This is a 1964 lincoln which I bought 15 years ago. It has been sitting in a pasture for about 13 of those years, my folks want it out of the pasture so here it is.
I bought this car in San Diego when I was in the Navy, it was originally purchased in Cornado, Ca in 1964 and I have tons of service records from the original owner. I have the original black plates for the car somewhere. The car had 99,000 miles on it when it bought it, the guy I bought it from only owned it for a couple months and I believe he bought it from the estate of the original owner after he died. The car was in Coronado for 35 years, so unfortunately the salty air has given her a little rust.
The car ran pretty good when I was driving it. It would get a little warm in traffic and would use a little water, but that's it. I drove this car from San Diego to Medford, Or in 1999 and it ran great. Enough history; the current condition of the car is rough. Motor will run with a seperate hose to a gas can because the cars gas tank and fuel lines are plugged. It runs as it did years ago but the water pump leaks around the seal while running. The power steering groans a little and leaks. The car shifts and it will run around the pasture, the tires still hold air, it has not been on the road and shouldn't in it's current state. The interior is salvagable, the headliner has dropped, some of the interior chrome has begun to patina from moisture getting in the car. The rust on the body has not gotten any worse, but the trunk lid is just about gone and the hood needs immediate help to be saved. The rockers and floors are solid, doors are good, trunk is solid for the most part with one 4 inch rust hole that is an easy fix. Only real rust is at the bottom of the wheel arches and a little in the rear bumper end caps.
Please help save this car! bid and bring a trailer and own this piece of history and bring it back to life. My reserve is low so please don't ask or make any offers this is an auction.
Thanks for looking, John

Editors' Picks, May 2023: Some Subarus and a pair of luxury SUVs
Thu, Jun 1 2023The month of May saw a number of new vehicles jump into the pool of Editors' Picks. Subaru grabbed a pair with its brand-new generation of Crosstrek for 2024, and the Legacy earns one in the ever-shrinking midsize sedan segment. In the luxury space, we have one entry from Britain and one from here at home. The new Range Rover already got an Editors' Pick, but now the Range Rover Sport joins the ranks. The Corsair earned Editors' Pick status before its update, too, but now the refreshed version rejoins the ranks. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get an EditorsÂ’ Pick designation. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in May that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2023 Subaru Legacy 2023 Subaru Legacy View 15 Photos Quick take: The Legacy brings all-wheel drive with sedan dynamics to a shrinking segment, and it does so with a competitive price, respectable tech and tons of utility. Score: 7.5 What it competes with: Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 Pros: All-wheel drive in every trim, spunky turbo engine, tons of space in the rear and trunk Cons: CVT makes for a dull drive, infotainment is clunky, styling is on the bland side From the editors: Associate Editor Byron Hurd — "Not everybody has abandoned sedans. Not only is Subaru keeping some of its eggs in this four-door basket, but it's dyeing them in some festive shades. The new turbocharged and tightened Sport model makes a great case for itself as a grown-up WRX without all the GT-themed nonsense. Shame about the CVT." In-depth analysis: 2023 Subaru Legacy gets Sport trim, more tech, fresh design  2023 Range Rover Sport Quick take: It may not be outwardly sporty, but the Range Rover Sport has a killer design, gorgeous interior, buttery-smooth driving characteristics and a clean tech interface.

Lincoln putting perfume on its sales
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Lincoln has a scent. But unlike those from Mustang, Lamborghini or even Shark by Tara, you can't buy it and you have to visit a Lincoln dealership to inhale its notes of jasmine hedione, mate tea leaves and tonka beans. Essence of Lincoln - that's what it's called - is being piped through the ventilation systems at some showrooms to help "create an emotional connection between the luxury brand and its customers," and olfactorily promote the idea of "luxury and warmth." Where it's not run through the ducts, visitors can sample it on scent cards.
Master perfumer Rene Morgenthaler worked with aroma house SensoryMax to design Essence of Lincoln. Also including traces of Earl Grey bergamot and green tea, whenever you encounter it you're meant to enjoy "a feeling of belonging to an exclusive, forward-thinking group that values style and success." And then buy an MKC. There's a press release below with details and an image to explain more, if you're still having a little trouble smelling the orange blossoms.
