1981 Lincoln Town Car Town Coupe. Extremely Rare 2 Door Town Car. Low Mileage! on 2040-cars
Bolingbrook, Illinois, United States
This is one of the rarest Lincolns ever produced. The Town Car Town Coupe for this body style was only produced in 1980-1981. Only 4,935 were ever produced. There is not another 1980-1981 Lincoln Town Car Town Coupe for sale anywhere online currently. Now about this specific Town Car Coupe. It is a 1981 with only 70,300 original miles. It is a Beautiful color combo of what I would call a creamy beige exterior with beige soft top over a beige interior. The paint is original and does show its age a bit. There are some spider lines and chips in the paint. But overall very presentable. No Rust!!! I would say to be a high end show car it would need new paint but that's just my opinion. The quarter soft top is perfect not dried out or cracked at all. All the chrome is flawless. Original turbine style Lincoln wheels are in great shape too. The interior is in amazing shape the velour seats are perfect and so is the carpet no stains or tears or cracks. The dash is perfect no cracks or fading at all. All the wood trim is perfect no cracks or fading. Headliner is great too no tears or stains and is not sagging at all. The trunk is stain and tear free as well. All interior power options work perfect this includes: Power seats, locks, cruise control, all gauges, all lights including auto dimming headlights, horn, and Original Premium Lincoln Surround Sound stereo with height adjustable power antenna. Heat is very hot and blower works at all speed settings. Ac does work but cold could be colder in my opinion, needs recharge I'm sure. The car runs and drives great and I do mean great. Starts right up idles smooth as silk. It runs nice and cool and shifts perfect and make no odd sounds at all. It has the 5.0 (302cid) Windsor V8 with throttle body fuel injection. Car just had a major tune up last year and has a new battery and new alternator as well. Brakes are extremely firm and car stops like it is a new Town Car. Please ask any and all questions you have about the Town Car Coupe. I collect classic Lincolns so I will be glad to answer any questions on the car. Once again extremely rare Lincoln Town Car Coupe with only 70,300 miles and a clean title.!!!!!!!

Lincoln poised to double MKZ Hybrid production
Thu, 18 Jul 2013The Lincoln MKZ Hybrid has been something of a hit for Ford since the beginning, exceeding the company's modest projected 15-percent take rate for more than two years (we say "modest" because that still means an overwhelming majority of Lincoln customers are passing up on the gas-electric powertrain even though it costs the same as the standard model). Either way, Lincoln builds 700 MKZ Hybrids at its plant in Mexico each month, but has sold 715 of them in each of the past three months. That's why, according to a report in The Detroit News, when the restyled 2014 MKZ Hybrid arrives (non-hybrid pictured), Ford is doubling production compared to 2013. Instead of the hybrid model being 20 percent of production, the new hybrid will make up 40 percent.
Ford is doing well with hybrids in general - its portion of the electrified vehicle segment jumping 12 points in a single year to 16 percent. Assuming Ford doesn't change the pricing strategy (along with the changes Ford is making to calibration to improve fuel economy), the sedan could continue to "[show] other luxury hybrids how it's done" when it goes on sale later this year.
Sunday Drive: Trucks and SUVs of all shapes and sizes
Sun, Nov 5 2017The American automotive marketplace is dominated by trucks and SUVs, and so was the last week of coverage on Autoblog. By far, the most popular story of the week was our First Drive of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It may look like an old-school lumberer, but in reality Lincoln's flagship is a thoroughly modern, turbocharged-V6-powered, three-row, luxury people mover. The Jeep Wrangler is the world's most recognizable vehicle. So it's no surprise that the next version looks a whole heck of a lot like the last one, and the one before. It's all in the details, which is why we were so excited when Jeep decided to unleash a trio of images showing both two- and four-door Wranglers for us to dissect ahead of the SUV's official debut at the L.A. Auto Show later this year. Past that, spy photos of the next Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500 were predictably popular. See both of those below, and the cap it all off, check out the entire week's worth of SEMA coverage – including the bonkers Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 – in our mega image gallery at the bottom of this post. Enjoy! As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2018 Lincoln Navigator First Drive | From black sheep to flagship 2018 Jeep Wrangler revealed: First photos released before L.A.
