This is an all original true 1983 Lincoln Mark VI Emilio Pucci Edition Coupe. This is the rarest of all the designer versions of the Mark VI. The Pucci Edition coupe was only made for part of the year in 1983. This was also the last year of the Mark VI as well. This Mark VI Pucci is as original as you can find. This specific model of Mark VI is very rare and very hard to find. I will try to describe this car with as much detail as I know. The car has NO rust at all on the body. The bottom of the car is rot free and rust free. There is no rust/rot on the car anywhere top to bottom. The person I bought it from brought the car in the southwest back in mid 2000's. The owners he bought it off said it was a Arizona car its whole life. I have no official proof of this but do to the lack of rust I would agree that it was a southwest car. Since the mid 2000's it has been always kept inside and has never seen snow. The car is the proper and Original Emilio Pucci colors of  Dark Blue Cambria soft top and Blue Flannel Mist paint with a light blue velour interior. The soft top is in great shape not dried out or cracked or faded at all. The paint on the car is faded by the sun. I did polish one spot and the shine does come back but in a few spots the paint has pealed so repainting or touch up will be needed for it to be perfect. The paint faded very uniformly and not almost looks like a Matte blue finish it doesn't have that ugly clear coat pealing that most sun faded cars have.  All the chrome and bright work is great and very shinny. It has the original Lincoln wheels with matching spare. The driver side taillight is cracked but i have a whole oem light cluster I will include with it. I just haven't had time to swap the taillight. There is a few small dents here and there but all very small and are far less then most 30 year old cars. The interior is very nice and all original and clean not rips or tears or stains. The Velour seats are pillow top style and super soft and in great shape. The power seats, windows, lights, instrument cluster, locks, wipers heat, blower and even cruise control work well. The lights are the optional auto dimming and light sensing type and still work.  The radio is the original factory upgraded unit with the surround sound that was optional in 1983. The volume control is a bit flakey at times so i have another original radio same style I will include. But current radio does work I just am trying to list every detail I know of. This Mark VI has the optional digital dash and multi-function trip computer. All the buttons and modes for the digital dash work as the should as well. The headliner is clear and not sagging at all. Carpet is still good and is the original designer style carpet I still have original mats as well. The dash has cracks from the sun but it has a dash cover on it. All the faux wood in the car is perfect. There is NO rust in the door jams or any other spot. The car also has the optional key-less code entry system that still works. The car drives and runs great starts every time and runs smooth. Brakes work well and it drives smooth like a cloud. It is very low mileage with only 78,826 miles. The engine is the fuel injected 5.0 and sounds great and is smooth even when it is cold.  The Mark VI still has its original vin/build plate under the hood that shows its specific Pucci build number. This is the rarest Lincoln Mark VI out there and is a great car. I was hoping to keep it but i have so many other toys/projects right now I could drive and enjoy this car like it deserves. I tried to describe it to the best of my abilities please ask any questions you may have.

Ford launches mobile coronavirus test program with partners

Wed, Apr 15 2020

For its latest coronavirus act, Ford has joined forces with a Detroit university, its affiliated physicians group and an Arab-American human services nonprofit to launch a mobile Covid-19 testing program for symptomatic first responders, health care workers and corrections officers in Michigan. Since Monday, Ford has been supplying Lincoln Navigators and drivers from the Lincoln Personal Driver pilot service, both offered through its Ford X in-house incubator. They’re equipped with tents, sanitation, power and Wi-Fi. Partners Wayne State University, the Wayne State University Physician Group and Dearborn-based ACCESS are providing staff and medical kits. The program is billed as an extension of drive-through testing sites operating in Detroit and Dearborn, but capable instead of bringing testing to locations and people who lack access to it. The mobile Navigator test vehicles will be capable of testing up to 100 people per day at no cost, with results returned within 24 to 36 hours. Testing will start at sites in southeast Michigan and then branch out to other parts of the state, including Battle Creek, Lansing and Grand Rapids. Michigan has been a major epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., with 27,001 confirmed cases and 1,768 deaths as of the most current data from Tuesday. The state has been under a stay-at-home order since March 23. With its factories remaining temporarily idled for vehicle production, Ford has kept busy branching out into the fight against the novel coronavirus on multiple fronts. It kicked off production of a waist-mounted, powered air-purifying respirator it designed with 3M on Tuesday, and it plans to begin building ventilators at a plant in Michigan next week. Earlier this week, Ford announced it was helping a supplier that makes airbags use the material instead for reusable medical gowns for health care workers. Employees are also manufacturing protective face masks at its Van Dyke Transmission Plant, plastic face shields at a subsidiary near Detroit and helping a medical device company ramp up production of Covid-19 field testing kits. The Lincoln Way seeks to woo customers with unique services

