THIS IS A NO RESERVE LISTING.

This is my 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC luxury coupe with only 81,134 miles.

This Mark VIII is no doubt one of the cleanest, best condition examples of this car available in the country.

The Mark VIII was the last of Lincoln's Mark series of high-performance V8 personal luxury coupes. These cars showcased the newest and best technology Ford had to offer.

This is an ultra-clean, no rust, superb condition Mark VIII in collectible condition.

This Lincoln has the following equipment and options:

  • 4.6L InTech 32V 290HP V8 engine
  • automatic transmission
  • power moonroof
  • power and heated front seats
  • traction control/ABS brakes
  • remote keyless entry
  • automatic climate control
  • JBL Premium Audio- factory AM/FM cassette radio with 6-disc CD changer
  • power locks and windows
  • Tri-coat Pearl White paint
  • cruise control
  • power tilt wheel

This is a superb, all-original and very clean Mark VIII.  By this age most of these cars have rusted out and are sagging on the ground with leaky air suspensions.  By contrast, this is a SUPER CLEAN, well-maintained car that runs and drives perfectly, and everything works.

With 290 HP, this car is quite powerful- but it also gets great fuel economy.  The car is EPA rated at 26 mpg highway, which is excellent for a car with this sort of performance and features.

The paint and body are excellent.  The paint appears to be all original and it is glossy, clean and in excellent condition.  There is no body rust.  There are no significant exterior faults- everything is clean and in superb shape.  The body of this car looks gorgeous.

The interior is outstandingly clean and in great condition.  The leather is soft and in very good condition for the age.  The carpets, upholstery and trim are all clean and in great condition.  This interior still smells like new, if you can believe that.

This Mark runs and drives beautifully.  The engine is the same as was used in the Mustang Cobra, and it is powerful and runs great.  The transmissions shifts perfectly.  There are no known mechanical problems, and no warning lights are illuminated on the dash.  Everything is working great.  The rear air suspension works well and doesn't sag.

This is a comfortable, quiet, powerful luxury car in superb condition for the age.  You could get in and drive this Lincoln anywhere you want.  I would trust this car for a cross-country drive.  This car was always garaged and has been kept in immaculate condition through the years.

I have the books and manuals, two keys, two remotes plus the original window sticker.  This car cost $43,115 when new.

This is a 1997 car and as such it is not brand new.  Please expect normal issues of wear and tear consistent with the age of the car.  Here is a list of the only faults I can find with this car- there is very minor wear on the leather of the driver's seat.  There are a few minor paint chips/nicks on the exterior.  The chrome wheels are somewhat worn; the center caps are missing in the photos but they are on order from Lincoln and will be included with the car.

I have no doubt this is one of the nicest Mark VIII available for sale in the country.  This is a clean, great-driving, all-original car that is just coming into its own as a collectible vehicle- and there aren't many left in this condition.

You can fly in to Cleveland (CLE) and drive this car home.  You can also ship the car, please call Angels Moving Autos at 530 245 0481 for a shipping quote.

This car is kept in my garage in Willoughby, OH.

Never mind the naysayers; Lincoln is worth saving

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

In the case of Henry Leland, naming his new car brand after the first President he cast a vote for in 1864 seemed a jolly good idea, on paper.
You should always be careful about the name you choose to give your new baby. The power of association can work in many ways, not always positive.

Lincoln MKC configurator comes alive

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Lincoln has already announced most of the trim level and option pricing for its upcoming 2015 MKC due out this summer, and now it has launched a configurator allowing prospective buyers to get a better idea of how this new model will stack up against other compact luxury crossovers. We already knew that the MKC will have a starting price of $33,995, but now we know that its price includes a destination charge of $895.
Models equipped with the base 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine come standard with the Premiere package - $33,100 for front-wheel drive and $35,595 for all-wheel drive. Both models offer equipment upgrades from the Select and Reserve packages. The $3,230 Select package adds features like leather seats, power passenger seat, folding and heated door mirrors and painted 18-inch wheels, while the pricier $6,935 Reserve package adds in heated and cooled front seats, panoramic roof, hands-free liftgate, two-tone wheels and an embedded modem (providing features such as remote lock and unlock, vehicle finder and pre-conditioning).
Opting for the new 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four raises the base price to $39,965, and it comes standard with all-wheel drive and all of the equipment in the Select package; the Reserve package is still optional. All models can be further optioned up with the $2,235 Technology Package (adding adaptive cruise, active park assist and lane keeping system) and the $580 Climate Package (heated rear seats and steering wheel, auto high beams and rain-sensing wipers). Checking all the options, a fully loaded 2015 MKC with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost will have a total MSRP of $47,715.

2015 Lincoln MKC priced from $33,995* [w/poll]

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Looking to build on the momentum it struggled to establish with the MKZ, Lincoln recently unveiled the production version of its all-new MKC last month at the LA Auto Show. With a proven platform shared with the Ford Escape and striking design, the 2015 Lincoln MKC goes on sale next summer ready to take on the ever-expanding world of luxury compact crossovers. Breaking into this new segment, Lincoln has priced the MKC aggressively as one of the least-expensive offerings in its class, starting at $33,995 (*including destination charges).
At that price, the 2015 MKC costs a little bit more than a fully loaded 2014 Ford Escape Titanium and is just slightly less costly than the Acura RDX and Volvo XC60. More importantly, it's thousands less than Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes GLK-Class. The MKC will be offered in three trim levels for now - there is still no more information about Lincoln's new Black Label products - ranging from the base Premiere up to the range-topping Reserve.
The Premiere will come standard with features like active grille shutters, push-button start, remote start, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats, while the midgrade Select starts at $37,225 and adds upgraded 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, daytime running lights and a steering wheel featuring Wollsdorf leather. The top-shelf Reserve trim level starts at $40,930 and brings even more luxury features including the panoramic roof, navigation, cooled front seats and wifi access.
