car # 1 1961 Lincoln Convertible.it was originally triple red. some one at some point painted it dark green and dyed the interior Black. *The car starts. runs and drives. it is cold blooded at times and could use a check over to make shure everything is in sound order. Fluids and plugs/wires have been changed. *Transmission shifts fine. *has very old tires from the 60's on the car. They should be replaced. *windows are intermittent switches tested fine. two windows work. one motor tries to work but slips.(passenger front). one motor is dead. (drivers back.) *BOD Y needs work. has rusted rear quarters. the drivers door is badly bent. (tough to close.) I have an extra door. There are numerous dents, scratches some other isolated rust holes. deck lid is in good shape. (no rust.) *INTERIOR is intact. needs cleaning and new carpet. needs new top vynal. Back seat is included but was taken out to jump relays. *Top does not work! I can jump everything separately to get the pump to kick on, worm gears to spin, deck flap to work. *chrome is in good shape no rust minor pitting. has some rare options like cruize control and air conditioning. *Power locks work. lights work. radio works. needs new attena. Air conditioner is unchecked. Clock lense is damaged. * underside looked fine free of rust damage or rot. the actual miles are unknown. has clear title. car #2 is a 1961 hardtop sedan. it is black with nice red interior. I was told this one had 41,000 original miles on it. paint is pealing has some minor rust spots. this car is pretty darn solid. this car is not running right now. the engine is partially torn down. it spins. Matthew McConaughey Lincoln pitches drive on with new MKZ ads
Mon, Dec 29 2014You didn't think a few spoofs were going to break up Lincoln and pitch-man Matthew McConaughey, did you? With more than three million extra free views of Lincoln products on YouTube because of the send-ups – and no one is making fun of the car, remember – the brand rightly concludes, "We couldn't ask for better." That's why the pair are back, this time working on behalf of the MKZ and MKZ Hybrid. The two commercials "Balance" and "Diner" are new, but the formula is the same - cinematic, contemplative, channeling more than a bit of True Detective. They'll hit broadcast channels during college bowl games on New Year's Day. You can watch "Balance" above and "Diner" below, and the press release further down has more details. Matthew McConaughey Gets Behind Wheel of 2015 Lincoln MKZ in New Ads Airing Jan. 1 - The Lincoln Motor Company teams up again with Academy Award™ winner Matthew McConaughey to create Lincoln MKZ and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid ad campaign that will begin airing during high-profile New Year's Day college football bowl games - Two new TV and online ads will promote Lincoln MKZ and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid midsize sedans, which have given a new direction to the brand with their introduction two years ago - Lincoln's previous collaboration with McConaughey, the "Live in Your Moment" campaign, fueled early sales success of 2015 Lincoln MKC small premium utility DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 29, 2014 – In the bright spotlight of New Year's Day college football bowl games, The Lincoln Motor Company will launch its newest ad campaign promoting the 2015 Lincoln MKZ and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and featuring Matthew McConaughey. Filmed in a style and tone consistent with last summer's much-talked-about "Live in Your Moment" ads for the first-ever Lincoln MKC, the new campaign brings the attention back to the premium midsize sedan that has been Lincoln's best-selling vehicle since arriving in showrooms two years ago. "The overwhelming response to the MKC campaign sparked truly great awareness for Lincoln," said Andrew Frick, Group Marketing Manager Lincoln. "Matthew's natural storytelling ability perfectly complements the Lincoln story as we continue to raise awareness and drive conversation in creative and unexpected ways.
Lincoln prepping MKZ re-launch?
Thu, 04 Apr 2013Launching an all-new car is no easy task. Case in point is the 2013 Lincoln MKZ, introduced with the fanfare of a major nationwide marketing campaign, including expensive Super Bowl ads, just as Ford was curbing production over potential quality issues. The resulting mess was nothing short of a nightmare for any automaker - customers visiting dealerships looking for cars that hadn't been delivered yet. Disappointed buyers walked out of Lincoln retailers without new keys in their hands, or switched to a competing brand to fill empty spaces in their driveways.
The impact was painful, as Lincoln's sales in January and February of this year were among the lowest it has recorded in more than a quarter century. Even though March looked a bit brighter, with the supply crisis reportedly over (there are 3,000 units in transit and production is approaching 200 units per day) the automaker is reportedly studying the feasibility of giving its pivotal MKZ the launch it originally deserved.
According to TheDetroitBureau.com, putting the MKZ back on consumer's radar could cost Ford tens of millions of dollars, but that kind of investment may be warranted if potential buyers have forgotten about the new model... or worse, if they have forgotten about Lincoln.
