Up for auction are a PAIR of 1958 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MK III CONVERTIBLES! What I know about '58 Lincolns you could write on a postage stamp. So, if you are reading this then I am sure you know way more than I do. I encourage you to come and see these two cars if at all possible. They are located at our second home in GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA. I tried to change the auction location but ebay has me listed using our Virginia address and won't let me change it. As you can see there are TWO cars in this auction so for the sake of clarity I want to distinguish one from the other right away. The GOOD one of the two with the BLACK & WHITE interior is VIN#H8YG426156 and it has a CLEAR TITLE. This is the car with most of the glass broken out. The parts car/ambitious restoration project with the TAN & CREAM interior is VIN#H8YG421739 and it DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE. This is the car with the good glass, THOUGH THE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED. My hubby tells me there are some rare parts with the cars so lets clarify what they are. Here goes: there are TWO SETS of stainless steel rocker moldings. There is ONE PRIMERED FIBERGLASS PARADE BOOT for when the top is down (consisting of 2 pieces, 1 left and 1 right). There is ONE stainless steel RIBED FINISH MOLDING that runs between the two parade boot halves. There are TWO PAIRS of FENDER SKIRT (2 left & 2 right) and both pairs are in VERY good condition. There is ONE EXTRA steel convertible top cover. It is painted dark green and it is in VERY GOOD condition, see picture. There are THREE good HUBCAPS between the two cars. If you don't see it in the pictures then we don't have it. What is in the pictures is all we have. Lets deal with the good car first, VIN#H8YG426156. This car is VERY solid in all the right places that really count and there is a brand new pair of steel rocker panels that come with the car. The replacement rocker panels look like very good quality parts made of heavy gauge metal. The trunk floor is exceptionally good as you can see. The body is very straight and complete with the only rust out being on the rocker panels and some minor spots on the floor, and front of the doors. The whole convertible top frame including the header bow is in great condition. The car had a ton of power equipment fitted from new. I am not a very technical girl and I was amazed that a car this old could have all these really cool electrical gadgets on it, it makes my little honda look stripped down, LOL. It has the following: POWER WINDOWS, POWER SEAT, AUTRONIC EYE, AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT DIMMER, POWER DOOR LOCKS, POWER VENT WINDOWS, FACTORY INSTALLED AIR CONDITIONING, TOWN AND COUNTRY RADIO, POWER ANTENNA, TINTED GLASS, AND OF COURSE THE FULLY AUTOMATIC CONVERTIBLE TOP. My hubby checked the valves on the A/C compressor and there is STILL PRESSURIZED FREON IN THE SYSTEM! WOW, how about that. When he put a battery in the car the interior lights came on! How cool is that after all these years. As you can see from the last inspection sticker the car has been off the road sitting in a garage since 1968!! The original keys are still in the ignition. We tried the power seat and it actually worked, we couldn't believe it, and the rear convertible top BREEZE-Away window works up and down. We could not get ANY of the power windows to work but maybe we are doing something wrong. This good car can be seen in the first 19 pictures posted. This car was originally blue from what we can tell. This car DOES HAVE A CLEAR TITLE and it matches the VIN plate. The second car, VIN#H8YG421739 can be seen in the last five pictures. This car has all the same power equipment as the first car EXCEPT for the factory air conditioning. This second car has a good bit of rust in it in general and the floors are all rusted out. It was originally a sort of burnt orange/beige color and must have been a really pretty car when new. Now? Not so much, LOL. This car is really for parts or it would be an ambitious restoration project in our opinion. THERE IS NO TITLE but the VIN tag is still there in the door jamb and the VIN is perfectly readable. My hubby filled all the cylinders of both engines with light oil and said all the plugs looked good. For some weird reason neither car has carburetor and there is only one air breather, but its no count anyway. He said the transmission fluid in both cars looked clean and red. All the belts are still hooked up in the good car. Please check out my other listings for old car parts for cadillac, lincoln, old packard stuff and so on. My dad had LOTS of old cars and junk stored all over the place and we have sold a ton of it here on ebay and made a lot of collectors very happy. But there is still a lot more stuff to sort through before we put it on auction. We are not experts in this kind of thing so please ask questions and we will do our best to answer. So far we have shipped antique cars to ENGLAND, SWEDEN, GERMANY, AND AUSTRALIA. So if you are overseas and want a shipping quote just ask and we will get it for you. Shipping is no problem, we are used to doing the paperwork now!! You can reach my hubby on 864-616-6860 if thats easier than email but please no calls after 10 pm eastern standard time. We require FULL payment in 7 days by BANK WIRE TRANSFER or by CASH IN PERSON AT PICK UP. There will be no exceptions! If you have ZERO FEEDBACK or more than TWO NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS you must contact us before you bid or your bid will be cancelled. The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of the auctions end by the phone number listed above or by email. If the winning bidder wants the second car stripped down and the useful parts put into the first car to save on transport costs, we have a guy who will do that. He is very careful and will do a good job. If this is something you want done please contact us to discuss what you want saved from the second car. If you want a transport quote within the USA just ask and we will get if for you. Thanks and good luck to you all. Beverly

Here's our best look yet at the production Lincoln Continental
Wed, Dec 16 2015The team at Lincoln continues to strip off camouflage from the Continental in each new round of spy shots, and the latest set presents a luxury sedan that looks nearly ready for a debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. This one doesn't even need a tow truck to get around. The production Continental takes the handsome concept's design and translates its cues to the road with tiny alterations. The rectangular, mesh grille doesn't shine with chrome on this one, but that would be an easy addition for the Detroit show. The LED headlights look nearly the same with running lights that sweep upward at the corners. The bottom of the lower fascia sees the biggest tweak the company drops the thick chrome strip in favor of a thinner lip. Lincoln doesn't put any camo on the pillars, so these shots provide a great view of the roofline in profile. Look carefully along the beltline and you can spot where the designers incorporated the high-mounted door handles from the concept. This minor styling touch greatly helps to clean up the lines along the side. The rear sees bigger changes from the concept. For example, these undisguised taillights share the same shape but now have more visible red in them. The production version also wears a fairly simple integrated exhaust rather than the more complicated design before. The Continental will reportedly be available with the Lincoln-exclusive 3.0-liter EcoBoost and front- or all-wheel drive. Unlike the MKS that it will replace, the model's production will likely occur at the Flat Rock, MI, factory. Related Video:
2020 Lincoln Corsair will be revealed at the New York Auto Show
Wed, Mar 27 2019It's official, the 2020 Lincoln Corsair will be revealed at the New York Auto Show this April. To go along with the announcement is a teaser video that, well, doesn't reveal much of anything except the crossover's name prominently displayed on the front fender. But we know a fair bit about the crossover from spy shots and prior announcements. The Corsair is the successor to the MKC, Lincoln's smallest crossover, which is also based on the Ford Escape. We expect that it will continue to be based on the Escape, albeit the completely redesigned one that hasn't yet been revealed. That also means powertrains will probably be shared, but the Lincoln might get one or two model-specific powertrains like with the Lincoln Aviator. Reportedly, the new Corsair will feature turbocharged 2.0-liter and 2.3-liter four-cylinder engines along with a plug-in hybrid. Spy shots have revealed that the Corsair will have styling closely related to that of the larger Aviator. That means a floating roof, more broad-shouldered nose, and large amounts of glass. The inside is also inspired by the Aviator and Navigator and features piano-key shift buttons, a low, wide dash and a healthy amount of chrome. 2020 Lincoln Corsair spied View 16 Photos
