1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III. I bought this car about three years ago and had it shipped in from California. It still has the black plate on the front. Dual plates are not required in Indiana. I have done quite a bit of work on it since I've had it. I will list these things first, then list what I know needs to be done now. I have replaced both front window motors with new ones. Replaced alternator, complete engine tune up. Changed oil and oil filter, both Amsoil synthetic oil, gas filter, air filter, changed transmission fluid and filter, wiper blades fan belts. Replaced broken turn signal arm with good used one. Replaced worn out lower air conditioner tensioner pulley. replaced driver door switches, driver side tail light lens right rear hub cap. The transmission had a small leak around the seals where the shifter arm goes through the transmission housing. I had a transmission repair shop replace these seals and change the fluid and filter again. They replaced the shifter seals, output shaft o-rings, extension housing gasket, seal and bushing. I am quoting from the repair shop receipt. I have not driven it since these were replaced. It needs to be driven for them to seat and not leak. I moved the car and saw no transmission fluid. I do not know if they have seated. If there is a leak, it should seal after driving it awhile. The receipt is for $183.04. I do not guarantee these or any other repairs and do not guarantee the car, it is sold as-is. The engine runs great, transmission works fine. Drives like a dream. Plenty of power. It flies. Tires have not been replaced since I have had it. They are weathered and should be replaced. The head liner is torn in the rear of the car in two places I believe. After sitting, the power master controls do not all work. I have had the car sit for a long time before and would work with the switches and they did start to work again. They may or may not return to working properly. The front driver seat has several small bad places. The carpet appears to be in good shape. Back seats are in good condition. The driver side window does not completely seal when window is up and door is closed. The window needs to be left down a quarter inch or so until door is closed. Also there is a space between the passenger windows. The radio does work but both door speakers need to be replaced. It plays very low. All the speakers probably should be replaced. The trunk is in great shape. The trunk lid is in very good shape. No apparent rust like most of them. The car was painted at one point. Not since I have owned it. Passenger door has been swiped against the garage entry. This paint may come off with paint thinner or some other paint remover. I have not tried. I have replaced the grille. Very nice. I have replaced the vacuum canisters with used ones but the headlight doors eventually come open indicating a vacuum leak. All the lights and switches did work when I parked it. It has been sitting for a long time and they may or may not decide to work again. The windshield wiper switch was replaced with a used one from a Thunderbird and the wipers don't go all the way down below the windshield. The car looks really good all in all. Drives great. There are some things that will need to be checked/repaired. To my knowledge there is nothing major wrong with it. I have never had any problems with it other than what is listed here. The driver door panel as with most all of the driver side panels needs to be replaced. It is warped and doesn't look very good. Please check out all the pictures, ask any questions you may have. Other than the tires, I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. It is over 42 years old so I am pretty sure that there are some things that I do not know about that may come up. I have put a new battery in it since I have had it. I have done several things that I do not remember now. Remember, I believe the car is beautiful and road worthy, with the exceptions of the tires, but is has been sitting for several months just being started every couple of months and driven very short distances. Also, the vinyl top has a couple of small defects/tears. Again, the car is sold as-is. No warranties or guarantees. $500.00 is due immediately after end of auction. You can use Pay Pal if you prefer. The balance is to be paid on pick up of the car in cash. No checks/money orders. Cash only. Clear title.

McConaughey stars in new round of Lincoln ads
Thu, Aug 20 2015Matthew McConaughey's ruminative commercial work with the Lincoln MKC, MKZ, and MKZ Hybrid showed us a side of Lincoln we didn't know existed, and a bunch of spoofs made us laugh about it. Most importantly, though, the partnership worked, leading to a double-digit increase in sales and millions of hits in brand exposure. That's why the actor and the automaker are back together, McConaughey scheduled to return in a new commercial campaign launching September 2 for the 2016 Lincoln MKX. He'll give up the air of cosmopolitan sage, because these ads "dial up the swagger factor" according to Lincoln's group marketing manager John Emmert. Introduced earlier this year at the Detroit Motor Show, the brand put a lot of work into the all-new model, said to be "much improved in how it rides, steers, brakes and looks," offering a more powerful engine, and at least 36 new features including adaptive lighting. Ford's first production implementation of adaptive steering, and Harman's first automobile application of Revel audio will bow with the mid-sized crossover. On top of all that, it's also got that lower price. Emmert said the McConaughey ads will point out "the technology and the beauty of the vehicle." Lincoln will buy time during NFL games as part of the campaign. We have no doubt the anticipation from YouTube and a few celebrity rascals is already high. Related Video:
Woman keying luxury car caught on tape
Thu, Nov 12 2015Toronto police are on the hunt for a disguised woman who was caught on camera Sunday keying a car. The woman sported a red bandana over her face and baseball cap as she ran up to the Lincoln MKS in a driveway, the Toronto Star reported. She then went to town with a sharp object, gleefully scratching the car's paint job. She runs off after nearly a minute of enthusiastic damage. Police believe the victim and the vandal know each other, since the Lincoln is the only car in the neighborhood she hit. This is also the third time this particular car has been damaged. They suspect this woman is responsible for the previous incidents. Toronto police told the Star that it will likely cost Lincoln owner thousands to have his car repaired. Security cameras are great for catching vandals in the act, though the videos are difficult for any car enthusiast to watch. Take for instance this video from London in April of a man scratching an Aston Martin while pushing a baby stroller. News Source: The Toronto Star Lincoln Videos vandalism scratch
