not make the transition to the Expedition, its powertrains and emphasis on lightweight aluminum will. Our spies report the biggest SUV will ride on a new T3 platform and feature an aluminum body, with the F-150's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Expect a ten-speed automatic transmission and start/stop tech for sure, while the smaller 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V6 could slot in as the Expedition's base engine – we're less sure on that one. And we're even more uncertain of the rumors of an Expedition Hybrid. Our spies report it could mate a 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor(s) and battery packs for a more economical full-size SUV. Expect to see the 2018 Expedition debut in January, at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.

SNL, Jim Carrey late to the Lincoln MKC ad spoof party

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

At this point, making fun of the Lincoln MKC ads starring Matthew McConaughey is getting pretty old, though apparently Lincoln loves it. The commercials have been airing for over a month, but Conan O'Brien, Ellen DeGeneres and even South Park have all taken their swipes at the spots with the smooth-talking actor monologuing about his new luxury crossover. Saturday Night Live might have finally killed the joke in its recent episode featuring Jim Carrey.
The problem certainly isn't that Carrey does a bad job in the spoofs, and he actually pulls off a pretty good McConaughey impression. They start out as pretty direct mimicry and slowly evolve into the absurd, including cracks at McConaughey's acting career and the way he rubs his thumb and finger together. Carrey certainly raises at least a chuckle at times, though.
However, the comedian's engaging performance can't take away from the fact that SNL has arriving to this mocking party pretty late in the game. The jokes just don't feel fresh anymore, so hopefully these ads put the final nails in the coffin for the riffs - at least until the next batch of Lincoln ads arrive.

Is this the production version of the Lincoln Zephyr concept?

Fri, Sep 24 2021

Lincoln stepped out of the sedan segment when it ended production of the Continental in late 2020, but it's already planning a comeback. Leaked patent images suggest that the stylish Zephyr concept unveiled at the Shanghai show earlier in 2021 is well on its way to production. Uncovered by Japan's Sun News, the sketches show the outline of an elegant-looking sedan whose proportions match the Zephyr's almost perfectly. It's a three-box sedan with a long wheelbase and an almost fastback-like roof line. Some details tell us we're not merely looking at renderings of the concept, like more realistic headlights, redesigned air intakes in the front bumper, bigger door mirrors, and a reshaped rear bumper. These are the changes we'd expect Lincoln to make in order to turn the concept (pictured below) into a car it can build and sell. Lincoln Zephyr Reflection View 5 Photos Powertrain specifications were not leaked, though we're guessing the sedan will use turbocharged engines sourced from the Ford parts bin. Similarly, we don't know what it looks like inside; the concept's cabin featured a two-spoke steering wheel and an extra-wide screen. Just like the exterior design, the interior was futuristic enough to earn the "concept" label but not to the point where building it wouldn't be feasible. Lincoln hasn't commented on the patent images, but it has already confirmed plans to turn the Zephyr into a production car. The model is scheduled to make its official debut later in 2021, though there's a catch: It will exclusively be sold (and presumably built) in China. As of writing, nothing suggests the firm will add another sedan to its lineup in the United States, where demand for low-riding cars has crashed.
