The body is in good shape with a few blemishes. The card was redone in 2003 and has been driven 5000ish miles in the last decade. Electrically the car is similar as from the factor.Minor work remaining:- Continental star for hood- Corner mounts for sun visor (visors have been reupholstered but I did not have the mounts)- Front/Rear bumper has some rust (easy swap out)- Redo the valve rockers (did not redo these in 2003 cause the mechanical said they were solid). This is a slight tick on one side that is hard to hear unless you are right up on i- A few paint blemishes- AC service/ compressor (York or Tecumseh compressors can often be found on eBay in good working condition for reasonable amounts). I ride with the radio pumping and the windows down.- Add power trunk popper if desired (not standard but the "hooks" are there).- Add light under trunk deck if desired (electrical is there)"

This is the make/model car from Spiderman and The Matrix movies in Presidential Black.

This car was restored in 2003:
These are rare cars. This one was purchased from California. Has done numerous fair weather trips to NYC, Ohio, NJ. Several mechanics have remarked how clean this car is. Always garaged. Never taken out in winter. The exact miles are unknown, there was 73 on the speedo when the motor was rebuilt and a "new" speedo put in.
- 1986 Transmission was rebuilt
- 2003 Full Engine rebuilt (did not do rocker arms), transmission fully serviced by a tranny shop including seals, replaced torque converter seal, carburetor rebuilt, interior reupholstered in premium vinyl (front seat was in good shape and went with custom cover and custom shag carpet floor mats) including American walnut trim!, speaker boxes were added, new headliner, new carpet, 6-way power seat motor rebuilt, shocks, all chrome polished, car tuned up, Body work done and repainted (frame on so there would not be any road squeaks!).
- 2006 new front end, yoke bearings, driveline inspected.
- 2012 converted generator to 104 Amps, replaced power steering gearbox seals, replaced power steering pump
- Ready for another 50 years!

Repairs are well over $20,000 (See the $35,000 for the Lincoln restored on "Pawn Stars").

Or will negotiate trade + cash for 1920-30's Henderson 4 or Cleveland 4 motorcycle in need of restoration.

This car is listed locally as well. if it sells the auction will terminate.

I would be happy to help loading with a shipper of your choice. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Ford recalls over 680,000 Ford Fusions, Mondeos, and Lincoln MKZs for seat belt pretensioners

Fri, Dec 2 2016

Update: We spoke with a Ford representative who said that owners will be notified by mail during the week of January 16 . Dealers will also have the fix available at the same time. Owners can bring in their vehicles to dealers for an evaluation in the mean time. The main text has been updated to reflect this. The Basics: Ford is recalling 680,872 2013-2016 Ford Fusions, 2015-2016 Ford Mondeos, and 2013-2015 Lincoln MKZ s for an issue with front driver-side and passenger-side seat belt pretensioners. The Problem: The seat-belt pretensioners did not have sufficient insulation applied. When the pretensioners are activated, the heat generated can cause the cables connected to the belts to separate, which in turn can prevent the seat belts from effectively restraining the occupant. This can lead to injuries. Injuries/Deaths: Ford reports two accidents and two injuries have occurred that are related to this recall. The fix: A dealer technician will inject an insulation coating around the pretensioner. This should effectively keep the heat away from the cables, ensuring the seat belt will properly restrain the user in a collision. If you own one: Affected owners will be notified by mail on the week of January 16. Dealers will have the fix available that week, and owners will be able to bring in their vehicles for the fix to be implemented free of charge. Related Video:

Ford is recalling more Takata airbag-equipped Ford and Lincoln models

Thu, Mar 2 2017

The Basics: Takata, the beleaguered airbag supplier at the root of the largest recall in automotive history, has informed Ford of a problem with the airbags in just over 30,000 Ford and Lincoln models. The problem is not related to the non-desiccated ammonium nitrate airbag inflators that plague the other airbags ( including many Fords), meaning there isn't a risk of shrapnel flying out from the units in this particular recall. The Problem: In the event of an accident, the front airbags may only partially inflate, and the airbag may become detached from the module because of misaligned parts. The problem affects 2016 and 2017 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX models built at the Oakville Assembly Plant. The issue also affects 2017 Lincoln Continentals that were built at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Injuries/Deaths: In a release, Ford stated that it is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or deaths related to the airbag issue. The Fix: Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag module at no cost. If You Own One: Sit tight and wait for Ford to notify owners. When that happens, take your car to the dealer for a replacement. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks

Sun, 31 Mar 2013

Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.
