1998 Lincoln Mark Viii Lsc Sedan 2-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Reynoldsburg, Ohio, United States
You are bidding on this really sharp 1998 Lincoln Town Car MarkVIII. It has high miles, but the only affect this has on the vehicle is it gets you the car you have been wanting for a nice summer drive for a lot cheaper than what they usually go for. This thing has a lot of life left in it. It functions perfectly. Mechanically this car is really sound. It starts right up and can drive across the country if you need it to. These vehicles are designed to last and perform. This car suggests premium gasoline, so it does not gets surprisingly great Gas Mileage. I drove this from Cincinnati to Columbus Ohio for less than $40 in Gas. Let me explain how this car ended up in my possesion... My uncle owns a used car lot. I am a member of his dealership and like to sell cars on the side for a little bit of supplemental income. I have access to dealer only auctions and that's where I get these vehicles. I purchased this car from Manheim Cincinnati. I had absolutely no trouble with the vehicle driving the distance. This is probably because I only buy cars that are "Auction Guaranteed" This is in reference to the powertrain of the vehicle. (engine and transmission). I really enjoy road trips, so I would be willing to drive this car to the winning bidder for a fee a lot less than what it costs to ship vehicles these days. I got this for me to simply flip. I got a good deal and am willing to sell it cheap. I simply just want to sell it and sell it without reserve. hopefully someone can enjoy it for what it is. a very cheap but reliable classic that is discontinued. You never see these on the road. You can tell it has mechanically been well taken care of. Everything works, but The A/C blows warm air. However; the first thing I did was have my Mechanic look it over and change the oil check fluids etc etc. The tires look to be with good life left on them, but I would do an alignment and rotation, because there is a slightly annoying shake at or around 55 mph. There are no signs of this being a smoker's car. Really this thing is ready to just be picked up and driven. Please keep in mind this is an 17 year old car that was clearly garage kept. When you think of this, you can actually feel very good how well the overall shape of the vehicle is. There are no gaps between fender and hood and such things (meaning no real evidence of any body damage in its life). The four rims sparkle and all match. There are not even minor blemishes on the body. The stereo is aftermarket and works perfectly. Actually has a cool design It has AUX and USB inputs. Please bid confidently. I have 100% feedback and try my best to describe the vehicles. Any specific questions I will gladly answer. call email or text 614-271-0330
There are a few points I have to disclose. 1.The driver's side door does not open from the outside. The door handle exists but a latch from the inside seems to be unhooked. 2. There is a tear in the driver's side visor. 3. The glove compartment is missing, the panel underneath the steering wheel is missing exposing the wires (nothing dangerous or unhooked, just an eye soar if you look down. 4. The chrome trimming around the ignition area is missing

Lincoln Continental prototype breaks down, requires a tow
Wed, Dec 2 2015Sometimes, cars break. Sometimes, said cars happen to be prototypes covered in camouflage. And sometimes, spy photographers are on hand to capture the sad sight. Such is the case here, as our trusty long-lenses have captured images of a stricken Lincoln Continental getting a tow back the shop. It's not clear what happened with the wounded Continental, but its unfortunate breakdown has given us a great look at the car's sprawling glass roof. Like the current MKZ, it looks like the Conti's panoramic roof can slide back, although we doubt it will cover up any element of the rear window, like its smaller sibling. And unlike our previous round of spy photos, this latest gallery gives us a look at a rather substantial set of integrated exhaust tips (i.e. fakes that have been fitted directly to the rear bumper cover). We can also spy a bit of the interior, although it's nowhere near as good as our last round of images. These shots do, however, show off a full roll cage and a fire extinguisher, but we wouldn't count on those being offered with the production model. Their presence here, though, leads us to believe that the car in question is probably some kind of vehicle dynamics tester. Look for a full introduction of the all-new Continental next month, when it debuts at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Related Video:
We test Lincoln's 20-speaker Revel Ultima stereo with a rock star
Fri, Aug 26 2016If there's two things Detroiters know, it's music and cars. So when Lincoln approached us with big claims about their latest stereo system, the Revel Ultima System, we sought out a veteran of the Motor City music scene to test it out. First unveiled at the 2015 Detroit International Auto Show in the Lincoln MKX, Revel is bringing its bumping bass to the 2017 Lincoln MKZ. We had Dick Valentine, lead singer of Electric Six and favorite son of Detroit, try out the 20-speaker, 1200-watt system. If you want it on your MKZ, Revel Ultima is part of the $4,400 Luxury Package. Electric Six is perhaps most famous for its early hit, Gay Bar, and the music video filled with shirtless Abe Lincolns in the White House. Since their debut release, Fire, E6 has backed up a regular touring schedule with ten more studio albums, both a live album and live DVD, and an upcoming quasi-reality film titled Roulette Stars of Metro Detroit. We met up with Valentine on the set of the Roulette Stars to explore the depths of his sardonic wit that oozes through every E6 song. Lincoln says that Revel is the best in the biz. And we'll admit, the stats are impressive. But are 20 speakers and marketing terms like Quantum Logic Surround Technology, Clari-Fi Technology and Point Source Architecture enough to impress a Detroit legend? Valentine knows a little something about sound. As the lead singer and frontman of the Electric Six, he's spent over twenty years hearing his tunes played through speakers. While Valentine hasn't owned a car in a while, he does have opinions on jamming inside of them. We played songs from the band's latest album Bitch, Don't Let Me Die to see if Revel truly delivers on it's bold claims. Related Video: Celebrities Lincoln Ownership music audio sound system
2017 Lincoln Continental reimagined as a coupe
Thu, Jan 21 2016If nothing else, the production version of the Lincoln Continental has provided ample water-cooler fodder around the office. There are a few camps: the "it took guts to build it" folks giving credit where due on a handsome design with an ambitious interior, and the "MKZ misstep" group haranguing the Motor Company for blowing fancy new styling cues on a lesser beast. And yet, unifying forces exist. We can all agree that these artist renders depicting a Continental sans a pair of doors present a captivating notion. Back in 1939, the original Continental was a two-door. Over time, four doors of various types, including convertibles, infiltrated the lineup. The last time the Continental was on sale, it was a four-door front-driver based on the platform shared with the Mercury Sable and Ford Taurus. Even though the new production Continental, like that penultimate one, is based on a front-drive platform, the execution is much different. As you probably already know, it features a so-far unique 400-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 and an advanced torque-vectoring AWD system, standard. Some neat concept car touches, like the fancy door handles and patented 30-way adjustable seats, made it in. What a two-door would bring to the table is mainly stylistic, emphasizing the long parallel character line in the door with brightwork running under the window that's echoed in the lower door sculpting and chrome strip. It accentuates the car's length, and calls attention to the trim taillights and their interconnecting bar element. A longer door makes for a more elegant transition into the C-pillar. It makes the production Continental, with its blacked-out but still obviously chunky B-pillar, look fussy. We don't expect Lincoln to build a coupe – that may be too wild for a company that doesn't seem completely comfortable with the notion of reinvention – but these renders were just too good not to share. Let us know what you think in the comments below. Related Video:
