Up for auction is a 1993
Lincoln Town Car that was recently donated to a national charitable foundation
and is being sold with NO
RESERVE. The vehicle is equipped
with a 8cyl engine and automatic transmission. The odometer shows
152,649 miles. It’s fairly well equipped with most of the
options. The seats are tan and appear to be in decent condition,
although a good detail will make a huge difference. The exterior of
the car is gold and is showing signs of wear and is faded. It has a
few door dings and scratches. The tires appear to HAVE ROUGHLY 20%
road life left. Please

This vehicle comes with
a clear California Title and its Registration was valid through
06/14. All taxes, fees, and
penalties due to the DMV, are the responsibility of the buyer. Smog (California Buyers) If you are a California
resident intending on registering this vehicle in the State of California, AND
not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or
a “certificate of
non-compliance” along with the sale. This will allow buyers to pay
the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV
and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the
certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the
buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity. There will be a 50.00 fee added to your total amount.

donated! Therefore we do not have ANY
information regarding the history or condition of the vehicle other than what
we can see. We do not perform any
physical or mechanical inspections on the vehicle. No vehicles are test driven so we cannot
vouch for any drivability nor condition of the motor or transmission unless it
is evident when the vehicle is dropped off.
We can only describe what is evident.

visible or known. We are not responsible
for inaccurate or incomplete descriptions of the vehicle. We make every effort to photograph details,
however, if something is missed or damage is not shown that is not our

Vehicles not paid for in full within three (3) days of end of
auction will be subject to a penalty of $50.00 plus $20.00 PER DAY in storage
fees (storage fees are not negotiable and must be paid prior to release of

Vehicles not paid for within one week of end of auction will
result in buyer’s privileges revoked and vehicle to be relisted on ebay.
We accept cash in person, credit card (Visa and MC only) and
PayPal (up to $1,000.00) only. Cashier’s
checks may be used for payment but vehicle will not be released until cashier’s
check clears (up to three business days).
All cars are sold in AS IS and WHERE IS condition with all faults
– known and unknown, described or not described. Should there be ANY mechanical issues
discovered after the purchase of the vehicle there will be no recourse offered
by the Seller. The Buyer will be 100%
responsible for any problems discovered after the vehicle leaves the lot. Seller makes NO warranties as to the
condition of any vehicle. Descriptions
and photos contained herein may not be accurate and buyer is 100% responsible
for inspecting the vehicle prior to bidding.

NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs
Mon, 11 Mar 2013It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
The Lincoln Way seeks to woo customers with unique services
Tue, Jul 19 2016Lincoln has been fighting hard to shed their image as a luxury brand for the elderly. The company has recently introduced or updated nearly every vehicle in its fleet in order to literally put a new face on the brand. Options, like the Black Label program, attempt to pull influence from high-end automakers that provide services extending beyond scheduled oil changes. Now, Lincoln is introducing a program that it refers to as The Lincoln Way, a suite of customer-oriented services that the company hopes will set it apart from the pack. All of this starts this fall when the new Continental goes on sale. Customers will have access to services like vehicle pickup and drop off and complimentary loaner vehicles. The company is planning more incentives for the future, but details are vague. Lincoln parent Ford is offering similar services on the upcoming GT. The Lincoln Way seems to be an expansion of some services already offered under the Black Label program. Right now, Black Label includes scheduled maintenance, car washes, and concierge services, as well as exclusive vehicle colors and options. The program is pricey and only available on some models in some states, though Lincoln plans on expanding Black Label's reach. In addition to these services, Lincoln is opening a showroom of sorts, called the Lincoln Experience Center, in Newport Beach, California. The facility won't actually sell vehicles. Instead, customers can come and learn about the brand, build and price vehicles, and take test drives. The Experience Center will then put customers in contact with local dealers. Lincoln says the increased focus on customer care and satisfaction draws influence from the company's growth in China. Since the introduction of The Lincoln Way services, sales in China have grown greatly. Sales in the United States, like China, have been improving the past few years. Huge JFK auction includes two classic Lincolns
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Want to own a piece of American history? Perhaps you should consider 35th President John F. Kennedy's limousine, a stretched 1960 Lincoln Continental, or the last car he safely rode in before his assassination, a 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible. Both of them will be up for sale at the Camelot: Fifty Years after Dallas auction on October 24, a JFK 50th anniversary auction in Boston.
The black 1960 Continental was part of the presidential motorcade and is bulletproof. The body has been restored to the tune of about $35,000, according to RR Auctions, but the interior was left alone. That's okay, because the winning bidder will be able to enjoy lounging in the well-preserved seats and stepping on the original tan carpeting, just as President Kennedy did. The next owner can even play President, with a divider window, passenger air controls and a two-way telephone - if a chauffeur is hired, of course. The starting bid for the Continental is $25,000.
The other car is more historically relevant (but in this writer's eye, less beautiful), and commands a starting bid of $50,000. The white, convertible 1963 Continental was the last car President Kennedy rode in before his assassination in Dallas - with a notarized document by the car's owner at the time as proof. It was used to transport the President, his wife, Jacqeuline, and Texas governor John Connally "from a breakfast and speech at the Texas Hotel ballroom through the streets of Fort Worth to Carswell Air Force Base, where they boarded a short flight to Dallas on the morning of November 22, 1963," according to RR Auctions. Lincoln specialist Baker Restoration in Connecticut restored the car, which included an engine replacement, body work and paint. Most of the interior, including the seats, are in original condition.