Tue, Jul 19 2016

Lincoln has been fighting hard to shed their image as a luxury brand for the elderly. The company has recently introduced or updated nearly every vehicle in its fleet in order to literally put a new face on the brand. Options, like the Black Label program, attempt to pull influence from high-end automakers that provide services extending beyond scheduled oil changes. Now, Lincoln is introducing a program that it refers to as The Lincoln Way, a suite of customer-oriented services that the company hopes will set it apart from the pack. All of this starts this fall when the new Continental goes on sale. Customers will have access to services like vehicle pickup and drop off and complimentary loaner vehicles. The company is planning more incentives for the future, but details are vague. Lincoln parent Ford is offering similar services on the upcoming GT. The Lincoln Way seems to be an expansion of some services already offered under the Black Label program. Right now, Black Label includes scheduled maintenance, car washes, and concierge services, as well as exclusive vehicle colors and options. The program is pricey and only available on some models in some states, though Lincoln plans on expanding Black Label's reach. In addition to these services, Lincoln is opening a showroom of sorts, called the Lincoln Experience Center, in Newport Beach, California. The facility won't actually sell vehicles. Instead, customers can come and learn about the brand, build and price vehicles, and take test drives. The Experience Center will then put customers in contact with local dealers. Lincoln says the increased focus on customer care and satisfaction draws influence from the company's growth in China. Since the introduction of The Lincoln Way services, sales in China have grown greatly. Sales in the United States, like China, have been improving the past few years. With the introduction of The Lincoln Way, the company hopes that Matthew Mcconaughey won't be the only draw for future customers. Related Video: Lincoln Ownership Luxury lincoln black label

2020 Lincoln Navigator cut to three trims, starts at $77,120

Tue, Aug 20 2019

Lincoln has reworked the Navigator lineup for 2020, a brand spokesperson telling Cars Direct it wants to make ordering the luxury SUV "even more effortless for clients." That means shedding one of the four current trims, the Select, and rearranging pricing for the three remaining variants. The entry-level Navigator Standard starts at $75,825 before the $1,295 destination charge, the total coming to $77,120. The figure represents a $2,620 increase over the 2019 model year, but as we reported earlier, Lincoln added a number of new features for 2020. Convenience items such as power running boards, heated and cooled front seats, wireless phone charging, and Lincoln's Phone as Key system are standard throughout the range. Every 2020 Navigator will also get the driver safety suite CoPilot360. That technology isn't available on the 2019 Navigator Standard, and requires the $2,640 Technology Package on the Select trim, which is already $4,000 more expensive than the base trim. With the Select gone, the next trim up is Reserve. Lincoln says 90 percent of customers choose the Reserve or Black Label trims, and any buyers planning on the former will think 2020 a good year. The Reserve could only be had as a 4x4 in 2019, but adds a 4x2 powertrain for 2020 and lowers its price. It will start at $82,660 in two-wheel-drive guise, making it $3,830 less than the 2019 model with all-wheel drive. The Reserve 4x4 will cost $85,330, for a discount of $1,170 compared to 2019. The 2020 Navigator Reserve will also add the option of a Monochrome Package, which eliminates chrome on trim like the grille and side vents, making them body color instead. It also paints the mirror caps in the body color and swaps out for 22-inch, 12-spoke black painted wheels. We don't know pricing on that yet, but the package will only be available in Pristine White, Ceramic Pearl (gray), or Infinite Black.   The extended Reserve L in 4x2 form starts at $85,860. Cars Direct didn't break out a price for the Reserve L 4x4, but assuming the $3,200 price difference between the 4x2 models holds, the price would be $88,530. That's the same $1,170 discount as on the non-L Reserve trims.    The top-shelf Black Label sticks to a 4x4-only formula, and goes up by just $375 for both regular and L versions. The regular 2020 Black Label trim will cost $98,065, the Black Label L will cost $101,265.
