I am a small private Collector and a perfectionist! I purchased this vehicle late Dec and Received it Mid January. The car was sold New in W. Virginia, garage kept and covered! The original owner passed away approximate 2.5 yrs ago and his Senior Son brought the Car to his home in Colorado. He told me his father was very fussy and had the oil changed every 2000-2500 miles. Which was very evident when I removed the valve covers to refinish them. There was NO Sludge or Varnish on the engine head or inside of the valve covers (Pictures are attached). I removed the radiator and sent it out to be flushed and pressure checked. I completely refinished the engine compartment, removed all hoses and incorrect clamps. I replaced every hose with period correct Hoses and clamps, I actually was able to find Autolite Radiator hoses with the double wire clamps I installed all New Autolite Ignition wires, spark plugs and Autolite engine Decals. I found a Autolite Battery Topper and had Red Autolite Vinyl letters made for the battery. I re sprayed under the hood and covered the engine blankets with fire retardant felt. The top of the Grill Shell had some fading, the top section of the 4 piece bumper and bumper ends was spotted with patina and some surface rust. I sent the Grill Shell and 4 piece bumper to a Top Quality Chrome shop and had it refinished (took 9 weeks). The Car sat from 2007 till I purchased it. Mechanically I had to have a complete new brake system Installed including Master cylinder. The fuel pump was leaking, the starter was noisy so both were replaced. The power Steering pump started to leak and the Steering box was squealing so both of them were replaced. The car runs very smooth and starts with a flick of the key!! The Original NEW Spare Tire is in the trunk, the Michelin Tires on the ground measure 10/32nds and are recent. The exhaust pipes have some surface rust and are very sound, the mufflers are recent. The resonators are older but appear sound! The Interior of the car Shows NO Wear, there are No crakes or scratch's in the leather. To the best of my knowledge the paint is original with exception of the header panel around the head light doors and some paint work has been done to the left front fender to repair a scratch. There are 2 pencil point door dings on the right side of the car, one being towards the bottom of the right door and one over the rear wheel opening! I bought the car as a 139,000 miles, there is nothing which indicates that it has this kind of mileage!!!, That's what Sate Motor Vehicles put on the title. I have full documentation original titles window sticker and buyers Purchase. order I am a Senior and am having some health Issues and taking care of 4 cars is just to much for me now. Ask any questions and I will answer! All Sales are final!! I have described this vehicle in detail and have tried to cover all details. I am not responsible for any errors or omissions! The car is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end this listing at my discretion!

Is Lincoln MKC cutting into Cadillac SRX sales?
Tue, 07 Oct 2014The two big American luxury brands of Cadillac and Lincoln are on surprisingly similar paths at the moment with both divisions hoping to redefine themselves and grow popularity. They're still early in the process with no clear winner yet, but things might actually be looking up for Lincoln's latest model, according to a monthly sales analysis from The Motley Fool. It seems, at least early on, that the new MKC crossover might be taking a bite out of the Cadillac SRX's growth.
The MKC launched just a few months ago and has been getting a big marketing push from a series of oft-mocked ads starring the smooth-talking Matthew McConaughey. The luxury CUV has been the popular, new kid on the block with growing sales since its introduction. While smaller than the SRX, the Lincoln starts at a lower price and offers better fuel economy.
Through June, the SRX performed well with sales up over 20 percent on average through June, according to The Motley Fool. However, July and August saw things plummet with year-over-year drops of 7 percent and 37 percent, respectively. It still far outsold the MKC in terms of actual units in a given month, but the Caddy's continued growth has appeared to stagnate.

These are the cars with the best and worst depreciation after 5 years
Thu, Nov 19 2020The average new vehicle sold in America loses nearly half of its initial value after five years of ownership. No surprise there; we all expect that shiny new car to start depreciating as soon as we drive it off the lot. But some vehicles lose value a lot faster than others. According to data provided by iSeeCars.com, trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles generally hold their value better than other vehicle types, with the Jeep Wrangler — in both four-door Unlimited and standard two-door styles — and Toyota Tacoma sitting at the head of the pack. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's average five-year depreciation of 30.9% equals a loss in value of $12,168. That makes Jeep's four-door off-roader the best overall pick for buyers looking to minimize depreciation. The Toyota Tacoma's 32.4% loss in initial value means it loses just $10,496. The smaller dollar amount — the least amount of money lost after five years — indicates that Tacoma buyers pay less than Wrangler Unlimited buyers, on average, when they initially buy the vehicle. The standard two-door Jeep Wrangler is third on the list, depreciating 32.8% after five years and losing $10,824. Click here for a full list of the top 10 vehicles with the least depreciation over five years. On the other side of the depreciation coin, luxury sedans tend to plummet in value at a much faster rate than other vehicle types. The BMW 7 Series leads the losers with a 72.6% drop in value after five years, which equals an alarming $73,686. BMW's slightly smaller 5 Series is next, depreciating 70.1%, or $47,038, over the same period. Number three on the biggest losers list is the Nissan Leaf, the only electric vehicle to appear in the bottom 10. The electric hatchback matches the 5 Series with a 70.1% drop in value, but since it's a much cheaper vehicle, that percentage equals a much smaller $23,470 loss.
