1978 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MARK V 2DR COUPE, BEAUTIFUL SURVIVOR IN DECENT SHAPE
It has 460 powerful engine and C6 automatic transmission and all wheel disc brakes. It still gives comfortable and enjoyable ride.
It is in very decent shape for its age. It has been taken care of pretty well. I'm just the third owner. The previous owner brought this car from Virgin islands about 10 years ago where it spent most of its life.
The body is in very good shape with some non significant dings and dents in couple places on the very bottom. The metal is solid with just some surface rust mostly on the trunk floor, inside of the hood and the front bumper. Most of the chrome is in good shape. All glass expect one small rock chip in the windshield and the tires still fair amount of tread left on them; there is also good spare tire in the trunk. The paint is not perfect, it has some touch ups and few tiny bubbles but it is still in presentable shape overall. Vinyl top has some discoloration and tiny bubbles in some areas.
Recently the lights stay turned on for some reason so I'm disconnecting the battery cable so it doesn't get drained while the car is not driven. Somebody told me it might likely the lights switch issue but I haven't had a chance to look into it.
The interior is in good shape including seats, headliner and the dash. The carpet is ok besides there is a missing small piece of it about 2 by 2 feet by the driver door. Floor boards are solid and still have the factory paint on them. There is also clicking noise in the seats once you put the ignition key in, it stops once the engine is started.
It is still fun to drive and and very comfortable car.
It can be driven or I can assist you with shipping if needed.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this vehicle and I will answer them as soon as I will check them here.
Thanks and Happy Bidding!

Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.
Annie Leibovitz goes Continental for Lincoln campaign
Mon, Oct 10 2016Lincoln has a lot riding on the new Continental, and the company is now calling upon renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz to glam-up its new flagship. Her photos are part of a new series dubbed "That's Continental," which the automaker will use in high-end publications and on social media. Leibovitz's iconic photos have been used in magazines like Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, and she's photographed celebrities, politicians, literary icons, and landmark events. The new series for the Continental is Leibovitz's first attempt at car photography and it follows a road trip theme inspired by the trips she took with her father as a child. The photos for the campaign were shot in New York City with a group of non-professional models, including a musician, an artist, an actor, and a film director and his dog, Seven. "Annie Leibovitz is a photographer of substance," said Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra. "The rich, warm emotions her photos evoke, mirror the feelings we want our clients to experience on all of their journeys in the new Lincoln Continental." While we're still arguing over the Continental's looks, Leibovitz's pictures show the sedan at its best. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Matthew McConaughey Lincoln pitches drive on with new MKZ ads
Mon, Dec 29 2014You didn't think a few spoofs were going to break up Lincoln and pitch-man Matthew McConaughey, did you? With more than three million extra free views of Lincoln products on YouTube because of the send-ups – and no one is making fun of the car, remember – the brand rightly concludes, "We couldn't ask for better." That's why the pair are back, this time working on behalf of the MKZ and MKZ Hybrid. The two commercials "Balance" and "Diner" are new, but the formula is the same - cinematic, contemplative, channeling more than a bit of True Detective. They'll hit broadcast channels during college bowl games on New Year's Day. You can watch "Balance" above and "Diner" below, and the press release further down has more details. Filmed in a style and tone consistent with last summer's much-talked-about "Live in Your Moment" ads for the first-ever Lincoln MKC, the new campaign brings the attention back to the premium midsize sedan that has been Lincoln's best-selling vehicle since arriving in showrooms two years ago. "The overwhelming response to the MKC campaign sparked truly great awareness for Lincoln," said Andrew Frick, Group Marketing Manager Lincoln. "Matthew's natural storytelling ability perfectly complements the Lincoln story as we continue to raise awareness and drive conversation in creative and unexpected ways.
