1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III-Only 750 Miles since on frame restoration. This car drives and handles like new. Beautiful gold paint and chocolate brown brand new vinyl top. Brown and cream  interior replacement provides everyone with a living room ride with very cold and strong air conditioning. Great sounding factory AM radio, power steering , power brakes, autotronic eye, new carpets, new exhaust system, new a/c compressor, new edelbrook carburation and air cleaner (orginal in trunk). Very nice white radial tires with original wire hub caps. Engine was removed from car and completely rebuilt.

It is stronger than when brand new. I have over $42,000.00 in this car with receipts over the past 4 years of restoration. This car has no rust, dings, or dents and never wrecked. Very strong #2 car which should appreciate in value over the next several years as it it only 1 or 7,770 built that year. The Mark III's are just now coming into their own. I am selling due to a lack of space to "thin the heard". If you want luxury at its best which you can drive anywhere  without worrying this is the car for you.

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy

Sun, 31 Aug 2014

Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).

Never mind the naysayers; Lincoln is worth saving

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

In the case of Henry Leland, naming his new car brand after the first President he cast a vote for in 1864 seemed a jolly good idea, on paper.
You should always be careful about the name you choose to give your new baby. The power of association can work in many ways, not always positive.

Possible MKX concept teased as Lincoln confirms China expansion

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

We've been speculating for years about the future of Lincoln. Some thought that Ford needed to kill the division like it did Mercury, while others saw the sales possibility in a brand with so much history. Ford has finally made a decision, and it wasn't what many people were expecting. Lincoln is launching in China this fall, with the brand rollout starting at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show. A new video hints that we might even get to see the concept for the next-generation MKX.
Lincoln is marketing itself in China as a customer-focused, high-end luxury ownership experience. To prove it, the Lincoln Space in Beijing is meant both as a prototype dealer and a grand show of its plans. The modernist structure looks more like an art museum than a car showroom, and the interior decor is like a high-end hotel lobby. The company says that every dealer is going to have license plate recognition technology that knows when an owner arrives, and there will also be a Personalization Studio where potential buyers can design their car with family. Lincoln is promising to have eight showrooms ready in seven cities by this fall.
Of course, a stylish showroom is nothing without cars to sell. Lincoln is promising five models on sale in China by 2016. The MKZ and MKC launch this fall. A midsize luxury SUV, a fullsize luxury sedan and the Navigator are coming later. All of the models sold there are being imported from North America.
