HELLO EBAY BIDDERS,

HERE I HAVE A 2007 LINCOLN TOWNCAR LIMOUSINE FROM 'FEDRAL COACH'.  THIS LIMO HAS A 5th DOOR, IT  WAS ALWAYS WELL MANTAINED, OIL CHANGES ALWAYS AT 3K WITH ONLY THE BEST FULL SYNTHETIC OIL. I HAVE ALL RECORDS FOR THIS LIMO. THIS LIMO WAS ALWAYS DRIVEN NICELY AND NEVER HAD ACCIDENTS. I BOUGHT THIS LIMO ALONG WITH ANOTHER ONE IN MARCH OF 2010 FROM A COMPANY THAT WAS NOT DOING SO WELL. HE BOUGHT THE LIMO BRAND NEW, SO I AM THE SECOND OWNER. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS LIMO. I ALWAYS MAINTAINED THIS LIMO, ANYTIME IT NEEDED SOMETHING I NEVER WAITED FOR THE LAST MINUTE, I ALWAYS REPAIRED IT QUICK, I DON'T LIKE CARS THAT DO NOT WORK RIGHT. IT HAD A SMALL FENDER BENDER OVER A YEAR AGO, NOTHING MAJOR, . IN APRIL 2013, I PUT BRAND NEW TIRES ALL AROUND, 2 NEW BATTERIES, NEW SECOND ALTERNATOR,   BRAND NEW A/C COMPRESSOR AND ALL PARTS THAT COME WITH IT.   THE LIMO ALWAYS HAD VERY COLD A/C, AND OFTEN PEOPLE SAY THAT IT IS TOO COLD.... ONE DAY I REALIZED THAT THE A/C WAS NOT TOO STRONG, SO I DECIDED TO REPLACE IT INSTEAD OF FIXING IT. I BELIEVE WHEN YOU FIX IT, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THAT PROBLEM COME BACK, SO I CHANGED IT. ALL THE WORK WAS DONE AT A LINCOLN DEALERSHIP IN FORT LAUDERDALE FLORIDA, I ONLY FIX MY CARS AT THE DEALER WHERE THE CAR IS FROM, WHY? WELL BEACUSE THEY HAVE ALL THE PROPER EQUIPMENT AND ALWAYS GIVE A WARRANTY! I NEVER BRING MY LIMOS TO ANY MICKEY MOUSE MECHANIC. THIS LIMO IS IN AWESOME CONDITION AND DRIVES BEAUTIFUL. I MADE GREAT MONEY WITH IT AND I AM SELLING IT BECAUSE I AM BUYING A 2013 CHRYSLERS 300. TO REPLACE IT. I HAVE ANOTHER LIMO THAT I AM SELLING, ITS A TIFFANY BUILDER BLACK ON BLACK. REAL NICE.

I HAVE ALL THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE BIDDING AS I HAVE IT FOR SALE LOCALLY.

Lincoln reveals MKC compact crossover ahead of LA debut [w/video]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

It used to be that if you wanted a luxury SUV, you had to go big. Just look at the first high-riders released by some of the major luxury automakers - Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX - and you'll see what we mean. But since 2009 the small premium crossover segment has grown a whopping 200 percent, so it's no surprise that each has followed up with smaller luxury crossovers. And this is the latest.
At the other end of the utility spectrum from the Navigator, the new Lincoln MKC is based on the Ford Escape (much as the old pseudo-premium Mercury Mariner was), but completely rebodied and luxed up to put it in another league. Although we're still not sold on Lincoln's family fascia, the grille treatment on the MKC is certainly one of the better variations on the theme to date. The Dart-like rear lights dominate the wrap-around tailgate, and the overall shape looks taut and upscale. The same can be said of the dynamically-designed interior, taking the concept revealed in Detroit earlier this year to production fairly seamlessly.
Power will come from a choice of EcoBoost four-cylinder engines with turbocharging and direct injection: a 2.0-liter with 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, or a slightly punchier new 2.3-liter with 275 hp and 300 lb-ft. Lincoln didn't disclose what transmission they'll be mated to, but did note that the MKC carries the brand's "signature" push-button gear shifter. It comes standard in front drive, but buyers who upgrade to all-wheel drive (or tick the right box) will also benefit from a new adaptive suspension Lincoln calls Continuously Controlled Damping. Other features include an approach-detection system that lights the car up and projects a Lincoln "welcome mat" on the pavement when you get close to the car, and a "bread-crumbing" feature that lets you track where your vehicle has been.

J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.

Genesis cars win accolades, offer value — so why are sales so bad?

Tue, Jul 31 2018

My high-school buddy Brent Cormier was so smitten with the Genesis G80 when he saw it at an event I hosted at SXSW in 2016 he bought a used 2013 Hyundai Genesis a short time later and fell in love with the car. "It surpasses my every expectation," said Cormier, a self-described "renaissance man" who owns and runs a real estate agency with his wife Laura, is a food service executive chef and part owner of Austin-based Thin the Herd Guitars. "I was locked into Mercedes and Audi for 10 years," he added. "And felt trapped in an endless pit of maintenance costs." After owning the Genesis over the past two years — including using it as an Uber and Lyft driver to earn extra cash — Cormier learned what some frugal luxury sedan buyers and a handful of car reviewers have discovered: Genesis offers great bang for the buck compared to other premium brands and can compete with the best in terms of performance, features and comfort. Hyundai's luxury brand also earned a prominent third-party endorsement last week when for the first time Genesis topped J.D. Power's 2018 APEAL study, surpassing German luxury-performance icon Porsche. The APEAL study (which stands for Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) "measures owners' emotional attachment and level of excitement across 77 attributes," ranging from performance to comfort, and asks nearly 68,000 owners of new 2018 models to score vehicles on a 1,000-point scale. In its second year ranked as a stand-alone brand, Genesis earned an APEAL score that bumped it up 15 points to 884 and helped push it past Porsche — and past BMW, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, Cadillac, Land Rover and Lexus, in order of ranking. Last month, Genesis also topped J.D. Power's Initial Quality Survey (IQS) for the first time this year. And both its models were awarded Top Safety Pick Plus ratings by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, among 11 Plus ratings in all for Korean vehicles. Despite high J.D. Power rankings and great reviews, Genesis U.S. sales were off 50 percent for the first six months of 2018 compared to 2017, and in June Genesis sold only 796 vehicles — the first time U.S. numbers dropped below 1,000 in a month. Part of Genesis's APEAL and IQS success can be attributed to its small product lineup: just two models, the G80 and G90 sedans, with a third, the 2019 G70, launching later this year. And while those numbers may help in J.D.
